Best of NPR's Lost and Found Sound Vol. 1 Reviews

I ran across this at my library and found it very enjoyable. I know these were segments on NPR, but I hardly ever listen to NPR, so these were all new to me. Some of them are funny, and some of them were educational for me. For example, I never knew about the "lectors" that would read classics and newspapers to the people who were rolling Cuban cigars in Florida a hundred years ago! Quite a fascinating collection.

I love NPR, and I listed to every audiobook of their's that I can get my hands on. So, when I say this is the best on I've listened to so far, it means I really love it. I have always had a think for capturing audio memories. I have old tapes of me talking stretching back nearly 40 years. These stories went far beyond my own audio-journals. They introduced me to sound fanatics, story tellers, musicians, and the inside story one on of my favorite playwrights. I loved this collection!

This book covered all sorts of sounds, probably going as far back as Edison. It's been so many years, that I can't really remember what is on it. I do remember enjoying the book, listening to all of these old sounds.
If you are a buff, recommended.
