Welcome to Our HomeKnit and Crochet Ideas from Red Heart Reviews

  • Donna

This didn't have anything I actually want to make. This is the 2nd time I've looked through it so I'm going to delete it. This is a free ebook that is still available on amazon for free. It looks like the projects are pretty simple and good for beginners. There are a few afghans, several pillows, and a few wreaths. I wish the pictures were better. They are very small so you have to enlarge them but the resolution is bad so you still can't see very clearly.

    Comprehensive

It is amazing what can be done. Some delightful ideas, but would require some dedication. Lovely, warm, inspiring and useful.

What To Do With That Spare Skein of Yarn

There are 15 patterns enclosed. 8 knit patterns and 7 crochet patterns from afghan to pillows and wreaths and golf club covers. The website works for more free patterns. I picked two to share.
Curly Twirly Wreath. This is a knitting project. It explains a Special Abbreviation that everyone might not know. Wreath measures 12" x 1 2" . There are two pictures.
Dancing Leaf Coasters. This is a crochet pattern. There are Special Stitches explained. There are two pictures. If you use fall colors, they can be used for Thanksgiving. If you use red, white and blue, it will be for July 4th.
There are more projects. Enjoy!! 🤓

    Amazing works of artistry

I love the vibrant colors schemes and the way each Afghan or blanket was created. I'm still in the learning stages but I want to create the same majic and I hope that thru this book I can learn how to do it. Mahalo....

This is your basic type of afghan which has been forever with some new twists. If you want a basic afghan, you can probably find one here and best of all, it is free. I like to have a few projects which are on my Kindle so I don't have to drag around my book or instructions when I know I will be out.

    Chart missing for Last Project

I have used patterns from Red Heart years ago. I had about 30 booklets stolen last year. So, I thought I would see if the kindle format would work. Except for the last project, it is fine. But, I would like to make it. Frustrating.

    Surprising

For a free ebook, I was pleasantly surprised with all it contained. I can't wait to make the e-reader cozy.

  • Lys

Some cute ideas in theory, but it was hard to imagine many of them actually being used in a house. Or at least, in my house.

  • NayDoubleU

It's free. You get what you pay for.

Some cool ideas were in here but mostly it was the basic stuff you can get online for free. Same thing I suppose.

    Patterns

Had very good crochet patterns. There was great pictures with diagrams and well written patterns. I would recommend this for some neat pillow and Afghan patterns.

  • Stacy

Even though I don't knit or crochet, it was fun to look through the book and see the different things one can make for the home with this art medium.

  • Paula LeCompte

    Pleasantly surprised

I was very pleased with some of the patterns included in the book. I was especially surprised and happy to find a pretty rug pattern!
