The story is predictable from the outset, though that's common enough in romances, and seems to go on a little too long. The most interesting drama comes from the potentially forbidden, or at least troublesome, relationship between a teacher and a student, but this is resolved rather mildly. The weak point of the book might not be the plotting, however, but the remarkably stiff dialogue -- even for a romance, the characters too often sound like they're reading from a grammar textbook rather than being real people talking to each other.

I picked this up at my local library's book sale. I figured it would be a nice light-hearted, happy read for whenever I was in the mood for something like that.
I enjoyed the book. I want to know more about the story of Gram taking in the girls, so I'm going to go back and read the previous two books Berger wrote about the same characters.
Happy ending - my kind of love story! :) -
A good read.
