Chaos breaks loose when high school senior Ellie Parker sets out to bring her relatives together for a Griswold-style “fun, old-fashioned family Christmas”—dysfunction and all. When her attempts “go viral,” can the spirit of the holidays help the Parker family (and the millions watching them) overcome their differences and remember to love one another?

Written by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Julie Cantrell, this novella was created to celebrate the importance of family, traditions, and forgiveness.

A Fun, Old-Fashioned Family Christmas Reviews

This was a good story. There was some parts I wasn’t a fan. I didn’t like the modern feel of TikTok etc. But the story itself was beautiful.

This was a good read, but there were aspects that bugged me. The MC posted pictures and videos that involved her family on her social media without their permission and sometimes knowledge. When those relatives would express their concerns, the MC would brush it off which bothered me. There were so many drama plots that it was hard to keep track off each plot. The ending was sweet, but overall, this was not what I expected.

A happy story for the holidays

Just the thing for a pick-me-up! Ellie just wants her family to be happy for Christmas but it is a typically messy, somewhat fractured family. But love pulls them together, or at least most of them. A light read with a moral and holiday cheer.
