One year and one bad relationship later, his disbelief in love-at-first-sight is stripped away the day he meets Six: a girl with a strange name and an even stranger personality. Unfortunately for Daniel, finding true love doesn"t guarantee a happily ever after... it only further threatens it.
Will an unbearable secret from the past jeopardize Daniel and Six's only chance at saving each other?

I can’t stop smiling!!
Finding Cinderella was a beautifully written, deeply heart warming novella that made me laugh, cry, and fall in love. In less than 100 pages, it made me feel more than I have in many entire books. Daniel and Six captured my heart and I hope that one day we get more of their story because I’m not ready to let go yet!
I was originally going to talk about the plot here but honestly, I think it’ll be more fun to just discover it for yourselves. Suffice it to say that I absolutely adored every word of story – it was fun, quirky and unique.
In case you don’t remember, Daniel and Six were Holder and Sky’s best friends from Hopeless and Losing Hope and while this novella reads as a standalone, it would have greater meaning if you read both those books first. Also, fans of Holder and Sky will be happy to know that they have several scenes in this and it was a real treat to see them from the outside through someone else’s eyes.
The character dynamics are just gold, the writing is witty and, true to Colleen Hoover’s style, you are made to care deeply about every part of these characters’ lives. I have quotes highlighted on each page and while the majority of the story kept me laughing out loud, swooning and chuckling to myself, there were also strong emotional reveals that had me in tears and brought a really wonderful depth to it all.
It was short enough to read in one sitting but long enough to never feel rushed and give you that feeling of reading a ‘complete’ story. I finished it with a huge smile on my face and the happiest feeling in my heart.
Truly, the perfect novella ♥
5 stars! It feels sort of euphoric, like we’re in some sort of fairy tale. Like she’s Tinkerbell and I’m Peter Pan.
No, wait. I don’t want to be Peter Pan.
Maybe she can be like Cinderella and I’ll be her Prince Charming.
Quotes in this review are still subject to change before publication. A huge thank you to Colleen Hoover for sending me an early review copy!!

5 Cinderella Stars!!!
Colleen Hoover has done it again. I swear, this woman could not write a bad story if she tried. Finding Cinderella, as short as it was, is a new favorite of mine.
We meet Daniel (Holder’s best friend) and Six (Sky’s best friend) in Hopeless. Six and Daniel meet in a closet, although it’s dark and they don’t know one another, they connect.
It feels sort of euphoric, like we’re in some sort of fairy tale. Like she’s Tinkerbell and I’m Peter Pan.
The time they spend together is over too soon. Daniel spends weeks looking for his Cinderella. Six goes off to Italy. They meet again about a year later, and hit it off. Neither one of them know that the person they are spending so much time with is the same person from the closet. The more time the two spend together, the more they start to feel for one another.
No, wait. I don’t want to be Peter Pan.
Maybe she can be like Cinderella and I’ll be her Prince Charming.
I really fell for Daniel in Losing Hope. I was so excited to hear he was getting his own novella, with Six nonetheless. Daniel is the most lovable and hilarious character. One of the best parts about this novella is it’s from his point of view. I loved Daniel and Holder together... I know thats a random thing to say, but their little banters had me smiling so wide!
“Daniel?”
“Holder?”
“What are you up to?”
“I do not know what you are talking about.”
“You do know what I am talking about because when you are lying, you do not use contractions when you speak.”
“For real,” I say. “You’re my best friend and I love you. I’m not ashamed to admit that I love a guy. I love you, Holder. Daniel Wesley loves Dean Holder. Always and forever.”
“Daniel, go make out with your girlfriend.”
“Not until you tell me you love me, too.”
“I fucking love you, now GO AWAY.”
I grin “I love you more.”
