Clint Williams
Born Feb. 16, 1852
Died March 23, 1877

Those are the words that mark his grave, and Clint knows that although he stands reading his own epitaph, they are true. Ever since the attack that killed his entire family, he's been dead inside. Only one thing keeps him going--the burning need to bring in the outlaws who savaged his family.

The Last Chance Saloon
Posing undercover to infiltrate the gang, Clint can let no one know his true identity or the fact that he'd once been a Texas Ranger. Not even the pretty daughter of a preacher man who bursts into the saloon, calling upon the gamblers to repent. As far as she knows, he's a gunslinger with a bad reputation who has no right to touch a good woman. But sometimes a man's got to break all the rules, ignore common sense, and get downright...DEFIANT.

Would be a 5 star book except for numerous editing errors such as extra words and misspelled word. Fox those and would be a 5star rating.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and didn’t want it to end. Clint’s character was pretty well developed, Rachel’s was ok. Good sex scenes without going overboard. Some action. Mystery as to who was the head of the Tucker gang. I didn’t want to put it down. Bobbi Smith is an author that’s new to me. I’m finding I’m liking her so far. I really enjoy the American West genre. It’s hard to find books in this genre that are good but not clean/sweet. I myself like a good sex scene and passion and my romances that I read so was glad I found this author. Will continue to read more books by her. I also recommend this book.

    Another great American western

Good suspense and a little twist to this who is it! I could have done with a little less sexual explanation, which is the reason for the 4 rating. My skipping that part because I have enough imagination and that is the reason for only reading Christian writing.

I've been a fan of Bobbi Smith since I began reading western historical romance back in the 80's. I've read most of her books, and re-reading them again. She is one my go to authors, that I know I'll enjoy any book she writes. This book doesn't disappoint, it is full of adventure, surprises, a hot Texas Ranger and of course sweet romance. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Good easy read. Good story line that keeps you glued to the book. I'm a slow reader and read it in two days! I liked the way the author described the characters. It felt like they were people you'd like to meet. A mix of cowboy and romance. I enjoyed it.

    Sweet, simple, western romance

This is a sweet, yet simple, western romance. As predicted, good guys win without difficulty, guy gets girl, happily ever after. I was quite frustrated with phrases bring repeated ad nauseam, such as 'preacher's daughter.'

  • Dudley Stadler

This was a definite page turner. It reminded me of the Lone Ranger but with a love interest. A Ranger feigned death to get revenge and falls in love with a preacher’s daughter. My biggest problem with the book was it was a little too stereotypical.

    Seeing justice done

Well written.About tragic event's that happen.Heartache and .Bringing outlaw to justice .Love and happiness.About a family trying to get souls saved.Different from her other books.A good western of you like westerners.
