History has no mercy. “Don’t forget the old ways, Carlin. Teach them to your own daughter, when she comes. I’ve seen her, and she’s strong—maybe strong enough to save us all.” Reunited after almost two decades, Gretchel Bloome and Eli Stewart are just learning to be together again when secrets from their past—secrets they’ve kept from each other and secrets others have kept from them—threaten to destroy their fragile happiness. Even as Eli’s relationship with Gretchel is tested, his bond with Gretchel’s daughter grows deeper. Then the malign spirit that has haunted the women in Gretchel’s family for centuries begins to stalk Ame, and Eli discovers the key to the mysterious prophecy his mother has been obsessively researching for more than forty years… After a series of stunning revelations from Miss Poni, the family matriarch, Gretchel, Eli, and Ame are forced to reconsider everything they think they know about themselves—and each other. Will their love survive? And will Ame be tough enough to fight the curse that has plagued her family for generations?

The Witches of Snyder Farms (The Wicked Garden, #2) Reviews

This series has me thoroughly bewitched.

I can't get over how real all these characters feel and how deeply I care about them. I get mad at them, I cry for them, I want to sit and have tea and just listen to them talk and tell stories. The story as it unfolds over multiple time periods is vast and mythic. The individual characters' stories are raw and deeply relatable. There is no sugar coating here, there are scars, secrets, and deep shame. There is also unconditional love, glowing hope, and healing. It's like a modern faerytale complete with sex, drugs, and rock n' roll.

This is the second book in the Wicked Garden series and when I say I can't put these books down, I mean it literally. I've just finished The Witches of Snyder Farms and I'm already planning to grab book 3 as soon I as possibly can!

I really liked this book. I thought it had great character development-the author gives us just enough to feel like we know the characters, but I wish I still knew more. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series; I am intrigued to find out more about this family’s story and about the curse and prophecy.

The second edition to The Wicked Garden series was more than enjoyable! Lenora has a way of adding the most interesting things in new and exciting ways. We hear more about the prophecy in this book and if you know how to read between the lines you can figure out what Carlin really meant by the two lovers. Off to read book 3!

I don't remember which friend recommended this but I love it! I grew up in that part of the US and it's great to read a fantasy set in a familiar area.

    Good continuation of the story...

I finished it and immediately bought the next one. The end is a cliffhanger! I love this series so far.