This story was as close to perfection as they come. It was beautiful, heart warming, funny, and kept a smile on my face. Colleen Hoover’s writing is magical. It’s flawless. The only negative I have is the length- I wanted a whole Daniel book! I also want to say, I think it is AMAZING that this author gave her fans this novella for free. I would have gladly paid for it. Fan’s of Ms. Hoover’s works should pick this up. If you haven’t read Hopeless or Losing Hope, I would highly recommend reading them.

WHAT I THOUGHT I WAS GETTING
WHAT I ACTUALLY GOT
Despite the fact I don't normally read YA/NA, I wanted to try this novella since all my friends love it, I've not read Colleen Hoover and I have two teenage nieces to whom I was hoping to recommend this book and author.
This author does have a lovely writing style. But my problems with this started in the prologue and I simply couldn't get past them, even though there were parts of this I enjoyed.
When the title and blurb uses the words Cinderella and fairytales to describe this book....and the main characters are 17/18 years of age....and the author’s profile states she writes young adult, I’m expecting something along these lines....
....you know, a slowly-building story of sweet, first love that the protagonists find as teenagers and that lasts a lifetime.
When the blurb says...a chance encounter in the dark.... this is what I'm expecting....
Instead....
These kids' sex education must have come straight from Chef.
Six hated everybody, though I'm not quite sure why....
Since I've not read many YA's, the heroines' names may be par-for-the-course for this genre. We find out that Six is just the nickname for the heroine. Okay. But her real name is....
Towards the end there was a big twist/secret/bombshell that almost got the big brush-off.
Something this big and important should have been given a bit more time.
I know this is fiction, I know it's for young adults and I know there was nothing explicit, but this just didn't work for me. Guess I can cross Colleen Hoover off my Christmas list for the nieces this year. This one's going on my everyone-loves-but-Jill shelf.
Now for something completely different, read my lovely friend, Jen's 5-star
review.
Steam: 1.5
* Thanks for the recommendation, Jen! -
5 MOTHERF**KING ANGEL STARS!!
"Maybe she can be like Cinderella and I'll be her Prince Charming." ~Daniel"Once upon a time, there was a tiny maintenance closet; crowded, abandoned, a place to sleep or skip class. Here, in this small closet, Prince Charming met Cinderella.
Although originally all Prince Charming wanted was a place to avoid class or a place to take a quick nap, he encounters a woman who happens upon the closet he's in. They form an immediate connection, and fearing that once they turn the lights on they'll lose this perfect encounter, they decide to leave the lights off and pretend to be in love until the hour is up. That way they can have this perfect memory of one time in their lives where they at least pretended to love somebody.
When the clock strikes an hour, and their time is up, Cinderella flees. Never to be seen by Prince Charming again..."
I don't think there is a single thing about this story that I didn't love. Even though it was only a novella, it was sweet, sexy, romantic, surprising, heart-wrenching, and breathtaking all at the same time. I couldn't put this book down, and found myself having to carry my Kindle around the grocery store so that I could continue to read. I loved all the characters so much, they could make me cry in one instant and then the very next second I would literally be laughing out loud. Colleen Hoover is one of the most talented authors I have ever had the honor of reading. Finding Cinderella is by far the best novella I have ever read!
Finding Cinderella is the story of a girl named Six"We all have deal breakers, Daniel. Some of us just hope we can keep them hidden forever." ~Six
She's the girl whose name isn't even Six, but she changed it because she was mad at her parents when she was 14 and has refused to be called anything else.
She's the girl who doesn't carry purses, for all she needs is the keys in her pocket.
She's the girl who likes the wind in her hair, fist bumps, and the merry go round.
