EMMA
I'm the good sister. The rule follower. All I want is to make a difference in the world and become a doctor.
But fate has a twisted sense of humor. In a blink I'm forced to marry a stranger, a pawn to keep the peace between families.
And that’s not even the worst news.
Now I've learned this marriage must produce an heir within six months to prevent all-out war.
GIACOMO
I'm a soldier of death, finally in control of my family's empire in Sicily's treacherous underworld. And I plan to take back everything that was stolen from us.
I have no time or patience for a young, innocent bride, especially one so kind and gentle like Emma. Staying with me will only destroy her.
I should send her away.
Except a deep, dark part of me longs to claim what is rightfully mine . . . .

[dnf’ed @ 16%]
take note that this is purely based on my personal preferences and i'm not stopping you from reading this.
i dnf'ed bc HE BANGED ANOTHER WOMAN on their wedding night and i hate it when the mmc fucks another woman after meeting the fmc so this is a no for me.
like the chapter literally opened up with this line:
“I purposely came home late.
My mood was only slightly improved by a fantastic lay tonight. Theresa had been energetic, to say the least. We fucked for a long time and no doubt I reeked of pussy.”
(i should’ve known this will be a disappointment given the title itself 💀) -
INSTANT DNF {but i skimmed through it}
he fucking cheats on emma on THEIR WEDDING NIGHT ??? WTF & calls theresa “bella” which means beautiful. Emma is a dumb pushover, idgaf if my father was in danger , i will never in my life get married to a man who openly cheats all because his grown immature ass didn’t want the marriage & on top of all of that they have to have a baby within 3 months of marriage ( she has to get pregnant within 3months)?? eww. i be damned if im being intimate with a grown ass cry baby who’s being intimate with another girl.
Some of his quotes i kid you not
1). “Like pussy? That’s because I was just eating and fucking one.” She recoiled, as if this news upset her. I sighed heavily and muted the game on my phone. “Would you rather I fucked and ate yours”
- TF ??
2). “Theresa was twenty-three, but she seemed much older, more womanly, than the girl at my side. “Good for you,” I mumbled”
- 😒 again with this girl theresa
3). “I have shit to do, Emma. Say what it is you need to say and let’s be done”
- after she said she needed time , what a dick. he got some nerve
4). “Do it, or I will call Theresa and send her out to shop for you”
- HUH?? mind you this is after he cheats & keeps throwing it on her face
5). “Theresa, gone to her and fucked this out of my system. But that was no longer an option, thanks to Silvio and Virga. Merda. Having a wife was inconvenient for so many reasons, but this had to be one of the worst”
- a immature grown ass man
!! idc if theresa stopped sleeping with him , she still let him come to her house and stay the night instead of telling his small brain ass to grow tf up and go back to his wife , he literally kicks emma out of his house and runs to theresa , pls she’s at fault also and this was AFTER he tells her he cheated on emma with her. i wouldn’t even associate with that man again
stop writing about shitty men , nobody in they right mind wants to read about a cheating ass mf when that shit happens to us on a day to day basis , we read books to escape not to raise are blood pressure -
Self note:
- Arranged marriage
- Age gap (12)
I'm unsure if I'm going to read this. I want to, but I am also nervous about the MMC's reputation. The virgin h is already bad enough; what if the MMC is a huge hoe? I don't think I could endure a virgin x hoe trope again. But I'm really curious to read this one. Ugh! 😫
UPDATE: The H slept with the OW after he married the h (off page). But according to the reviews, the MCs didn't want to be together at this point yet; probably they want nothing to do with each other. I don't know how to feel about this info, so I'm going to skip it, as this is definitely not for me. 😬 -

Update: I hated the baby-louge (epilogue), they’re the least interesting fuckin mafia couple with no chemistry. Mila you pissed me off like wtf is this?! This is not the writing I know of! 😤
Edit: the fact everyone is making a big deal and saying hero cheated- no he didn’t. They were “forced” to be married & was totally strangers from the get go, not some lovers to begin with- they didn’t have any loyalty/feelings towards each other & the heroine was cool about it when he told her he got lay. Idk what’s the big issue- only issue is how bad Mila’s writing is- fucking downgraded. This is the FIRST- my first dissatisfaction I have ever read by her & can’t over it + the cover is so pretty, but inside is fill with resentment I have for this author bc she didn’t bring her A game- should & could have done better, smh.
