Werewolf Ben Rosewood is happy with his life. One hundred percent. Everything is fine. His business, Ben’s Plant Emporium, is thriving, and he’s even expanding the shop. His anxiety disorder is…well, it’s been better, but that comes with the territory of running a business and having beastly urges every full moon, right? As for romance—who has the time? Though his family is desperate to see him settled, Ben is fine approaching forty as a single werewolf. But after drunkenly bidding on and winning a supposedly-possessed crystal on eBay one night, he finds himself face-to-face with a beautiful but angry vampire.
Eleanora Bettencourt-Devereux is a rare breed—a vampire succubus born from two elite European bloodlines during medieval times. But thanks to an evil witch, she’s been stuck in a crystal since she was thirty, forced to obey orders from the possessor of the rock. Eleanora’s been dreaming of breaking the spell and severing the witch’s head for centuries. But did this witch really sell her to someone new, and for only ninety-nine cents?
Eleanora would claw this werewolf’s heart out and eat it, if only the binding spell would allow her to. But Eleanora and Ben soon realize they can help each other with both vengeful and less hostile needs. And why not have a little fun along the way?

This book has the vampire dick-biting I didn’t even know I’d been waiting for all my life. WEREWOLF’S GUIDE— in a word — fucks.
-
it was pretty solid actually, i really liked the first book and the dynamics in this book were definitely something i’ve never read before which i enjoyed. i also think the plot itself was interesting too. it’s just not something that i love… you know? i do like books with the werewolf and succubus/vampire relationship like this is coming out at the perfect time.

I have to say this happens to be one of the oddest stories I’ve had the pleasure of reading. The author has done an amazing job developing the plot and the characters.
The story itself is unique and imaginative. Plus, it was fun!
The two main characters are complete opposites, and while Eleonore is almost off the charts wacky throughout the book, we finally get to see her real person start to come through.
She mellows, her anger dissipates, and she truly becomes a wonderful addition to the story. She’s weird and quirky but certainly knows how to handle her man. Just as a side note – her biting is a little edgy. STEAMY!
Ben is soft-spoken and genuine. A real sweetheart of a guy. He is definitely getting used and overseen by other people in the community.
He’s a perfect balance to her wildness and together they offset each other and work really well together. Their chemistry is hot and steamy which definitely makes the story more.
We see characters pop in from the other books but this does not detract from the story because they all a part of a wild diverse community. The tight-knit group adds a lot to the whole plot, and A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire is a funny, quirky story.
Hawley delivers a complex and delightful romance that is absolutely a stand-out read!

This is the third book in an adorable magical series. I have loved all 3. This genre is tailor made for me. It’s the sweet spot between a fantasy and a contemporary romance. I love anything withy, vampiric, or with werewolves. This was no exception. If Sarah Hawley keeps writing these books, I will keep reading them. I love the romance and the spice level. Also, as a plant lover I loved Ben. I highly recommend this series for anyone who loves a spicy little paranormal romance.

YA'LL....A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire is LIVE!!! You need to read this hilarious and fun book!
4.25 Stars
A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire is a hilarious, fun and entertaining whirlwind.
I just had the best time with this book. A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire is my first Hawley book and I have to tell you, I'm obsessed. This is the third book in the series but it can be read as a standalone. I will admit that the first chapter there are people mentioned that you felt like you could know their back story but I'm promising you that you don't need to know it and won't even think about it past that.
Ben is the perfect nerdy, cinnamon roll werewolf who will just have you melting from his sweetness. But for me that star is Eleanora. She is a sassy, wildcat vampire who has been under the spell of a witch for 600 years. Of course she is going to be full of spit and fire. Think genie but with a crystal and not wishes but anything you command.
Add in all the other characters, most of them paranormal and funny as well, you will be laughing the entire time. I truly did have so much fun with this and I CANNOT wait to go back and read the first two books plus anything she writes in the future.
I'm telling you.....PICK UP THIS BOOK......NOW -
2.5/5 This was a cute, cozy story with found family. I enjoyed the fact that the male main character was a nerdy werewolf with anxiety. Ultimately, it felt way too long for what it was and the sister had way too prominent of a plot line for this to not even be her book. I lost interest sadly.