She's also unfortunately the girl with a reputation for being a slut who's slept with way too many guys, and yet has never even held a guys hand before or gone on a date. that's her sad truth..."I love how much you love me." ~Six
Then Cinderella meets Prince Charming, I mean Daniel"Because we show up, Six. It's what we do. It's me and you, babe." ~Daniel
Daniel is best friends with Holder and when spending time with Holder and Holder's girlfriend Sky, he meets Six. We were introduced to Holder and Sky in the previous installment Hopeless. I'm glad we got glimpses of Holder and Sky again. I had missed them. They were handled perfectly in Finding Cinderella. We find out a bit more of what happens with them, yet they don't overpower the story. When Daniel and Sky meet, Sky has a spoon in her mouth eating ice cream, and it's literally spoon at first sight. It's intense, fast paced, and is making both of them have doubts wondering if things are just too good to be true."It feels like her air just became my air and I suddenly want to take in fewer breaths in order to ensure she never runs out." ~Daniel
I loved reading them fall in love. They had such an intense connection from the beginning and it was a true joy to read. There is even some surprises along the way that will completely shock you. I'm going to avoid saying too much on that subject for I don't want to spoil anything for anyone. JUST GO PICK THIS UP RIGHT NOW IT'S FREE!!!"That's exactly what this feels like. Like she's a drug I've become immediately addicted to but I have none in supply."
"She wants this to work with me as much as I want it to work with her and seeing the look in her eyes right now makes me believe that it will. I've never believed in anything like I believe in us." ~Daniel
I will always wish for more where Colleen Hoover is concerned. I would be lying if I said that I felt this was enough of Daniel and Six. I don't. I feel like their story should continue. I feel like they have infinite possibilities, but if Colleen Hoover does end their story here, and we never hear any more from Daniel and Six, I know in my heart that they'll get their HEA one day.
-
Ugh I love Daniel.
The nicknames he comes up with are the bomb.com!
The plot twist fit very well into the storyline and I really liked it.
Also Daniel’s parents are very funny. Love em. -
5 Heartwarming Stars!!
Daniel (Holder’s best-friend, in the doubtfully case you’ve forgotten.) found a girl in a maintenance closet a year ago. They never saw each other’s faces, they never found out their names, but they fell in love inside a closet.
Until one day she suddenly stops appearing in the closed and leaving him broken to never heard from her again until now, one year after.
The girl is no one else but Six, who went to Italy through a student-change program (Yeah, you also remember her. Sky’s best-friend.) And when a year after they meet again they fall in love again… without having the slightest idea that they already fell in love once.
But a year changes a lot of things and maybe the people who fell in love inside a dark closet, are not the same ones who fell in love in the open air.
When I first read Losing Hope I remember thinking that I would love to read a book about Daniel’s story because he was pretty much awesome. He did not disappoint, far from it.
I also remember thinking that Six was pretty cool and a great friend. She did not disappoint as well.
Their story was extremely sweet and made me feel warm and giddy. Loved every single second of it. (Especially their sense of humor. I laughed real hard with those two!)
If you read the previous books (Sky and Dean’s story) you will LOVE this novella. If you haven’t… what the hell are you waiting for??! -
SIX stars!!!!
I heart Colleen Hoover. Hard. I think the only thing that might make me love her more is if she wrote a book with sex in it. She can write a book boyfriend, a male lead, a hero like none other!!!! And Daniel was no exception!!
I LOVED Daniel.
I LOVED Six.
I LOVED how they met.
I LOVED how they fell in love.
I LOVED their banter.
I LOVED Daniel's family--SO funny.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED every.single.thing about this book!
Group hug! -
Thank you Colleen Hoover for gifting this book to the reading world! I wish I had your flare with words to perfectly express how much I truly adore your books. Each one of your characters holds a special place in my heart. Now, Daniel and Six have a spot as well. Thank you!
Finding Cinderella is told completely in Daniel Wesley’s pov. Daniel is Dean Holder’s funny, loyal, and lovable best friend. While hiding out in the maintenance closet during the 5th period, Daniel meets his Cinderella. They share something truly special even though they never see each other or exchange names.
”I wish it could be real,” I whispered. I put my hand on the doorknob and open it, then turn my head when she slips out the door.”
I experienced so many emotions while reading this story. I have to say that the banter was brilliantly done. Daniel’s parents were hilarious! Daniel and Holder’s bromance was absolutely adorable!
