Christine Bristol is sick of waiting. For three years she’s done as everyone tells her, putting aside dreams of the handsome photographer who captured her girlish fancy, trying to forget the mother who abandoned her on the stage to Abilene. Now she doesn’t care who gets hurt in her desperate bid to follow her heart. Heading across the prairie in a cramped, horse-drawn wagon, Christine discovers that much of the bitterness she’s known comes from her own lack of faith. On her journey of discovery to San Francisco, Christine finds a love that reunites her with her real family; puts her in touch with her true self; and brings her back to the simple Kansas homestead.

Journey to Love (Angels of Mercy #2) Reviews

  • Melissa (Trying to Catch Up)

If I could give this zero stars I would. Totally inappropriate for a Christian book--quite a bit of swearing, and the bride is WAY too young. I know, back in the day, people used to get married at 13. But I don't want to read about it because it turns my stomach. I don't want to picture my teenage daughter in this book. Terrible.

These books actually should be called fantasy and not Christian fiction. There’s not very much actual biblical truth in the stories. On the other hand, there is a tremendous amount of mysticism and Catholic dogma. Stories would be totally a delight otherwise. I hope this author knows the difference between Christian and mysticism and will correct her self in the future.

I loved the first book so much I immediately bought the Kindle version of the next book in the series.

Within the first few chapters I tried to return it. Amazon denied the return, with no reason for the rejection. My response for wanting to return it was questionable content, which for me is language and sexual situations. Nothing like that was in book-one, except one "damned savages". But as it was only once, I let it go.

I’m so disappointed in this book that proclaiming Christ, having such a good story, but includes such objectionable material. And of course I’m disappointed Amazon wouldn’t take it back for any reason I tried.

  • Elizabeth "Liza"

3.5 starts. This is a good follow up to book one which I adored. It is a book with a lot of character grown for Christine, but at the same time the love story is just plain weird at the beginning since she was so young when she met Tucker. It all worked out at the end though. Billy and Christine's mom is a piece of work!

    Ture love

I love to read Charlotte Hubbard's books! She writes so well you can't put the book down until you finish. The story flows along with adventure and tears. Have a box of tissues at hand and enjoy as much as I have reading this series.

Journey to Love (Angels of Mercy book 2)

More adventurous and challenging than book 1. True love means different things, some good , some not so good. I liked the determination of the young lady to seek and find true love of mother, and the man.

    Fast read

I was excited to read book 2 after book one was so amazing. It was fun following my old friends and making new one. However the story spent to much time on Christine's bad behavior. It went on waaaaay to long.

Journey of Love continues the story of Patchwork Family. I enjoyed this book, it did have a couple of twists that I didn't for see. Like the first book in this series it is very emotional. I love the way the scriptures of the Bible are woven into the story line without being preachy. I am sure I will read the rest of the series as it gives comfort to the trying times we are living.

  • Nana

Determined to find her mother and bring her home.

To go from a strong-willed teenager into a refined young lady with a quest to unite her family once again. A lot of heart breaking facts and a lifetime of love are the results.
