The way Love has my emotions in utter turmoil should be illegal!!!! I need to press charges ASAP!! I meannnn im being seriously violated!! And y’all want me to do this for how many more series?!? The lies y’all tell and the people who believe them! 🤣🤣 it’s me, I’m people because ima still keep going 😒😩! Look it was soooo much happening in this book! Let me quickly unpack these proverbial bags so I can jump into book 3 because Rayna and her insecurities got me FKD up!!

Whew the heartache and the turmoil!

•Michelle…..😪🤧 y’all ain’t right!! Yes im side eyeing you ladies 😒😒😒😒😒😒😒 (one for each of you and a few extra for good measure)
•The thing that happened right after Michelle!!! How did Rayna bear the grief?! The strength of a woman even when she believes she’s weak! Whew Chile!
•Did Rayna’s grandfather read her for filth or did he 🗣️READ HER FOR MF FILTH!!! I got my shït together after that speech 🤣😅
I understood Rayna’s need to leave home when she went off to college but that return visit when she saw her sister made me question why she never went back other than to visit her brother. I really want to see these siblings have a healthier / closer relationship!

Yazmine and Azmir’s reunion!!! All the emotions 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 That woman was robbed!! As a mother I couldn’t begin to imagine her feelings when she first saw him 😭😭😭😭😭

Azmir and Rayna y’all and this tug of war on each others emotions and mine……..🗣️I’m sick of it!!! Why y’all bout to take me through this for two more books? Huh WHY?!?

  • Deloris

Like the first book this one has so much potential and really should be the end of the story, I found this book repetitive . Rayna's self esteem is so low, she does not realize she deserves to be loved and Azmir is not as sure of him self as everyone seems to think . I liked that about the characters it made them seem real ,but it was a constant theme in this book, so much so I had to stop reading it. The most touching scene is this book was about the reaction to Michelle I cried , that's how I know of this author really does have the talent to write good books .I just feel this story should have been finished with book two. New things and new characters are added to the story some add to the story I can't figure out why they were included. I felt like no issues were resolved in this book I am still waiting for Rayan and Azmir to figure out if they are a couple even though they live together and are exclusive. I guess maybe I will learn the answer in book three.I am finishing this series because I want to know what happens and I am not sure how I feel about that.

    The Journey Continues

The ups and downs of both Rayna & Azmir….this couple is really taking me through it….there’s definitely some growth that has occurred, but the two of the have a long way to go for total and complete trust.

  • Book Lover

This book picked up where Love Lost left. Yes, you need to read Book One. Wow, this lived up to and exceeded Book 1.

These two can't admit to each other how they feel - they do so physically, but can't allow themselves to be open to hurt and rejection.

The more that Azmir realizes how he feels about Rayna, the more afraid he is that she may be incapable of being completely open with him.

Even though, Rayna has moved in Azmir, her insecurities about herself won't let her become comfortable in the relationship.

We get in-depth view of how each of them feels about the relationship as it progresses, and it's fascinating.

But there are still outside forces to be reckoned with in the form of ex's, other interested parties (male & female), potential Federal investigations, and unpleasant news from the past coming to light.

The story ends in a place that makes you SCREAM OH NO, DON'T GO YET!!!

So here I sit, waiting for the next install....TBC

  • Bonn

Some of the drama is frustrating as hell!!!!!!!! Azmir will piss you off consistently while making you swoon n buckling your knees.

Love the big dick energy from Azmir 😏 we're not gon talk about the actual big dick.
    The smut it heavy💀.

I love Rayna as much as she frustrates me.. cause I get it but I'm mad cause I'd ask him point blank with some of the issues they have. Otherwise, I love Rayna.

Also, I smell bullshit from Azmir.. what's he up to. He's already lyin

  • Byron Washington

    Hmmm?!?!?!

    🚨🚨SPOILER ALERT🚨🚨

I still like the story, but the female protagonist's insecurities have become EXTREMELY annoying!!! Two more books of that?!?!? I dunno. My mild OCD will compel me to finish this series, but Rayna has got to get it together, EXPEDITIOUSLY!!!