As far as love stories go, this one was completely swoon-worthy.
It’s simply 94 pages of WONDERFUL!!! -
Screw it, this book made me smile the entire time so it gets 5 stars!
“I don't even know if people should use the working fucking and angel in the same thought structure, but shit. She really looks like a fucking angel..”
There's something about Colleen Hoover novellas, I tend to love them more than her full length novels. Which is so rare because most of the time novellas don't have enough. But this book in its entirety and shortness made me fall in love with it.
Finding Cinderella is about Holder's best friend Daniel. After a chance encounter in a closet in school, Daniel met and lost his dream girl without ever seeing her face. A year later, and a failed drama filled relationship later, Daniel is introduced to Sky's friend Six who has returned from Italy after a year abroad. The two have an instant chemistry and begin dating, but both have secrets than can be deal breakers for the other.
“I can't take you tonight. I had my heart completely broken about an hour ago by a psychotic bitch and I need a little more time to recover from that relationship. How about tomorrow night?”
I'm glad I read this right after reading Losing Hope, that book is definitely meant to be read before reading this one. Yes this book is a standalone, but you gain a lot more by reading the other two books first. I loved reading Six and Daniel's book, I had a gigantic smile on my face the entire time. I loved both characters and their unconventional romance.
Leave it to Colleen Hoover to write a funny book and one packed with all the feels at the same time. I found myself rooting for this couple from the very beginning and would love to see more of them in the future. If you need something light and something that will make you happy, this is the book for you.
“It blows my mind that I get to love you.”
-
“I’ve never believed in anything like I believe in the possibility of the two of us.”
Oh my God, can this woman write a bad book just for kicks? No, this is not just a novella, it is not just a little add-on story to an already stellar series, and this is definitely not a re-hash of anything we’ve already seen in Hopeless or Losing Hope – this is the story that fills all the little gaps we never even knew needed filling and it is the story that makes us fall in love with the two secondary characters as much as we loved Holder and Sky. It is also a testament to the fact that Colleen Hoover doesn’t need 400 pages to make you feel with every crevice of your heart and that when it comes to telling a story through witty but emotionally-charged dialogues or creating loveable, engaging characters, she is unrivalled. I knew this story would be great but I never even imagined a novella could be this spectacular.“I don’t even know your phone number,” I say.
“I don’t even know your birthday,” she says.
“You’re the worst girlfriend I’ve ever had.”
We met Daniel and Six in previous instalments of the series as Holder and Sky’s best friends, two outspoken, sarcastic, but fiercely loyal individuals who supported their best friends through thick and thin, and now we get to see them in the limelight. By knowing all the other characters and the main storyline in such detail, no time is wasted on introductions or setups of scenes – we get to immediately zoom into their story and enjoy the ride.“How do you make love to someone you aren’t in love with?”
I lean forward until my mouth is next to her ear. “We pretend.”
I refuse to spoil any of their story for you, however, not because of its length, but because I knew very little going in and I am grateful for that as not knowing what to expect was half the fun in this case. I will only tell you that their tale starts with one fated encounter that forever changes who they are and what they hope to find in life. The rest of their story is a delightful account of a boy and a girl falling head over heels for one another, and learning what love is through that experience. Their captivating personalities and the amusing dialogues between them drive the story forward and keep us engrossed page after page.“Are you a witch? … I have no idea who you even are and now you’re my damn girlfriend. What the hell have you done to me?”
This is a book that had me laughing out loud, constantly catching myself smiling like a fool, and even had me shed a few heart-clenching tears at times. My emotions were all over the place because every word meant something, every scene counted, and every sentence struck the right chord. If you’ve loved Hopeless and Losing Hope as desperately as I have, I have no doubt that you will adore Six and Daniel’s beautiful story. They say you can’t improve on perfection – I guess Ms Hoover just did.
