The Beekeepers Digest: Recipes and Formulas Reviews

I love bees, and one of my friends is actually a bee keeper with about 20 hives. He sells very good quality fire-weed honey. My friend is always busy and every time we meet, we are too busy doing things, and I always forget to ask some questions about his bee. I wanted a concise resource that would teach me about bees, as well as honey and other bee-related facts. Since I have read some of Deborah Dolen's other books, I purchased this book when it was listed for free.

This book feels to me like a giant frequently asked question resource, almost like an encyclopaedia. Besides everything I wanted to learn about bees, there is also information on making some crafts with bee bee wax, as well as how to use natural bee products for cleaning, and health and medicinal aspects of your life. I loved the part on making hand rolled bee wax candles, as those are always to expensive that I can hardly afford them. But they are fantastic in quality, and I cannot wait to make my own bee was candles.

Another great benefit from having this eBook on your Kindle is that the information is so accessible that you can teach bee trivia to your children or grandchildren, or maybe a cousin or a niece. I cannot wait to show my child some of the pictures and talk about some of the other interesting facts about bees.

Overall, this digest is in my opinion all a beekeeper needs to have in order to enjoy beekeeping as a hobby and for self use, or for making a profit by running a home beekeepers business. There are a lot of commercial ideas that can be explored, and keeping bees is not just about the honey, as you will find out reading this book.

Thanks Deborah for writing another great resource for my Kindle, and I am looking forward to reading some of your other books.

Bounced around a little, and also toggled between different voices. Overall pretty good, especially the recipes.
