Good books! I bought the entire "I survived" book set for my autistic son and read every book to him when he was little. It's always fun to turn these books into a little history lesson and show him YouTube videos of live footage or a book review. It makes the experience of reading these books much more interesting for someone that doesn't enjoy reading and struggles with it. The characters are fictional and the author does a great job researching before writing.

I did not read all these - not yet that is. This weekend alone, I have read four books in the "I Survived." Some may feel these are for the younger generation, but I have found them to be interesting and engaging. It is truly amazing at the spirit of human will to rebuild after such catastrophe. I remember the earthquake of 1989, which was severe. Again, it is truly amazing how the city rebuilt after each tragic event.

I just read The Attacks of September 11, 2001. It was good. My sons and husband just went to author signing for Lauren Tarshis and they had a really great experience. They got books signed. Out of the 3 books they bought, I choose to read the 9/11 one. It was pretty darn good.