I LOVED THIS SOOOO MUCH. Sarah Hawley is my absolute favorite when it comes to supernatural romances. All three books in this series have been huge hits for me, but I think this one is my biggest love in Glimmer Falls… and so far, this is my favorite book of 2024.
A vampire succubus and werewolf???? Perfect match already. But now… an anxious, sweet, soft and caring man and a touch-him-and-you-die woman???? THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT. They made such a perfect pair! Even thought at first Eleonore didn’t trust Ben due to the nature of their bond (he literally owns her but don’t worry he would never do anything to harm her), she realizes very fast how kind and generous Ben is… maybe too kind and generous, so she makes it her mission to stop people from taking advantage of him. Deep down, Eleonore was so sweet as well. Her PTSD and trauma made her grow a big armor around herself, but meeting Ben and everyone else in Glimmer Falls helped her relax and find a home where she could be happy and feel loved, just as she deserved after centuries of being manipulated and mistreated.
The romance was perfection. They were so beautiful together. Eleonore’s protective instincts matched perfectly with Ben’s deep caring. Their personalities were a perfect match. And the steam… highest tier. There’s neck biting… and nether regions biting. And so much communication and consent. Everything was soooo perfect!
TW: PTSD, panic attacks
Rating: 5+/5
Steam level: Open door, 4-5 scenes, high level of detail

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley for the arc!!

This book was absolutely adorable and hilarious! I adored Ben and Eleanore, and their relationship dynamics and chemistry were great. I think this is my favourite book out of the series! I really liked Eleanore, and I thought she was a really interesting character. Watching her adapt to a new time period was quite entertaining, and she was overall just a fabuously weird character! I also really liked Ben and enjoyed how the author depicted his anxiety. The author's portrayal of anxiety attacks and anxiety was very realistic and was done very well. Ben was very off to the side in the previous books, so I was excited for him to be the main character. I loved getting to see all of the characters from the previous books (especially Astaroth; I love him he's an icon), and I absolutely love this friend group! Overall, I would completely recommend this book, and I really hope Sarah Hawley writes more books in this series! :) -
Oh my GOD this was so much fun!!!! So delightfully bizarre, super sweet, and absolutely hilarious 💜 I seriously cackled my way through this whole book it was so unpredictable and wildly entertaining. I would read a hundred more books in this series if I could 🙌

Thank you to Berkley for the gifted copy!
A shy, socially anxious werewolf and an ancient vampire succubus assassin who is bound to a gem? What a set up! This book was so fun - it had Sarah Hawley's signature wit and laugh out loud writing. The tension as a result of the forced proximity? Excellent. Ben's internal monologue? Funny and relatable. Eleanora's journey to gaining independence and finding her place in the world? Heartwarming and engaging. Glimmer Falls is also such a delightful backdrop for this story to be set on - it's basically fantasy Stars Hollow. I can't wait for Sarah's next book! -
The best part about the book was the characters. I think the author did a rather splendid job depicting anxiety through the main male character Ben. His inner turmoil at dealing with the lack of control when turning into a werewolf really resonated with the constant insecurity that can thrive with anxiety. I think Eleonore was a hoot, she was hilarious in first introductions, dealing with the time difference and the new world theater made me smile and gush over how socially awkward she was when dealing with people. I also enjoyed her struggle with her situation and trust issues due to her past and her current situation trapped in the curse. These characters had depth and felt like real people I've talked with in my life and it was nice to get that kind of character development in a contemporary paranormal romance.
The chemistry between Ben and Eleonore was poppin’ and I was in the front seat for it. I think the slow burn but steady build to their relationship was well timed and didn’t feel forced, their interactions felt awkward for their first conversations but then as they continued to go about day to day I could feel the relationship and romance develop naturally. The spice scenes were good, I enjoyed that she didn’t go too heavy on the spice and lose her way in telling the story either, Sarah Hawley has a gift at interwoven timing when storytelling.
Considering this book was read out of order, I never felt myself feeling lost or out of place with the world Sarah has built the romance in. It seems like Vampire and Werewolves are known among people in this town and there are interesting interactions that make me feel like “this is how this would go down in the real world” that made it feel organic and interesting. I like the overarching plot of the story, the fact Eleonore is essentially in service to Ben because he purchased her crystal was never overshadowed by mundane issues. I like that Ben was constantly devoted to his sister to the point his stress over helping her with her career made it difficult for him to juggle finding Eleonores witch and her understanding character after seeing his innocent devotion that is keeping him away. However, the one thing that bothered me was the fact that the witch who initially bound her never truly became the antagonist we were all hyped up to believe. It felt like all that Eleonore suffered when in service to the witch was unjustified due to the relationship. The idea of not letting Eleonore have her justice didn't sit well with me.
Overall this book was unique for me, I've read books that use the “curse” trope but never with a MMC who just feels constant guilt for buying the crystal while drunk. Usually it's with a morally gray jerk who constantly abuses the power until he realizes he's fallen in love. It was a great book and i'm so excited to dive into the first of the series despite having read this one first.
Thank you to Edelweiss+ and the Author for a digital ARC in exchange for an honest review. -
Plant lover and werewolf, Ben Rosewood, turns his life upside down when he drunkenly bids on, and wins a magical crystal on eBay. When it shows up, he finds himself in possession of a vampire succubus. Eleanora Bettencourt-Devereux has been trapped in the crystal for centuries. She is cursed to obey whoever possesses it. The tale that unfolds was fast-paced, entertaining and adorkable.
I loved Ben’s Plant Emporium with a new coffee shop and soon to be theater. Ben’s been living a quiet, perhaps uneventful life as he accomplishes his goals and helps others. Maybe a little too much, as he is feeling stretched. Eleanora shakes things up, and I loved the interaction between the two.
Eleanora agrees to help Ben by performing on stage and Ben agree’s to help her break the curse. Along the way, things get complicated, especially since Eleanora is under a curse. I loved watching these two grow into a couple, fumble and find themselves.
Of course, we see the previous couples and get updates. Ben and Eleanora’s quest to free her took us to some familiar places and trouble ensues. Hawley’s characters are ones you grow to care about and she wraps the tale in swoons and laughter.
I am assuming this was a trilogy, but would welcome more stories set in this world and town. Perfect for readers looking for supernatural small-town romances filled with humor and happily ever afters.