While this story could be read as a standalone novella, I personally would not recommend doing so without first reading the other two books in the series as it follows a parallel timeline and some knowledge of events and other characters would enhance the overall reading experience.“Stop! Stop saying things that make me grin like an idiot. My face has been hurting since the second I met you.”

5 BEAUTIFUL STARS
Omg what a cute story!!!I loved the epilogue, it was the best epilogue I have ever read!!I cannot stop smiling!!I'm not a big fan of books with cute guys but this book was so amazing.I couldn't put it down!!Colleen managed to brought out so many emotions in less than 100 pages!!
Daniel and Six fall in love in less than 24 hours but this wasn't a problem for me, because it didn't seem rush at all. It was perfect and together they were adorable. The whole time I was laughing!!
I think I'm in love *sigh* Daniel is funny, adorable, sweet and cute!!He doesn't hesitate! He says whatever going through his mind!!And this is what I loved about him!!!I also liked his family and especially his father lol !!He was hilarious!!
I wish there was more to read!!! The story was funny, adorable and sweet!! -
What a cute fun short sweet story this was. Colleen Hoover manages to shove everything we love about Colleen Hoover books into about 90 pages. We got super sticky icky love. We got our hilariously bantering couple. We got our omg wtf plot twist. And we got it all wrapped up in a nice little bow of an ending.
My only problem is I want more!!! I want to know what happens to them next! Where do their lives go from here??!!! If this is my only problem with a good then I figure it's a good one to have.
I hope that one day Colleen returns to this series and writes a full book with six and Daniel. Because goddamn it it would be so ridiculously cute. -
"I used to hate everybody ... Until I met you."
Finding Cinderella is insanely cute. Daniel and Six are such fun and hilarious characters. I'm surprised I enjoyed this so much considering it's only a novella.
Sorry Will, sorry Holder, I have a new favorite. DANIEL. -
“Maybe she can be like Cinderella and I’ll be her Prince Charming.”
Let's face it. I knew this was going to be amazing. It's practically Colleen Hoover's trademark to work magic with literature and Finding Cinderella was no exception.
But I didn't know that it was going to be this amazing. I didn't know it was going to be the type of amazing that would just blow me away without failure. And all in a hundred pages. That's the thing. All in a hundred-and-five pages. That's short. And to make me fall in love with Daniel and Six that quickly? That's nothing short of miraculous.

Even though it's a short story, the ending was bit too rushed. And unfortunately, the whole story wasn't that believable. At least not to me. I didn't like Six in Hopeless, so I didn't expect to like her here either. She's, however, an okay character. I liked Daniel a bit better but he's not a perfect character in any way. And, of course, Colleen had to go and stab my heart at the very end. But I liked the plot twist and that's mostly why I'm giving this book more than 2 stars. -
Unrealistic plot and very cheesy characters.
-
A modern day Cinderella story but instead of a ballroom where Prince Charming meets Cinderella it is a high school maintenance closet.
Daniel is Prince Charming and Six is Cinderella. These two were supporting characters from
Hopeless. Finding Cinderella is from Daniel's POV. If you haven't read Hopeless it's okay because Finding Cinderella can be read as standalone.
Christmas has arrived early and Ms. Hoover gifted everyone this novella.Thank you, Ms. Hoover, for the amazing gift. Your story telling skills never ceases to amaze me.

5 Adorable Stars
Honestly, I don't think I was in the best frame of mind in reading this, so my review may be a little off base. Yes, I'm a major Colleen Hoover fan, yes I've read all of her books, but I guess when it comes down to it, I'm just not a fan of novellas.
This is Daniel and Six's story. Daniel is Holder's best friend and Six is Sky's best friend. Daniel and Six meet in a closet and forge an instant connection, brief, but strong. One year later, both meet up again, but not knowing who each other really are.
