Conjugal Obligation ( An Erotic Pride and Prejudice Continuation [2] )
Darcy and Elizabeth are on their way to Pemberley. On the road they come upon a carriage stalled in the road. Darcy tells Elizabeth to stay in their carriage. Darcy and the footman approach the carriage carefully. Screams are coming from the carriage along with curses and grunts. Darcy looks in to see a woman with her hands and feet tied and opens the door pulling the man out. He tells Darcy that her husband sold her to him and others to enjoy. As he complains louder, several men come from the trees and attacked. The footman is killed, but Darcy kills the others. Hearing Elizabeth scream, he rushes to her side finding Wickham holding her roughly, tormenting Darcy what he's going to do with Elizabeth. Throws her to the ground where the other man begins to attack Elizabeth. Darcy sees what the man is trying to do and surprising Wickham slits his throat. Yeah!!! Proceeding to the other man, runs him thorough. Elizabeth was hit hard in the face by her attackers, but didn't suffer anything else. Going back to the other carriage, Darcy tries to help the woman. Finding that Lydia was in the carriage all the dead bodies are strapped to the Four other carriage horses, and they are off to Longbourn. Mr. Bennet is upset when he sees Lydia, but gets furious when he sees Elizabeth's face. Thinking Darcy did this to Elizabeth, he is irate until Elizabeth tells her father that Wickham did this to both her and Lydia. When they leave for Pemberley, Lydia still believes that Darcy cheated her husband and makes nasty comments about Darcy. They are soon on their way to Pemberley, to continue the conjugal obligations they dearly love. Quick read. Sexy scenes- if not your cup of tea, don't read. -
I'm marking this as a spoiler due to possible triggers.
This story just wasn't erotic to me at all. I found it a disturbing and uncomfortable read.
There is a gang rape scene - rather graphically described, in my opinion - that is treated as a rather light plot point and later brushed under the rug. This scene is followed by a sex scene between Elizabeth and Darcy. I found this to be in extremely poor taste because the woman who was raped is in the next room and can hear them having sex. This woman's trauma is not treated with any form of respect or caring. I felt it wasn't necessary to the plot and that it was handled too lightly by the author.
I was also bothered by a later scene where Elizabeth has sex with Darcy while he is sleeping. I'm all for open and enthusiastic consent and this scene read as non-con to me. If a person is asleep, they are not giving consent, even if it's the man, even if they are married.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. -
Another good read...
Just isn't long enough. I don't like it when the author breaks up the story to sell the book as a series. It cheapens the whole thing. -
Unclear why this story exists

I recently wrote a review for the first book written by Ayr Bray and I just wanted to write a review for this one as well. It is very well written and what I liked was that even though it is erotica Darcy still shows respect to Elizabeth. What I mean by that is so much of the time writers will make the Hero talk to the Heroin like they own them or just that they are just a sex toy. This wasn't the case and I found that to be nice because you can have the best of both. I really felt bad about Lydia's fate but after her attitude the next day was disappointed. The book packed quite a punch for it's length and it was because of the length that I only gave it three stars.

Oh dear. The first book was okay but this book a squicked me too much.
Just a warning - it may trigger some people as there is some dubious consent issues and also a horrific gang rape scene which were both not treated with any sense of thought.
Again, a mixed bag of characterisation here and some anachronistic speech but the my main issues were as mentioned above.
