Carrots, friendship, mystery, and great detectives! A fun story!

🐰 I loved the fact that this one is all about animals! I do love books in which animals are human and do human stuff. Like in this one solving mysteries! And in one case of animals, stealing carrots for nefarious reasons!
🐦 I loved both the main characters, Reggie, the rabbit who wants to be a detective, just like Detective Fox, and is hoping to solve mysteries soon! I did feel for him that his first mystery didn’t end so well, so I was hoping extra hard that he would be able to tackle this case! I loved that he was determined, and I had a giggle seeing him fanboy over Detective Fox. That was so sweet! I also loved that he didn’t get scared, even though things did get a bit scary.
And then there is Pipsquark, whose name I kept reading as Pipsqueak as for my head it just made more sense. For reals. At one point in the middle of the book my head finally saw the R and I was so confused, like, wait did they make a mistake with her name this time? looks back Oh, it has always been with an R. I have to say as soon as I knew that I kept stumbling over the name, haha, because my eyes read the R but my mind was like WAIT it is Squack? Right? I liked her quite a bit, yes, at times she was a bit much, but I loved how she trusted Reggie and how she tried to help him out!
🐰 The mystery was oodles of fun! Carrots are disappearing and it seemingly seems like magic! What is happening? I loved figuring out all the little hints, meet the baddies (plus their companions because of course they are not alone), and then the big finale! All excitement!
🐦 The twist near that end just had me clapping my heads in glee. That was so much fun! I had NOT expected that and I loved every bit of it. When that came to surface I just loved how everything clicked together. And yes, I did read back to see if there were clues!
🐰 Reading about the world that Reggie and his friend live in. From the big bustling city, to the tunnels to a suburb which is much calmer, to that apparently birds are not really wanted (I need more on that). I loved how the big city was exactly that, big. A total opposite from the cute suburb that Reggie came from.
🐦 I loved the illustrations (of course, it is Becka Moor), but I also love that we got some comic pages between things as well.
🐰 Grandma! She was just fabulous!
🐦 Detective Fox and his assistant (who I didn’t expect to be a ladybug, haha).

All in all, I loved each bit of this book. I am excited for the next one which will be coming in October! I would highly recommend this book to all. This was just so much fun, tons of mystery, great characters, new friendship, and more!