I love the beginning, I thought it was very cute (yes a bit cheesy at times), but that's the stuff we love right? Colleen really has a way with words and for obvious reasons that is why she is so loved.I don't even really want to make out with you because I like talking to you too much
Put your hands on my face and push me against this wall and slip me some tongue! Now!
I LOVED the banter between Daniel and Six. I did laugh out loud at a lot of parts and yes I thought to myself, damn Colleen can write some whitty shit. It amazes me.
I have a personal problem, so when ever it resurfaces in books, it makes me cringe. So, yes I did cringe and I kind was like, oh boy it went there. I think it would have been easier on me if it wasn't a novella and I got more character development or I was more wrapped in the story, but I can't fault anyone for that, b/c it's novella. We all have deal-breakers, Daniel. Some of us just hope we can keep them hidden forever
So, yes, Finding Cinderella is an adorable read, it's a Colleen read and YAY for releasing it as FREE we fans love you for it.
And like many readers, I'm gonna say this... GIVE ME MORE!

I laugh and clutch at my heart. "Dammit, Six. I love every single word that comes out of your mouth."
"Cock," she says dryly. She's evil.
"Except that word," I say. "I don't love cock."
Can someone find a way for me to rate this higher than 5 stars? 'Cause yeah, that's what needs to happen right about now. This little novella (little novella, people!) managed to wring more emotion out of me than most full length books.
Six and Daniel are delightful together. The fact that I used the word "delightful" in a review should tell you just how much I loved this story! There's no other word for it, though. Every conversation, even the eventual angsty ones, were so natural and entertaining in a way that made me actually want to meet these characters. I'll admit to feeling a little creepy about having book crushes on both Daniel and Six but I've moved on from that. Now I'm just thinking about the fact that I'm jealous of all the folks that get to read this one for the first time.
Well done in a big way, Colleen Hoover. Well Done! -

You might be asking yourself, “why would a shriveled up old hag like her be reading Finding Cinderella????” The answer is quite simple:
Any author who has a memento copy of one of their books printed in “Ermahgerd” is someone who deserves to be read. Also, Finding Cinderella was free, so it was the obvious winner of the “which one should I read?” contest.
That being said, NA is soooooo not my bag. I am old and have a very low threshold when it comes to tolerating angst and I get a bit bitey when I read it . . . . but I totally understand the allure. If I were a young puppy again I would seriously love to be able to download freebies like this on the Kindle rather than being forced to steal my mom’s old Jackie Collins’ paperbacks in order to read something steamy. Now those things were horrible. *shudder*
I’m assuming if you are a fan of NA, Finding Cinderella is one that could receive a much higher rating along with a rave review, but please note a 3 Star rating from me is pretty dang solid. Even though I saw the big “a-ha” moment WAY before it ever came to light, it was still pretty much alright with me. Colleen Hoover writes a decent story with relatable characters who have great wit about them. I didn't have high expectations going in and was pleasantly surprised by how much I actually enjoyed myself. And while I assumed the main characters would have to experience "instalove" (if for no other reason than the fact that this was a novella), what I didn't expect was that I would end up kind of loving Daniel:
“She fist bumped me. It’s not my fault. She hates purses and she fist bumped me, then she made me push her on the damn merry-go-round. After that, she demanded to see where I had sex in the park, then she forced me to sneak into my own bedroom. She’s weird and half the time I can’t keep up with her, but she thinks I’m funny as hell. And Chunk asked me this morning if I wanted to love her someday, and I realized I’ve never hoped I could love someone more than I want to love her.”
(a leading male who isn’t a super-assholey-bad-boy??? who’d a thunk it????)
Yeah, yeah, I know: “Why don’t you have a seat over there” and all that jazz. I already registered myself on the sexual predator list, thank you very much Chris Hansen.