What’s the point of breeding if heroine not even gonna get prego; breeding was a fail- Idc what anyone says & this is my most dislike; disappointing book I have ever read by Mila - fuckin’ dishesrting af bc I have loved all her mafia series. Usually the plot, action, and characters be on point. But it wasn’t giving & nice guys finish last just like this damn book (pretty sure this is the last series) bc that’s what the hero was. Giacomo I’m sorry Mila did you wrong, bro. All brawn physical strength beating ppl up, but no brainer (with the stupid shit you said & actions)- that’s why some readers disliked you. 😭😂 -
I am sorry but when I read a romance book I expect the mmc to have eyes only for the fmc, that is why I cannot get over the fact that he slept with someone else on their wedding night (also the details were quite unnecessary). Maybe if they weren't married I would not feel this yucky but it would have been better if this scene was not included.
Twisted Emotions by Cora Reilly also had a similar situation but I got over it because the rest of the book was actually good and the characters were interesting but here that was not the case. Giacomo is boring asf and had no personality, Emma deserved so much better than him. I don't know why they got back together, they didn't suit each other at all. Honestly Frankie and her kids were the only good part of this book.
The first two books weren't great either but atleast they were sort of interesting, this one is just forgettable.

i love love love the world of kings of italy series! this is the 5th book in the series and you can read out of order BUT some parts of this lose the impact if you don’t know the full back story so just be aware.
we have emma and giacomo forced to marry because a rival mafia boss has blackmail against them both. not only do they have to marry they have to produce an heir. CUE BREEDING KINK.
emma is pre -med and she’s very analytical in her approach to everything so having her talk about his male anatomy with such bluntness actually made me giggle. i really loved these two and they were VERY different than the other couples in this series. Giacomo isn’t some unhinged mafia boss…he’s more sensitive and has suffer mental abuse as a child therefore has a more softer/caring side then the other previous MMCs.
the spice in this was so good!!! the goal is a baby so they’re actively breedings which i will never say no to. (spoiler alert: no baby is made but they had fun doing it!) oh and he’s pierced too 🤭😮💨HOWEVERRRRR - don’t tease ass play and not deliver - that saddened me hearing how giacomo got pegged in the past and enjoyed IT BUT THEN YOU DONT HAVE EMMA TRY IT??? TEARS!!! maybe a future bonus scene, pretty please mila!!!
i also loved the reunion between the sisters and the mafia men sit down. felt there was a lot of resolution. if there is another book in this series i’m very interested to see how that plays out - it could be a great set up for an interesting plot.
ps. as someone who hasn’t been able to eye ball read in months i finished this in less than 24 hours. that has happened with only one other book. so that should tell you something!!!
thank you valentine pr for the ARC! -
This series has been such a ride! When I started Mafia Mistress, I can't say I expected to love it so much. However, it really grew on me and I got really sucked into this crazy family and mafia dynamics. I've looked forward to each new release and I'm really impressed with the world Mila Finelli created.
With Mafia Virgin we have an Arranged/Forced Marriage with a twist.. neither Giacomo NOR Emma is the one doing the forcing. Their hands are tied by the ones they love and making an heir is the only way to save everyone. Or is it? Maybe working together and trusting each other could be the answer. If only they can get along enough to do it.
Of course they are going to end up completely obsessed with one another and that's the fun of it. It just might take some work to get there. Emma was so smart and curious. She seems to be the most level headed woman in her family. Giacomo was so commanding and thought he was in charge of everything. They both riled each other up so much.
