After battling cystic fibrosis for nineteen years, Amber’s lungs were scarred and damaged beyond repair, leaving her in dire need of a double lung transplant. In Breathtaking, The Revised Edition, author Amber Payne takes the reader on her exhilarating journey through a book inspired by a series of gut-wrenching, honest emails she wrote to hundreds across the nation during her illness. Through new material in the revised edition of the book, she and her husband, John, also invite you to learn about their road to oneness and their desire to be used by Him corporately by Him for the Kingdom’s sake.

Five years after Breathtaking’s first release, Amber’s steadfast faith in the sovereignty of God, even amidst adversity, will still challenge you to breathe deeply and embrace life for His glory.

A blog friend of mine wrote this book about your journey in getting a lung transplant, as a teenager I believe. I read about 90% of the way through it many years ago, and remember enjoying it, I think especially because I kind of know the girl who wrote it! Amber is inspiring.