A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing A Vampire is a fantastic, bitey romp with gorgeous anxious plant daddy energy and a stabby female lead who wears thigh holsters AND will threaten violence to anyone who harms her person. Honestly, I must have pleased some sort of book goddess for netgalley to approve me for this one, and it was an absolute joy that rekindled my intense love of vampires and werewolves. It was such a treat to return to Glimmer Falls, especially because this time it was also like binging Vampire Diaries with a soft, cinnamon roll werewolf man who is a crier and cares so hard for his friends and family. Ben and his anxiety felt relatable, as did Eleonore and her stabby (and extremely hot) rage. Ben, I would totally allow her to bite me, too. Ten out of ten, be right back where I revisit my vampire obsession of the early aughts, but rebooted for a new decade. This is absolutely stellar and super hot.
Thank you to Berkeley Romance, Netgalley, and Sarah Hawley for the eARC! -
Ben, a socially anxious and morally concerned werewolf drunkenly bids on a cursed vampire succubus, Eleanora, and ends up falling for her in this delightfully STEAMY paranormal romance set in the Glimmer Falls universe.
I loved all the characters in this book so much!!! The mayoral race between Ben's sister and a corrupt witch was pure fun and the chemistry between Ben and Eleanora was chef's kiss. Eleanora was a badass vampire out for vengeance and she was a ton of fun!!
Amazing on audio narrated by Helen Laser, who nailed Eleanora's French accent! I can't recommend this series enough, especially for fans of authors like India Holton. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy and @prhaudio for a complimentary ALC in exchange for my honest review. -
this cover!!!
im obsessed -
Another fun adventure in Glimmer Falls! I didn't love it as much as the first two books, but it was still enjoyable and cute. I loved the honest and vulnerable anxiety rep. The book itself just felt much longer than it needed to, so I was definitely skimming a bit there at the end!
-
I had read the first two books in the series and absolutely loved them. Sarah Hawley has such a unique style of balancing humor with deeper undertones in her contemporary romances.
This one was funny, sweet, quirky, and emotional in a very endearing way. I don't feel that the premise behind the emotional impact was as good as the last two but it was still a wildly enjoyable read. I am so grateful to have received and ARC of this book as it was one of my highly anticipated reads for this year.
I would highly recommend this book and the series as a whole to anyone who is interested in reading a romcom style book with dabbles of fantasy sprinkled in. You'll laugh throughout this book as you follow the antics of the "scooby gang" through Glimmer Falls.
You'll meet old enemies and discover new romances with the angsty Eleonore and cinnamon roll Ben on their journey to save Eleonore from a lifelong curse.
I do suggest reading this entire series in order to gain the full effect and impact. -
good but i think it started to lose me at the end like it was sweet but why was i being taunted w certain events that DIDNT happen…. JUST SAYING
-
This book is everything I want from a RomCom! The MCs are likable, the chemistry is good, and the story flows nicely. I have not read the other 2 in this series, but didn't feel lost in the story or world that Sarah Hawley has created.