If you have loved the series thus far, you'll have a good time with this one too. It is easily consumable and full of spicy and k!nky times. There were even some emotional and moving family moments as well. I just wish we had a bit more time for their relationship to breathe. The love came a bit too quickly for me. I wasn't sure I believed it like I wanted to.
Overall, this was a decent end to the series, as it appears to be. But I hope Mila Finelli brings us more mafia goodness very soon.

This author really knows how to write a mafia book! I love this characters and this story!
It’s worth the reading -
I'm all about the vibes and the vibes in this one are unhinged and over the top. In other words, it's another wild ride.
Emma is the youngest Mancini sister, she is studious, quiet and dreams of being a doctor someday. Unfortunately she was born into the Mafia which means you're nothing but a pawn for whenever an old mafioso dude feels like playing a matchmaker. The mafioso dude happens to be a shot caller and our fair Emma is promptly shipped off to marry a man she has never met, produce and heir and bring peace to all the land.
The man in question is a big burly bruiser, a tatted ex MMA fighter *fans self* He's grumpy, monosyllabic and punches walls to release tension 😆 In short, this man is plucked directly from my smutty little brain box and it is a beautiful thing. Giacomo doesn't like being told what to do but he has no choice than to accept this marriage. And that's how we get to a delicious scrumptious game of: "I Want to Bang You Into Next Week But I Can't Because I May Be Catching Feelings!"
So this book is probably not as unhinged as the last four. I'd say this one has a more traditional storyline and almost resembles a traditional historical romance of yore. So of course I ate it up with a spoon. Emma is my fave kind of FMC. She's the strong quiet type who stands up to Giacomo and refuses to let him walk all over her. And Giacomo is the perfect Beast to her Beauty. Stompy, full of rage against idiotic people who put him in this situation but also wants to bone her brains out. And oh Dear Reader, he does! My cranky giant is a giver and has a latent breeding kink that the virginal Emma brings out in him. Surprisingly , this is a slow burn but the kind that burns so hot it will singe your eyelashes off. The romance is slow to developel but surprisingly sweet given all the kinky shenanigans. It was the perfect end to the series and I hope we get a lot more from Mila Finelli because she's my only Mafia romance autobuy and I need moaaaar. This is book five but it *could* stand alone. But I'd recommend reading in order.
My only quibble is that I wanted a prologue seeing them in the future. Did Emma graduate medical school? Did they make a bebe? I need answers 😭😭😭
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

CW: There's bloody violence on the page but I still classify it as Mafia Lite. Dying parent, talk of grief. The subject matter is dark so proceed accordingly. -
Not really what I was hoping for.
Highly anticipated 2023 releases have been really disappointing for me overall and that makes me so sad. :(
This book frustrated me and underwhelmed me in so many regards.
-Breeding Kink. How are you gonna promote/market a book having breeding kink and not actually show it? I mean we got…some. Just barely. I didn't even realize until I read this book that breeding kink is the thought of impregnating that's the kink and turn on, not the actual act per say. But even so, that barely had much airtime in this either. I’m so confused by the choices Finelli made here. You have an arranged marriage between two people who are from rival mafia families who need to get pregnant in 3 months time or their loved ones will die. What’s more higher stakes and dramatic than that?! But nothing happens. Barely any sex (compared to the other books). No pregnancy in the end, nothing. So much page time was wasted instead on the hero and heroine delaying consummating their marriage, the heroine trying to get out of it and go back to Toronto or the hero pushing her away. The constant flip flopping also confused me and frustrated me.
