This book was imterest8ng and I learnt quite a lot about the human body and what I liked was at the end there were lots of puzzles and riddles which were fun to crack!

  • Vaishnavi Rai

This book is for very one who is interested in science and wants to know more about it . The visuals of this book are amazing.

This book is incredibly fun, even for adults. I like to just sit and open it random and read about something interesting. It covers all kinds of aspects of the world with amazing graphics and art to show you details and the insides of things.

The sections include space, earth, nature, the human body, science, and history. Details of what is included include things like starburst, the water cycle and glaciers, survival secrets of animals in nature, magnetism, the ancient world, the human body and brain power, and how chemicals work inside the human body. And that’s just an incredibly brief overview. There is also a nice little reference section in the back that has maps, lists, and things of that sort.

You aren’t going to go in depth into anything of course, but it definitely gives you a quick overview and is interesting enough that you’ll be doing follow ups of your own. I would like to have seen a nice bibliography, but that may be too much to ask.

Enriching, thoughtful and informative experience. I translated two parts of the encyclopedia and revised all of it. Hopefully, my and my colleagues efforts will be fruitful and i wish we - as Arabs- have similar encyclopedias by arabian authors in the near future.

I've read the Knowledge Encyclopedia cover to cover and enjoyed it immensely. It's easy to read, informative, and the illustrations are absolutely amazing. Some might argue that the explanations don't go very deep, but that is to be expected from a general knowledge encyclopedia that covers a truly wide range of topics.

brilliant book. I have read this book cover to cover several tines over (in no specific order). Good for kids from any age. My eldest has loved it since he was four and still loves it two years later. Detailed facts on a wide number of subjects without being too heavy.

    Professional Review: From Booklist
Packed with information in six sections (“Space,” “Earth,” “Nature,” “Human Body,” “Science” and “History”), this lavishly illustrated volume provides accessible and engaging information for middle-grade learners and up. Every page is tightly laid out with facts, photos, illustrations, and impressive 3-D renditions. Although too broad for targeted research, the Smithsonian Knowledge Encyclopedia allows readers to become immersed in the details and visuals that abound. This text fits the bill for school and public libraries interested in general reference at a reasonable price point. --Blaire Ranucci

"Knowledge Encyclopedia" covers a wide range of subjects from astronomy to biology, chemistry, physics, technology and history. With various illustrations and colorful images, this book keeps me interested during the time I was reading it. It might not give you the details on each point as you may expect, but it provides enough background ideas for us to enjoy this experience and learn something new.
