The American Kitchen 1700 to the Present: From Hearth to Highrise Reviews

I loved this book. It was entertaining even though it was a book of history that covered social, political, interior design, commercial, and personal ideas. I liked it at least as much as Perfection Salad, which covers the home economics movement. The recipes and helpful home making tips are fun to read, also.
It took a while for me to finish this book only because I traveled to MI, bought a house, moved, and went though the first trimester of my second pregnancy over the period of reading. I actually got 80% through it in October, gave it back to the library, and didn't get it out again until April, when I finished it a two days.
