Ancient and mysterious, it’s said that the city was discovered rather than built. Within, Alexander finds a secret so old and so powerful that it could turn the tide of war … and possibly doom Isabel to the netherworld in the process.
Linkershim (Sovereign of the Seven Isles, #6) Reviews
-
Alexander sets out from Bragador's home, is ambushed and taken as a slave to the city of Mithel Dour to work in the mines. He is being restrained by a slave collar to prevent the use of magic. Once there, Alexander discovers something ancient, powerful and incredible in the mines that could help him win the war. The dilemma lies in the fact that it could potentially doom Isabel at the same time.
Isabel, a prisoner of Phane, is struggling to keep the power of Azugorath, the wraith queen from taking complete control of her mind and soul. Phane is still trying to find and open the box holding the third key stone required to open the Nether Gate.
The story is coming to conclusion with the next and final book. Wells writing has improved with each book as the story has developed. Alexander, seemingly outnumbered, outgunned and disheartened is fueled only by his love for Isabel and his unwitting desire to protect the innocent. It will be interesting to see how Wells concludes the series. -
Linkershim
Broad in scope, majestic in power book six is a masterpiece. David Wells paints a canvas with strokes of character, plots and acts of nature. You will be captivated by all the twists and turns as you follow Alexander and his quest to free the seven isles from Phane. -
“I CAST A SPELL... ... ... “
I have now completed book #6 in the SOVEREIGN OF THE SEVEN ISLES series. I have been captivated since book #1 of this series. When I review, I do not bring up the purpose of characters contained within the writing, I care more about how an authors work transports me into their imagination, how immersed I become into the storyline, holding my breath, laughing or being amazed at twists and turns in plots, —- am I reading until 3am because I just have to know what happens next??? 👀👀
This series is so well written that I believe a movie/series would be more powerful to viewers than GOT. This series contains good, evil, love, hate, magic, SUPER MAGIC, loyalty, righteousness, characters that start to feel like friends, (or enemies). There is blood, gore, and monsters that make you admire the Author for riveting originality. Of course, a movie or series would only be successful if this creation was followed by the book!!!! Just my humble opinion.
READ THIS SERIES—If you love Si-Fi, Fantasy, Dystopian edges, Dragons, Magic, Romance, Mystery..... honestly, this Series contains all of these and more. I more than highly recommend it, I cast a spell of anticipation that will not leave you until you open this Series and discover you need to create your own Wizards Den to shut out the rest of the world as you navigate through an imagination as powerful and creative as Tolkien!!
Now, I’m off to Book #7 of this series!! ANTICIPATION!! WOOT WOOT!!! -
Now we're getting somewhere. There's still a crapload of stuff happening but it feels like it's coming together. Wells himself seems to grow more with each book, as well. Rather than being irritated with the abrupt choppiness that's started and ended each book in the middle of the action, this one even found a perfect place--leaving you excited dive into the climax.

The story gets better
The author cleverly balances the story on more than 1 thread, but keeps you gripped all the way through. At times you get frustrated with characters, but keep with the storylines till then end, going through various twists and turns. A very good read this series has turned out to be. -
Even though Phane is bad bad guy, I enjoy psychology behind his character and I love how Isabel is being defiant to him.... that's the main thing I got from this book and I pretty much raced through it as it was easy to read... Now off to the last book!

Definitely the best book of the series for me, contained more surprises and was less predictable than the rest! Don't skip this one, excited for the final book!