First of all Colleen, I love you. You're my all time favorite author. I love your sense of humor and I really love when you describe feelings. So thank you very much my Queen. :) I really loved and also lived this book. And people, believe me this book should be at least 1000 pages. I just can't get enough of it. :) I laughed too much but in the end I cried. I cried like a baby. Colleen, you always did this to me. If you read Hopeless and Losing Hope books, you must read this book immediately. It was phenomenal and trust me, you'll be in love Daniel too as much as Holder. (^_^)
My God, I wanna write you whole book people but I shouldn't have to give you spoilers. So, go read it asap... You won't regret it. :) -
My Thoughts:
✮ First off, I'd really like to recommend that you read at least the first book in the series before you read this one. It's not necessary but I think you will have more of a feel of the story and what it's about.
✮ That being said...from reading the other books, I always felt like Daniel was a bit strange so I was pleasantly surprised!
✮ And I'm really glad we got more of Six. I feel like we got cheated out of her in the first book.
✮ I would definitely classify this as more NA than YA. That closet scene was a bit intense. Heck, even their kisses are intense!
✮ Love Daniel with his nicknames and how it's finally explained!
✮ I enjoyed their sarcasm, teasing and being honest with each other.
✮ Of course, there was not enough Holder but I liked how he forbade Daniel to date Six.
✮ And Daniel's family with their reverse psychology!
✮ Bombshell...I was not expecting that!
✮ Please tell me there will be another book!!
Favorite quotes:
❀ “Don’t open your eyes,” I whisper, still staring at her. “Give me ten more seconds to stare, because you look absolutely beautiful right now.”
❀ “I don’t even know your phone number,” I say.
“I don’t even know your birthday,” she says.
“You’re the worst girlfriend I’ve ever had.”
❀ “For real,” I say. “You’re my best friend and I love you. I’m not ashamed to admit that I love a guy. I love you, Holder. Daniel Wesley loves Dean Holder. Always and forever.”
❀ "Daniel Wesley, where'd you learn those smooth moves?"
I laugh. "Not moves, Six. Charisma.” -
ALL GOOD THINGS.

I decided to read this book to see if I would like the series, I quickly became hooked and then it was finished, quick easy read to get out of a book sump loved it.

5 STARS, but really there aren't enough Stars to rate this book!!!!!
Finding Cinderella was absolutely, positively, pure PERFECTION!!!
THANK YOU Colleen Hoover, for writing such an AMAZING story, AND for making it FREE!!
That just shows just how incredible you truly are!
This book was so flippin good!!!!!
This is the story of Daniel and Six, best friends to Holder and Sky, of course these two have to be amazing, to be their best friends!
I just LOVE Colleen Hoover's writing style.
I found myself highlighting way too many excerpts from this book.
Daniel is just as amazing as ever, and so incredibly hysterical.
"Nothing. They forgot to assign me a class, so I hide out in this maintenance closet every day for an hour." - Daniel
He has quite an encounter with a mystery girl who stumbles into that closet he's been hiding out in.
A year later, Six is back from her study abroad program in Italy and she's starting school with the rest of the gang.
She and Daniel have an instant attraction to each other.
They try to keep their budding romance a secret.
Holy shit, she's cute. Her hair is lighter than I thought it was last night in Sky's room. Her skin is flawless. It's like she's the same girl from last night, only now she's in HD. And I was right. She really does look like a fucking angel. - Daniel
Six is not the same girl she was before she went away a year ago.
She's turned a new leaf and there is something that haunts her.
I loved how these two connected and let me just say that Daniel is just as swoon worthy as Holder!!
Whatever this is between us, neither one of us was searching for it. Neither one of us knew it even existed. Neither one of us is even remotely prepared for it, but I know we both want it. She wants this to work with me as much as I want it to work with her and seeing the look in her eyes right now makes me believe that it will. I've never believed in anything like I believe in the possibility of the two of us. - Daniel
It was great to get more of Holder, Sky, and Breckin again.
Daniel's family is pretty amazing as well. They definitely brought a lot of humor to this story!!
There is a big reveal towards the end, that I DID NOT see coming and it is heart breaking.