If you are looking for a fun book that will make you laugh out loud, maybe tear up a bit, and cheer for an anxious, plant-growing, sweater vest wearing, knitting werewolf...Look no further.
Welcome back to the supernatural community Glimmer Falls and reintroduce yourself to Ben Rosewood - a werewolf who isn't 100% into being a werewolf...if he had his way he'd have all his knitting done way before Christmas, and he'd have a sweater vest in every single color, he wouldn't have to shift at the full moon and he'd maybe be in a relationship.
Instead, he has to shift every full moon and eat rabbits (and be *very* upset about it) and then try to be everything for everybody, (including his sister, Gigi, who decided she should run for mayor).
One night, Ben does some drunk shopping, and buys a plastic stone advertised to have a beautiful succubus vampire in it for 99 cents...Enter Eleonore.
A beautiful hybrid vampire/succubus who has been trapped in that stone for 600 years. She knows Star Trek, murder, and not much else. The Wicked Witch who had trapped her didn't exactly allow her to roam freely.
The two of them are immediately drawn to each other. Ben is a bit nervous about this, and Eleonore is excited because she can sense the beast within Ben. As the story progresses this relationship grows and becomes something so beautiful you can't help but smile. There are moments where you literally will laugh out loud.
As someone who has read quite a few heavy, serious, fantasies this year...this was exactly what I needed. Something fun, light-hearted, funny, and a genuinely good read. Not to mention the werewolf/succubus/vampire? It was everything I had no idea I needed. I love Eleonore and I love Ben. I cannot wait to continue in Glimmer Falls, I am so upset I don't live there currently. -
Thank you so much to Berkeley Romance, NetGalley, and Sarah Hawley for an early copy of this book!
Rating- 4.5
Uhm, sorry, but every werewolf book before this has done it wrong.
Yeah, you heard that, Jacob. This is what you could have been.
I am a sucker for this universe Sarah has created- the mixture of urban/paranormal/romantic comedy is a mixture that just fills a void I didn't know existed before I picked these up. And sheesh, does this book feel like a perfect little cherry on top.
"What he would give to be able to love someone with all his neurotic heart . . . but who could possibly love him back?"
There are many things I adored about this book, but Ben, my sweet, sensitive, hunk of a plant-daddy- he was the shining star. His moments of introspection hit so deeply to me- his anxiety, his intrusive thoughts, the self-doubt... it was all relatable to me in a way that had me in tears, my heart aching with being seen.
But, what is a golden retriever without their black cat? Enter Eleonore- our resident succubus/vampire baddie with a penchant for threats of bodily harm and a good Star Trek reference. She, too, had so many moments that struck me- feeling trapped, controlled, unable to live in her own definition of the word. Watching her character grow and unfurl was so beautiful and I think the author did a really excellent job at giving her a realistic journey into her healing.
And OH. MY. GODS. The spice.
Absolutely, yes.
You know that saying "gentleman in the streets, freak in the sheets?". Yeah, Ben must have heard it, too 🥵
“I don’t receive without giving, Eleonore. If we do this, I’m going to be thorough.”
I just adored this book. The character development, the relationships, and the whimsy of it all were just some of the many things that kept me captivated from the first page.
Overall, this was an amazing read and, as always, I can't wait to see more from this author! -
Cover:
The cover captures the essence of the story, featuring illustrations that highlight key aspects of the magical world and the enchanting atmosphere of the tale. (I'm obsessed with the covers for this entire series, let's be honest).
Writing:
Sarah Hawley’s writing balances humor and deeper emotional undertones, creating a funny and heartfelt story. Her contemporary paranormal romance style is engaging and easy to get sucked into.
Storyline:
The plot revolves around Ben, an anxious werewolf, and Eleonore, a socially awkward succubus-vampire hybrid, navigating breaking a curse and developing their relationship. While the premise is intriguing, some elements felt underdeveloped.
Characters:
Ben and Eleonore are our main characters. Ben’s portrayal of anxiety and Eleonore’s struggle with trust issues add depth to their characters and make them incredibly relatable. Their chemistry is natural and evolves beautifully throughout the story. Characters from previous books add humor and continuity for fans of the series.
Romance:
The slow-burn romance between Ben and Eleonore is timed perfectly and feels natural. Their interactions are endearing, and their relationship develops organically, making the romantic subplot enjoyable.
Overall Impression:
A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire is another cozy paranormal romance. At this point, I love Sarah Hawley and this world and will keep reading anything she puts out in it. The characters are well-developed and I continue to enjoy the banter. While some plot elements could have been better fleshed out, the story's heartwarming romance and engaging writing make it a fun read for fans of cozy, character-driven books. Fans of Sarah Hawley’s previous books will enjoy catching up with familiar faces and new adventures in Glimmer Falls. -