-Emotional connection. I had the same problem in
Mafia Madman and same problem persisted here. There was barely any time or effort shown in letting the characters actually connect and fall in love. It just seems to happen over night and come out of thin air after they have sex. The words are given and they are nice but I didn’t really believe it because of that. You literally have your heroine say at the 70% mark she doesn’t even know anything about her husband. So you just fall in love with someone you barely know? *crickets* How does that even make sense? :/ I mean we finally do get some of the sweet moments we are waiting for but it felt like a blip compared to everything else that happens there. It felt like these 2 barely spent any time together here, the pacing was very odd. I wanted much more than what was given.
-The sister. I’m gonna sound like an epic b*tch saying this but it’s fiction so who cares. But having your hero have a more visceral/urgent reaction and drop everything to run after his runaway 26 year old sister Vivian instead of fighting for his wife who he supposedly loves was a.....choice. It just left a bad aftertaste in my mouth and so underwhelming. Your wife is curled up in a ball sobbing and you just leave her there and tell her to go back home? Seriously?? THAT'S IT? Giacamo coddling his adult sister and his obsession of hiding her got tiring the more it went on. I wanted the heroine Emma to meet Vivian and become friends. Instead we got this nonsense. One conversation with Emma over the phone and that's it.
-Emma. I liked her...sometimes. She's exactly the type of heroine I usually love. Smart, quiet, sweet, selfless, minds her business. I liked her levelheadedness and good heart. That's very easy to like. But this girl really got on my nerves at times. One with the goody two shoes “the dangers of misogyny!” act. For someone so smart studying to become a doctor she would say stuff that would make my eyes roll so hard they almost fell out of their sockets.
Yes, I was a virgin. I knew it was silly. But it wasn’t like I was waiting for marriage. That perpetuated an arcane patriarchal view of a woman’s body and her rights.
“That was fast. Too bad for your wife, eh, Don Buscetta?”
A stamina joke. Awesome. I guess we were checking all of the clichéd misogynist boxes today.
“You have no right to yell at me, because I did nothing wrong. I will not perpetuate a backwards society where I’m supposed to be lesser than you just because I’m a woman.”
She pushed a strand of long brown hair behind her ear. “Sex isn’t just vaginal penetration. That’s a very misogynistic way of looking at—”
🙄
Yes Italian men are Machismo. Yes the Mafia world is misogynistic AF. We all know that. Who are you trying to prove it to? Why do you gotta remind me at every turn? During sexy times? Even when talking about raising a future child? Please stop. It just felt like the author's own voice blaring through and took me out of moments and I hated it. Your audience already knows how toxic misogyny is, we don't need the lessons. Nobody is this preachy all the fucking time. Let me enjoy my big dicked filthy-mouth alpha jerk Italian heroes in peace please. Secondly, Emma's flip flopping over what she wants just aggravated me. The last 100 pages of her wavering back and forth in deciding if she wants to give their fake marriage a real try after flying back home was frustrating and felt like a waste of time. All that time wasted on them separated and her dragging her feet. My biggest pet peeve triggered. One minute she tells the hero she "needs time" the next she's insisting to everyone they are too different and it won't work out and she will sign the annulment papers then turns around saying she never said no to him and he's the one who left. Huh? WHICH IS IT?! The constant wishy washy yes/no this girl did wasn't suspenseful, it was dumb. I really hate when after the 3rd act breakup when a character drags their fucking feet for ages to come to a decision and everyone tells them they are being stubborn and they still refuse to budge. It's stupid and a waste of time. We are also told at the very last minute how the heroine has been suffering nightmares from when she was kidnapped by Russian sex traffickers a year ago, do we see any of that PTSD here? Nope. Not even a flinch. It's like Mila Finelli barely had time or forethought to flesh out her characters or their connection. We got 2 sweet moments of him teaching her how to box and cuddling in bed and that's pretty much it. I loved those soft cute moments so much! I wanted and needed more of that. :( I wanted her to actually work with Giacomo, she's a Med student, patching up his men who've been hurt would have made great scenes. Like I said, Finelli threw away so many great moments.
-"where is my wife?" moment.... WHERE WAS IT? I wanted that so bad.
