As a child, Tony Collins was laser focused on a single goal -- making it to the NFL. With hard work and steely determination, Collins defied the odds and lived that dream -- reaching both the Pro Bowl and the Super Bowl as one of the most productive running backs in New England Patriots history. But the road to Collins' dream was littered with temptation, and as he gave in to destructive addictions he reached a sudden dead end in his life as a pro football player. From a deep valley carved by his damaging choices, Collins let the power of hope and redemption pull him up to a new purpose of inspiring others and living every day to the full. The dramatic story of Tony Collins' transformation is a reminder that love and positive thinking have the power to save a life.

The book was okay. It was very repetitive. For example, here is the four phases of the novel:
-Phase One: a man is engulfed with football
-Phase Two: a man is engulfed with football, women, drugs, and alcohol
-Phase Three: a man is engulfed with just women, drugs, and alcohol
-Phase Four: a man finally successfully quits women, drugs, and alcohol and begins to live his life innocently

That was basically the summary of the book. A man, Tony Collins, always dreamed of playing in the NFL. Finally, his dream comes true. But with hanging around some of his teammates who like to party, he starts having repetitive sexual relations with women, daily use of cocaine and marijuana, and constant use of alcohol to send his life down the toilet. In about 1989, his eighth year in the NFL, he was kicked out of the league because he had failed too many drug tests. After that, he still continued the bad attractions he'd been doing in the league. But one day, he finally started to realize all the wrong he had been doing in his life and tried to get out of the drug culture. With ample help from many of his family and friends, he's now an inspirational speaker trying to help people, mostly teenagers, not go down the same path he did.
