STAiRWAY to AWESOMENESS by Tanya Masse was a pleasure to read and is going on my gift list for a couple of friends this Christmas for inspirational reading. It is such an easy read, but you learn an incredible amount about yourself as you have fun reading it.

As a guidance and personal counselor (now semi-retired), I have found that many people need some far more intense interpersonal work than is contained in this book and a positive thinking approach as Tanya expresses in her book is just not something they could use initially. But at a certain point, once some deep one-to-one somatic reflection work is done and the person is ready for a more cognitive approach, this book would be perfect to recommend as a follow-up in counseling. What I am saying is that you need to be ready to receive the message contained within it to really get the good out of it. But once a person has managed some level of self-awareness and self-acceptance, then the advise and steps in this book are important and I think at that point it is a wonderful guide for people. I have recommended it to the clients I presently see and expect to get some very positive feedback from them about it in the future.

What I like the most in Tanya's book is her sense of humor and ability to talk about how this works for her in getting through diversity. I think we could all learn from her how to view our worlds with more humor and positive energy and how to be proud of oneself for taking steps toward happiness.

I would like to disclose that I acquired this book as a "first reads" winner and do thank the author for her generosity.

An amazing book from an awesome person!!!! Tanya, aka "Comic Strip Mama" is one of my BFF's she has always been someone that I was glad to have met in my life, I have found that when I really need someone to just be there for me who has accepted me for who I am she is one of those type of friends that you have forever, no matter where life takes you or even if you don't talk all the time, she will always be there for you! She is always positive, to quote my dad who said that she is like " A Ray of Sunshine", and can always be counted on to make you laugh, I am so proud of what she has accomplished with writing this book, I enjoyed reading it, and I have used some of her steps to "Awesomeness" as it helps you to stay positive, they make sense to me, I would recommend that this is a book you should read as it will make you smile..especially at her comics :), have to say I am one of those people that follow her comics, and am always looking forward to the next one! I love reading her comics as they brighten up my day, and any day can use a little bit of laughter in it! I also think that following her steps will help you when you get hit with with the stuff that life throws at you! Even if you don't normally read self-help books I would still recommend this book as an awesome book to read, as she talks about things that you can relate to, mixed with humor!

Also life threw some pretty bad things onto this author she plugged herself out of the vicious circle and created a save environment for her whole family.
But she didn't stop there, she started her own business and came up with this enormous life guide. Not only will you learn about her whole family, but about yourself and your surroundings. After reading this book you won't have any excuses for bad things just happening, so if you don't want to change yourself, if you don't want to learn from someone who survived the worst, then don't touch this book.
However, if you feel something in your life is wrong or at least not completely right and you want it to change, fear not, this book will make change a fun thing.
Don't be fooled by the humour and chitty chatty flow of words. This lady is deep and she does not promise you an easy way! But she will reward your hard work with some great laugh out loud!
Tanya, stay strong, wonders can and do happen!

This is a nice, positive, inspiring book. I think many people would get a lot out of it. I liked it... but I think I'm already doing a lot of what the author suggests. Maybe my life is already so awesome that I don't need this book. :-)