-And just going to note since it seems to have caused upset and people mislabeling this as a cheating book. Yes the hero sleeps with his mistress at the very beginning and no I don't consider it cheating because this is hours after hero and heroine are forced at gun point to get married and they want nothing to do with each other. And he tells the heroine he slept with his mistress and the heroine doesn't care at all. Did I love it? No. But it's not cheating to me when hero and heroine are virtual strangers at that point and there's no emotional investment. I know this is a debatable hot topic but I feel like context is also *very* important. If he did this after a few weeks of getting to know the heroine then yes I would take issue and call that cheating.
*Also, caught an odd discrepancy here. Enzo's brother Vito is described at one point in this as being the "oldest" D’Agostino brother, which is wrong. Unless I blanked out Enzo is the oldest brother out of the 3, not Vito. Enzo is the freaking heir of that empire, the hero of Book 3. How was this not caught?*
So to say I was underwhelmed is an understatement. I had really high hopes for this one and it just didn't deliver in anything. Not the steam, not the breeding kink, not the angst or the chemistry. That all being said, I still think Mila Finelli is a fantastic writer. She's the only writer who gets Mafia romance right for me. She really knows how to write hot blooded Italian men and it's like crack. Her characters feel real, feel lived in and act like adults. They are intelligent too. Big bonus points there! Her heroes make you believe they are mafioso. These men are ruthless, say what they mean, and follow through with every promise they make, tenfold. So fucking sexy. Giacomo being very honest and never lying to the heroine and respecting her boundaries even when he disagreed is prime example of that. And the Italian mannerisms, inflections and lingo? *chef's kiss* Perfecto. I hope Ms. Finelli continues to write more Mafia books.
ETA: I just found out Mila Finelli is Joanna Shupe under a different pen name and my mind is blown. 😳 How did I not know this?? I would have never guessed going off the writing. -
3.5 stars. Mafia Virgin is the 5th book in Mila Finelli’s Kings of Italy series, and I believe the last book in the series! This is a mafia romance with age gap and an arranged/forced marriage setup between Emma and Giacomo. While I guess it could be a standalone, you will definitely get more out of this story and the characters having read the series in order.
“You, Emma Buscetta, are my reward for the cruelty and misery I endured in this house. You are the only good thing to live under this roof for almost two decades.”
The story kicks off in Italy with a meeting of the heads of the mafia families. While there, one of the bosses decides that Giacomo will marry Emma to forge an alliance with Fausto’s family (hero of the first 2 books, she’s his sister-in-law). This will help put to rest a business dispute between Fausto and Giacomo by forging a marriage alliance between the two families. Neither family wants it to happen but later on the idea is forced upon Giacomo again when the boss has leverage over him. Emma gets forced into the marriage as well when threats are put against her father who is gravely ill.
Emma is living in Toronto when the story starts, she’s the youngest Mancini sister (her 2 older a sisters have gotten their stories). And Emma has always wanted to be a doctor and is in fact in her second year of uni in Toronto, while also caring for her ill father. She’s threatened and then whisked off to marry and the story quickly unfolds from there with her and Giacomo told they need to get pregnant within 3 months as well!
This had a great, fun, entertaining start! It feels very fast paced and I was enjoying the story for what it was. The second half did lose my interest and it seemed like these two fell in love over night so I didn’t love that. Their relationship definitely is more physical than anything and I didn’t really get their connection besides that; I mean they pretty much only are hanging out when it’s to bang. Emma is a very curious person and sometimes she kind of got on my nerves, everything with her felt a little too analytical (like with his piercing). But we do have age gap in here, she’s 20 and he’s 32, and they both very much care for their family. He is a tortured hero, or has a tortured past with his childhood and memories. I kind of wanted that explored more or some resolution there, like with him burning his family’s house down to the ground or something dramatic like that. lol I just wanted a little more from this one in the second half. But all in all, this series is a fun time! The first 3 just remain my favs. -
Super disappointing! I know that liking or disliking a book is 100% based on each of our personal, subjective preferences but this felt objectively bad to me. It didn't feel like it was written by a professional, it felt like reading your best friend's One Direction fanfiction. A 1 star rating feels a little too harsh to me but I've been sitting here wracking my brain for any positives that would justify bumping it to a 2 star and I literally can't think of any.
