Poor Lyric's grief almost took her under, but the love and support of her family kept her afloat. Her family was solid and did not play about her! Thinking a change of scenery would do her some good, put her in the path of trash ass Jonathan, who caused her to lose years of her life, over his bullish!! 🤬 Now back home, anxious and not knowing how to proceed in her life, she runs into Zeus "Zoo" Jackson.
Zeus is dealing with overcoming an injury and is unsure if his team will resign him to another NBA contract. Going home to regroup, he runs into his high school crush, Lyric, and decides to shoot his shot. Lyric just has so much going on and believes she can't afford the distraction of Zeus in her life. But he is in the right place to support her more times than she can count and decides to give it a shot.
Zeus and Lyric were cute together, and just what the other needed to get through the challenges they were experiencing in life. 👍👍👍 -
Good read
Lyric's life took a turn that I didn't expect to happen. She got through it and even though it was a little rocky at first, she got through it. I loved the bond between her, and her family and friends.
I loved how patient Zeus was with her, and gave her the space she needed. They were perfect for each other. -
Friends to Lovers!!!
Lyric went through a lot regarding her ex and a jail sentence. Zoo went through a lot concerning his career and his ex. What starts out as them supporting each other through some difficult times ends up turning to love and passion. I loved how her cousin, her auntie and uncle had Lyric's back. I also loved how Lyric stood by Zoo during his difficult moments. I couldn't stand Lyric's daddy and Zoo's ex. They were both trifling and selfish in their behavior. It was also good catching up with the characters from If It's Love. This is a great friends to lovers book that I highly recommend. -

Think series is really good. Love the names Zeus and Lyric. I hated what happened to Lyric. They both was good together. -

This book was everything. I love the fact that Lyric and Zues was there for each other. They each had their own issue and they both deserved happiness. -
