A very lovely book with a lot of twist and turns. It has some sad and unexpected parts but that’s mimicking real life...
Following the life of Abby from her childhood till adulthood, through the war, the loss of an important relationship and the eventual happy ending. A really good book! -
Loved this book it follows the life of Abby Vickers and her family. It starts in 1921 and goes through the war and ends in 1955. Poor Abby has a terrible time with her Mum who beats her but nothing prepares Abby for the awful family secret her mum has kept from everyone until it suits her to tell and try to ruin Abby's life. I highly recommend this book a great read from start to finish.
