The Werewolves of Central Park Reviews
-
Cardamone introduces us to New Amsterdam. A mythical New York city containing werewolves, fauns, centaurs and witches, warlocks and trolls etc and chronicles the day-to-day happenings of a few of the cities inhabitants.
Cardamone has created a setting that isn't well developed, it's New York City as we know it with mythical elements thrown in hodge-podge. In short, mythological figures from old greek mythology have come from their respective places and have settled into a modern context. The writer hints at a good story about diversity politics and a parable about immigration featuring some cool werewolves, but instead its a shallow pornographic novel.
I think I'm expecting too much from an erotic-novel but to enjoy this book I recommend that you need to suspend any disbelief beyond reach and never ask why anything within the book is the way it is, you will only be left disappointed.
With some further explanation and exposition of the world he had created, this book would have been so much more enjoyable.