Not to sound like an 85 year old, but it really does kind of feel like the whole booktok culture has lowered the standard for romance novels. Mila would have never gotten the hype she did if the first book in the series was written with the same standard as this fifth book. She got popular off that first book because it was generally good! It seemed like thought had been put into it.
You can have a book that's mostly erotica that's still well-written and includes multi-dimensional, interesting characters. I gave
the third book in the series 5 stars and that shit was 300 pages of yacht sex. Plot? Don't know her. Not in the room with us.
It's super insulting when authors act like they can throw any slop at our heads and we'll just gobble it up like raccoons with zero discernment skills. It's giving Napolean Dynamite flinging a ladle of food at Tina's head "here bitch, eat your dinner."
And I know I'm about to piss everyone off with this next point but it has to be said: I feel like people never point out the right parts in their negative reviews. You'll see a bunch of 1 star reviews that'll be like "1 star - do NOT read. In chapter 3, the hero called another woman beautiful!"
Like.... girl lmao.
It's so bizarre to rate books based on the book following your specific social rules. It's like saying "1 star, the main character was Catholic and I don't agree with organized religion." Like.... ok weirdo this is a fictional story. You can't read about a character who's Catholic because you're not Catholic? No one is telling you to agree with Catholicism... the character is Catholic, not you. It's like... I agree with you girl, this is a 1 star book... but it's not because the hero called another woman beautiful in chapter 3.
Your actual issue is not that "the hero slept with another woman", it's that the book is written badly. We all have books that include themes we never thought we'd like but the author was able to sell the story to us and win us over. I bet you if this was actually well written, the reviews would be like "wow, I typically hate cheating in romances but somehow this worked for me" "I hate cheating in books but I understand why the hero did it, it made so much sense given his backstory..." "I can't believe Mila made me fall in love with a hero who cheated..."
Let's put our thinking caps on and identify why exactly we didn't like the book because "1 star, he cheated!!" is so ...missing the point.
I'm not being a hater, I would never make this criticism in front of a man. I'm only saying this because we're all girlfriends here and also smart enough to have these conversations. Don't worry besties, I will defend your "1 star, he cheated" review with my entire pussy if someone who isn't one of us has anything shady to say. -
Pass. No Thanks.
I don't understand the appeal of cheating. It sometimes feels as if 98% of what we read today in the "Romance" category is about cheating and Manhos. Why? Who loves to be cheated on? Who loves a Hero who f***ks everything in sight?
For this reader, the answer is an absolutely f****g NO. Cheating is black & white and I don't care how one has remorse or is a changed person. Once you betray someone's trust, it can't be undone. It lives in your head for eternity so the appeal for this cheating trope is something that I don't understand.
Are we expected to believe that since ARC readers never mention it in their reviews that they don't mind it? If they don't mind it, then why not mention it? Not saying that there are not readers out there who love and look for this trope, but the majority do not. So again, why this continued need to insert it in 9 out of 10 books? Isn't it about time that folks woke up and smelled the coffee already? -

I can’t put into words how much I enjoyed Mafia Virgin. The way I devoured this book, I struggled to put it down. When I wasn’t reading it I was thinking about it. This is my definitely my favorite book in this series. I loved the evolution of Giacomo and Emma’s relationship and their character development through the story. Emma was always looked at as the inexperienced sweet sister in the previous books when all along she was the fiercest of them all. Giacomo was 🔥🫠. I loved all the different sides you see of him, I fell in love with him and all of his grumpy deliciousness. I really enjoyed all of the side characters, I loved Sal and Zani… I was just as invested in them as I was the main characters. The plot was amazing, as the story went on it had me at the edge of my seat. The emotion I felt while reading this book especially at the end 🥹 The spice was impeccable, it was so hot and well written 🥵🥵. I would highly recommend Mafia Virgin and this entire series. You will not be disappointed. Mila Finelli is a brilliant story teller. This book was my favorite and I’m already ready to read it again.