Buy it, read it and enjoy!!👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥

It's taken me quite some time...two books now, for me to really start warming up to Azmir and Rayna in these books. Some of this, I think can be attributed to the style of writing Love used in these books. It's clear these are some of her earlier works. Because while the story is just as deep and engaging as any of her other books, the execution comes off a bit...stunted for me. The finesse she has on her writing now, was not quite as developed and refined which is 100% understandable considering these are her earlier works.

I started reading these books because I was interested in the infamous Azmir Divine Jacob's and how he came to be so well renowned and respected in the LB universe. I will say, that curiosity into who he is and how he and Rayna end up where they do, is the only thing keeping me invested enough to continue the series. If this were any other author and any other couple, I would have probably tapped out after or even in the middle of book one.

For now though! We will continue forward.

Rayna..... Rayna...... Rayna.... frustrates me to No end.....onto Book 3

    Whew!

I spent a good portion of this book mad because folks will try you. I wish Rayna would communicate better but I’m Team Raymir all the way!

When love happens unexpectedly sometimes we struggle how to move forward.

Rayna Brimm finds herself in over her head and overwhelmed by the charismatic Azmir Divine Jacobs. He is everything in her deepest heart of hearts she has always longed for in a man but because Rayna is so incredibly broken, the mere thought of it relationship keeps her on the defense a lot. Its exhausting and painful to watch or dare say be that person, who wants to run to him but at the same time wants to run as far and fast away from him as you can.

Azmir Divine Jacobs, is an Alpha man to his very core he has cruised control and costed through life building practically a billion dollar empire. He too has longed for the woman who will penetrate and pierce his heart through. He believe he may have found it in Rayna but her flightiness and fear are debilitating for her and a constant frustration for him. Just as it seems like they are making headway, he watches Rayna retreat back into her shell like the turtle, protecting herself against everything and everyone.

Azmir confronts her on it, Rayna knows she has deep seated issues but telling a man like Azmir whom she believes has it all together is just too much for her. So she goes back to watch she knew as a little girl in the beginning, she returns to church because she remembers her mother saying, it is all for the brokenhearted and the sick in spirit. She begins a journey in hopes to finally be free to live, love and laugh.

As Azmir and Rayna continues on their journey, things come up. Painful and heart wrenching things from within and without. Azmir likes to confront things head on, while Rayna likes to run but she is now understanding in dealing with a man like him, she may be able to run but she wont' get far. Rayna and Azmir will begin to come face to face with the demons of their pasts careening towards them into their present.

Another amazing story in this series, that continues to peel back the layers in both of their lives. Just like an onion when you believe you've gotten to the last of it, you soon discover there are much more layers that you could have ever anticipated.

Again the author brings the secondary characters to great life, you get a little more understanding of "The Clan" that Azmir heads. Also of his business relationships with this former Stanford college friends Mark and Eric.

I am excited and to start on Book 3 "Love UnCharted (Love's Improbable Possibility Book 3)". Author Love Belvin just keeps you on your toes, clutching your invisible pearls and makes you examine your own heart in this incredible series.

Well Until My Next Review Ciao Bellas!

Well I know I had to write the review and I held off. I have to print a few examples of why I just couldnt get through this. I NEVER post, print or share bad reviews, books I wasnt thrilled about, but this one I feel compelled because the author asked me to read it. THIS is basically why I was shaking my head. I am not into things like this, language and insulting words. Maybe a character speaks like this and it is not my cup of tea, I get how characters have to take on a persona. There was one in jail, and I get where you are a person of color and maybe use terms like those stated in the book loosely, this is just disgusting. What makes it more unbelievable to me is this is the language and life that the main character Reyna grows up in, but suddenly she is all class and expensive taste.

