Minecraft (The Ultimate Players Guide To Minecraft) Reviews

  • sky does minecraft

Love it. But there's no butter in this book

This was a very fast 30 min read during lunch. It was my first LibraryThing review I'd done.

I am very new to Minecraft, having played it a couple of times on PC and once on the tablet. I thought this book would be a good introduction, and it was, but only in certain ways.

The book seems to assume you've played or read enough to know basic controls, and that's fine, but the tips it gives you past that, at least in house building, surviving at night and fighting common enemies, are not much more detailed than a very beginning guide. While the chapters had some interesting tidbits, the whole thing read like a webpage guide - not really much depth to anything at all.

As an "Ultimate" Players Guide, it really is Ultimate only for the first time player. You'll very quickly outgrow it.

i read this book not once not twice but three times in my life. it gave details on how to defeat slendermen and creepers. i have not played minecraft in years but i could easily go back to it thanks to this book…it would be five stars but i could never get out of the nether portal. minus one stars!

  • Big Man Egg

would rate 10 again love the drug cartel dlc

  • Danni

This guidebook is certainly not ultimate. It does, however, provide a solid and fairly quick introduction that would get new players efficiently and excitedly engaged in the minecraft world. It only touches on many of the items and creatures in the world. I would have expected more on crafting. There aren't even simple charts on how to make the most basic tools. It also has no mention of the End or how people get started with playing on group servers. If you are gifting the game to a new person, maybe give them this, too. If you've played the game already or are looking for specific information, stick to the online resources for the game.

pretty average; informative with regards to nether but the rest was very basic. best to read either before you start playing or during first play

Makes me want to grow sugar cane and cactus in the future.
