4+ stars for a biblical "retelling" of Ruth
The fact God included such a romance story in His Word speaks much of the value He places on godly love and appreciation of both God's will and the value of godly people. Hard work is a wonderful asset but Ruth's ability to see and value the love and respect Boaz has towards her is a wonderful example for all who seek to honor God in their lives. I can easily recommend this book for any age! -
Read this book for the "genre you don't typically read" portion of my 2024 book challenge and it was honestly pretty good! Definitely not something I usually read nor will likely read again, but it was a nice short (I finished in about 2 hours) retelling of the Biblical story of Ruth. Plus who doesn't love a good old fashioned (Amish) love triangle?