“Grams brought Pops to see me for the last time last Christmas. That was funny as hell. That nigga didn’t even know what to say. I was looking at him like Yeah, nigga. I’m flesh of your flesh and blood of your goddamn blood. It’s yo’ muthafuckin’ fault that I’m in this bitch. He’s a straight bitch, Na-Na. A straight bitch! I hate that muthafucka.” I silently choked on my tears. I understood the sentiment.Read more at location 142 • Delete this highlight

“I wrote Grams and told her not to bring his gay ass up here no more. When the author said love unexpected was better than love love I'm thinking ok shes insane Bc that book was also amazing!! Lil azmir azmir. Azmir !! Where are you? Lil I loved how developed. I have never re read a book and I can say that this book is a first of the 86 books I have a kindle and each page I was more intrigued as if it were my first time reading it!!! WOW, OK so I finished book two of this series and wow. I actually cried reading this one. The characters are indeed growing and I can't wait to read book 3 so this is a short review. Loved this book and series.

  • Mary

Book 2 in this series. A different kind of love story but a real page turner.

  • Sheena

This would have been a 3 star read for me. But Rayna's growth had me giving this book an extra star. Watching her take those steps was quite beautiful. I hope it gets better going forward.

I also loved watching her and Azmir grow attuned to each other. Though how they still have doubts about how one feels about the other beats me. That man is crazy in love with her, and it had me smiling like the town's idiot on some pages. As for Rayna, sis has some more healing she needs to do. But I believe she'll get there with time.
I guess I'll have to find out for me more in book three.

I would also love to see her bond with Chyna 🌹

Whatever the deal is with Syn (did I write that, correct? I don't quite remember her name) But whatever the deal is with her. She needs to chill. Channels big mouth is quite entertaining. Lol.

Also, Tara's stretch with that name was quite bold. When are we going to find out the impending results of that 'paternity test'? It's killing me. She needs to get it done and quick.

Need I say, Miss Taylor needs to back off!!

All in all, I love the path this story is taking.

    The web that's weaved.....

Wow so much uncertainty in this novel! Not sure what will happen with Rayna, Azmir even Yasmine! I will keep reading knowing turbulence is definitely coming! Another great one for the books!

  • ♡B♡

This like the first was not a dissapointment for me. I enjoyed the story.

I was left wondering WTF? How are you going to end it like that? So yes there is a clifhanger. Leaves you wondering what the hell is going to happen next.

In the first book we get to see where Rayna comes from. I know a few people probably didn't understand what the point of that part was. I believe that we have to see where she came from to see why she is how she is. It may be hard for some to understand how a girl can get out of the ghetto but when it is all you think about, knowing you want something better than what you have. You do what you have to, to get out. In this story we get to see her go back "home" for a visit or two. I am sure that there is a reason that we needed to know what we do about her beginnings. There is always a reason right? There are a few things that are still on my mind. Her ex O for one, I know he has to come back into play at some point. I mean she did take his money to move on and out of the ghetto. That as well as her brother and sister who are still in that area. Then we got her momma. Okay so enough about that. It is all in my mind because at this point I am not 100% where the story is going, it can go in so many different directions.

Back to this one though. I love me some Azmir. He is so sweet when he wants to be but don't get me wrong I would love to see him really lose his shit and let the ghetto come out, like full on come out lol. We did get a taste of it though.

He spoils Rayna...In book one we see that one of the first things he buys her is a Louis Vuitton luggage set. I mean who does that? Azmir that's who... :) He showers her with gifts and that is one thing that she is working on. It is hard to go from not really having much, to needing to work hard to earn what you have, to having things given to you just because. That is an adjustment. We get to see her try to work through that issue because he gets upset when she doesn't like him spending so much money on her. When your with a guy who can literally buy you just about anything, it is a lifestyle change as well as something someone needs to learn to accept as well as adjust to.

I will have to say that it was awesome to see that she was able to contain her ghetto girl. I mean me personally having grown up in the not so great area, well I know that I will always have that part of me but when you are around people and don't want them to know that part of you. You do what you need to, to conceal it. You will do what you need to, to 'fit' in. She has to fight back the desire to let Na Na out a time or two, and I have to say that I am proud of her for holdin it together because I know if it were me, that woldn't have been able to happen. But she did good! :) Rayna has also seemed to understand that if she keeps that part of her at bay she can get people to talk to her more. ahh the power of holding it together and putting on a smile.