This book is outlandishly, insanely GOOD! Cinnamon roll werewolf finds a firey hot succubus vampire and the adventure begins!
The character development for both main characters is beautifully written. I loved the fish out of water element of Eleanore finding her way in the modern world after 600 years of captivity. It was not cheesy and predictable I thought it really showed her strength and her struggles perfectly. Ben and his vulnerability was touching and I was truly impressed with not using the temptation to make him an insufferable Alpha when under stress.
The spice was SPICY and I absolutely adored it, perfectly descriptive and very sexy. Consent consent consent! Their constant concern for each others consent made me adore both characters even more.
The side characters of this book are fabulous. Found family at its absolute best.
I can’t recommend this highly enough, it’s unique and very refreshing for an urban Romantasy. No overused tropes, just all delight! It’s quirky and fun. -
Ok so I'm late to the Sarah Hawley party clearly. Glimmer Falls is magical. That's literally and metaphorically meant. If but a place of such vast diversity and acceptance exists in this reality... I really enjoyed this story. I enjoyed the plot, the characters and the HEA. I realized somewhere in the middle that I have book one of Glimmer Falls on my TBR. Despite this being book 3 I didn't feel lost. The author dropped enough crimes for me to contextualize.
Also call I just say how nice it is to have mature MCs? Is nice that they're not so young that you have to work so hard remenber what it was like being that age. Also the fact that Ben the beefcake has some significant mental health struggles that he's coped with. There's are descriptions of anxiety that are better than I've read in any book to date. (Brava Sarah). The sex positive nature of interactions I think ramps up the spice. Oh and Eleonore setting a boundary with Gigi... chef's kiss. Thank you Sarah Hawley and Penguin Random House for the opportunity. -
The previous in this series have been absolutely brilliant and I could not contain my excitement at the title of this one. And with Ben our fav and lovable werewolf? Yes please. Sign me up.
I’ve loved the snippets of Ben in the previous books and I really enjoyed getting to know his character more. He’s the understanding and forever people pleasing plant nursery owner and the reserved werewolf finds himself fairly out of his depth in an unconventional relationship.
Finishing this I feel like I need go back and read the others again because it’s made me realise how much I enjoyed them and I felt so nostalgic about the series. I love being in Glimmer Falls. A more feel good romance with supernatural element you will not find! And plenty of steam too.
Cosy, fun, full of humour and entertaining, I couldn’t have enjoyed or love this book any more!!
Thank you to the author and publisher for this book on NetGalley in return for my honest thoughts and review. -
Thank you Berkley and Netgalley for the free e-arc in exchange for an honest review.
Sarah Hawley COOKED.
Oh my god!!! Eleanora and Ben are my favs!!
Seeing Ben get his own book was so fulfilling. When I started this series, I knew I was more than ready for his book and I was exactly right.
This couple actually means so much to me, Ben is an anxious werewolf and Eleanora is your grumpy mistrustful vampire succubus. I enjoyed their chemistry and their story.
"Dick biting"... is something that actually GAGGED me.
Eleanora getting justice was so deserved, she enjoys so much love and joy and Ben gives her exactly that. I love myself a man that not only is in tune with her own emotions but the emotions of those around him.
I really thought it was interesting to see Eleanora's character development into not only society but her own personality. It was so great to see her grow confident and loving within her on skin.
I am thrilled for you guys to read this! If you love werewolves, vampires, steamy and hilarious content then this is the book for you!! -

Glimmer Falls, how I adored you. Imagine Stars Hollow but make it paranormal, with werewolves and vampires and witches and demons. So good!
I also adored Ben. The ultimate cinnamon roll. Impossible not to want the best for him, or to hug him, or to just put him inside a huge indestructible bubble so nothing can get to him.

I adore this series so much - every book is just so FUN and entertaining to read. This could well be my favourite of the three - a werewolf with anxiety and a vampire-succubus who loves Star Trek? Be still my anxious, Trekkie heart! This book was made for me.
You're going to adore this book if you're a fan of paranormal romance with real heart - there are moments of vulnerability and tenderness amongst witty banter and ridiculous hijinks. Familiar faces from previous books round out a cast of side characters who add more hilarity to the story.
This is a popcorn read through and through, and I loved it.