Everyone should read this novella!!
If you're a fan of Colleen Hoover and you loved "Hopeless" and "Losing Hope", you definitely will LOVE this story!!
And here's one more excerpt from the book that solidified a place on my Top Book Boyfriends list for Daniel.
Her eyes focus on mine and she takes both my hands, then laces her fingers through them. We stare at each other like we've done so many times before, but this time I feel it in every single part of me. I feel her in every part of me and the feeling is new and heavy and intense and I realize in this moment that we just became so much more together than we could ever possibly be alone. - Daniel -
Fun, quick book. I laughed out loud a few times with this one.

"In reality, people are who they are and they'll never really change."
Wow, that was bad. Like really bad. -
We absolutely LOVED this book! We were going to do a traditional read and review for this one but decided against it. As this book was written and provided free to her readers as a "thank you" for their continued support,we wanted to give our followers who wouldn't normally write a review the opportunity to share their thoughts on Finding Cinderella and that post can be found on our blog here:
http://totallybookedblog.com/2013/10/...
We did want to share this thought. We recently asked Colleen Hoover why she wrote Finding Cinderella and why, instead of publishing it, did she decide to offer it to her readers for free and this was her response.
COLLEEN:
Two reasons, really. The first is that it absolutely pains me to see comments from readers expressing that they’re looking forward to a book, but have to wait until payday. Or their birthday. Or Christmas. Eight dollars may not seem like much to some, but to others who are living on a budget, it’s hard to come by. I used to be one of those people who could only download the free books because eight dollars could buy my kids school lunches for a week. The second reason ties in to the first. My whole life has changed over the past two years and it’s hard not to feel a little undeserving for something so amazing. Sometimes I look around at all the great things that have happened and think, “What in the hell did I do to deserve this?” It’s hard to show gratitude through words when you’re as grateful as I am. I wanted my readers to know exactly how much they are appreciated and since it’s my stories they love, what better way to thank them than by giving them what they love for free. I just hope they like it! -
Although Finding Cinderella can be read as a standalone, everyone should read Hopeless and Losing Hope. Not because it’s required to fully understand this novella, but because Colleen Hoover created an exceptional story and everyone should experience it.
For those of us who have already read Losing Hope, we know about Daniel’s maintenance room experience. We all knew instantly that his girl was Six. But now we get to see it unfold. We get a chance to experience that day when their world changed, even if they didn't realize it until a year later.
I seriously tried hard to pull specific quotes out of this for the sole purpose of this review, and looking back now at them I realized that entire sections and pages are adorned in yellow. Every single word of this story was loved.
I had not known what to expect from Daniel since we only really got to know him through Holder’s eyes. He was sarcastic and a bit immature, but he was loyal. And holy smokes did he completely make me swoon.
Although Daniel and Six easily fit at the start of this story as two strangers who are free to discuss their fears in the cloak of darkness, but where this story gave me butterflies was as Daniel falls for Six a year later before he realizes that she was that girl.
His moments with Six were down right perfection. CoHo creates the perfect book boyfriends every damn time. The way he was able to go from fun to tender had my knees weak and seriously fighting stabs of jealousy over a fictional character.
Is it wrong that I thought ‘Michelle” every time he said Six?
I absolutely loved this novella and I love that Colleen was so gracious to give us all a little more of these four characters that completely own a piece of my heart. The Hopeless Series is one of those stories that I will never forget. -
It literally hurts me to give a bad rating, so bear with me 😅
I’m a huge fan of Colleen Hoover, but this one was just very disappointing. The whole story was not believable and completely unrealistic, the ending felt very rushed, and I was genuinely bored for the first half. In addition, it was uncomfortably cheesy (and don’t get me wrong - I LOVE cheesy... but this was just a no), the characters were annoying, the ending was anticlimactic, and it’s safe to say that this was just not my cup of tea.
Maybe if I was still in high school I would like it better? Who knows...