Rayna goes through a hard time and some difficult things she needs to deal with and it is hard for her to lean on anyone, to go to them when she needs someone. She is good at pulling away and just keeping to herself as well as pushing people away. Azmir cares about her and has a hard time letting her work through her issues alone. But he gives her the little bit of space she needs, that is until he can't take it any longer.

I honestly don't know what to say about this book I could go on and on about it but don't want to give away too much. There is a lot that happens, we get to see jealousy on both Rayna and Azmir's side...

It leaves you wondering what is going to happen next.

    ehhh

I’m not seeing much progression in the story. I’m all for a broad vocabulary but for one some words just aren’t meshing well and two there’s just an abundance that really aren’t adding to the storyline. The book isn’t bad, it’s just unexciting. Again, coming from Love unaccounted to this series is a bit of a regression but I still think a lot of people will enjoy the series. Especially if they start with this series and read of the order of publishing. The character development wasn’t there for me because as much as Brimm tried to do better she was just as insecure at the end of the book as she was in the beginning. Neither Brimm or Azmir are willing to express their feelings.

Thoughts as I read the book. (Spoilers)

Why is her Brimm’s occupation a secret from her brother? I understand her secrecy but what’s wrong with letting him know that bit of information. Brimm is always seems lost because she’s always saying “huh”, “what” so many times and it’s a little annoying because I know she’s bright. I’m glad Brimm’s grandfather called her out. Why would Azmir want Brimm to meet his mom when she would divulge his street life? Thompson the feds. Why is Azmir still dealing with Big D knowing he killed his father? Is Tara going to fake the paternity test? I thought Kid and Wop were Azmir age, why is he calling them young pups? Why Is Azmir sharing evidence with Big D knowing situation? Not Azmir being mad that he’s not being introduced as her man but he introduces her as a friend.

Love Unexpected was another great read and the storyline developed more since the first book which drew me all into the book.

While reading this book I feel like Love Belvin put me on a roller coaster and strapped me in and did not let me off the ride until the last page. The raw emotions that are displayed in this book will touch your mind, body and soul. Rayna and all insecurities was so relatable to me because sometime when you have been hurt and disappointed you developed insecurities that are hard to let go of.

This story continues the love story between Rayna and Azmir is still going thru it issues but it encompasses true love that has other things that must be work thru before love will take over. The patience that Azmir displays is remarkable and makes you fall for him from day one .

The love scene are scorching and well developed and helps you to understand the dynamics of their relationship. This novel has all the right elements, and it makes you go thru all kind of emotions will you read it.

In conclusion, this is a great follow up to the first book.

    Trouble on the horizon...

This second book is filled with so much... it's a tough, emotional read that guts me every time.

Even now as I reread I feel such angst and distress...

The introduction of the villains just adds to what makes this installment pivotal. It's so well written to continue to draw you into Azmir and Rayna's world...

In this sequel we get to find out more about Rayna and Azmir’s past and see how their beautiful relationship blossoms into so much more than either of them had bargained for when they started seeing each other. Toward the end of the book Ms. Belvin introduces us to Dawn who has trouble written all over her, I can’t wait to read what she’s up to.

Once again this book has left me with an appetite for more !!!

  • Tina Clark

What a beautiful story. Rayna is so strong trying to survive with all her lost and trying not to depend on a man. I can understand that she feels she can't trust azmir but he does keeps his past hidden too. I do love how there relationship is growing. I can't wait for book 3. I already downloaded it.

  • Ang

I thoroughly enjoyed this read. The characters were developed in Love Lost and the saga continues in Love Unexpected as Raya and Azmir test the waters of love and commitment.
The ending left me wanting to know more... and MORE!
Love Belvin has earned another 5 stars.

Azmir Jacobs and Rayna Brimm is a couple to be reckon with! I never read a book quite like this before and I am at a loss what to read next! Rayna's worid is rocked to the core and Azmir is the strength and love she needs. This is a must read!