Thank you Mila Finelli and Valentine PR for the ARC of this book in exchange for my review -

I WILL NEVER BE THE SAME this is one of the HOTTEST books I’ve ever read point blank PERIOD 🫠 easily my favorite in the series and I need Mo desperately. Arranged mafia marriages will hit every time for me but the breeding kink in this one?!?! BARK BARK BARK WOOF WOOF BABYYYYYYYYY Mila is a legend for this one, it was so entertaining and steamy I had to take breaks because it was so hot 🥵

this was disappointing, not in accomplishing to tie all the different plots throughout the series and being a satisfying finale, but in the romance department. it's hard to believe how much i loved the third book when all the others weren't nearly as good, in my opinion. this felt like more of the same, with both elements from frankie's duet and gia's story, which is ironic given how emma wanted to be set apart from her sisters after years of being the invisible good girl amongst them. what pissed me off the most was how much the mmc infantilized her. don't get me wrong, i love a daddy/little girl dynamic and roleplay, but this wasn't that. he thought of her as less than for being younger than him and kept referring to her as "young" both in his inner monologue and in dialogue, which got him hard, even using it as argument throughout the entire book when he was the one who acted like a child with his wounded pride and constant tantrums. plus, he was obsessed with her virginity and being her first to an extreme degree, for someone who believed her to be soo young, simply because all his life he had come second to his brother. if that wasn't bad enough, he fucked his "mistress" the night of their wedding. but it gets worse, even though he didn't like the other woman, and by that point was supposedly already in love with his wife, when they had a fight and he told the fmc to leave, he proceeded to spend the night at his mistress' house... with less than 15% of the book left. but in his eyes it was ok because they didn't have sex.
-
2 stars Oof. I didn’t like anything about this book. It only gets 2 stars because I reserve 1 star ratings for books that are truly offensive or problematic. To be fair, I’m not a fan of virgin characters or breeding kink. However there are authors who can pull it off for me, and I’ve enjoyed all of Mila Finelli’s books until this one; so I was optimistic. But this didn’t work for me at all, and not just because of the virgin and breeding aspects. I didn’t like the characters, the relationship was so flat, for a second around 85% the plot was interesting but then not so much. It’s a no from me.
-
3.5 stars
there were so many red flags of the mmc and honestly the book was giving very much ✨Cora Reilly✨ vibes. The series is very addicting however this one was probably worst out of the five 😬😬 -
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/6.
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5.
I read this story in one sitting however it started rough and ultimately it didn't end on a good note for me and here is why.
Giacomo started as an a$$, he got a bit better and then he ended up as he started imo. I didn't like him in the beginning but as I learned a bit more about him, I thought he had the potential but then he just didn't get better. I was indifferent to him and that's never a good thing. The third act was also not it and I didn't get why Giacomo and all the others too for that matter felt like Emma was the one to have to go to him in order to be together. Nope. Giacomo was the one who said stuff that he shouldn't so why should she be the one to just go for it? I didn't like that. I thought Giacomo should've grovel and he didn't which sucked imo.
I really loved Emma though which was a surprise. I thought she was very strong and she didn't cower in front of danger or Giacomo. I liked that she had things to say whenever someone would say something misogynist. Just because she is quiet and likes to keep the peace doesn't mean that she's weak and meek and Giacomo eventually saw that.
I loved that when Giacomo declared himself to her, she didn't just forgive and forget and when that happened I was cheering for her. I liked how she dealt with it and asked time in order to make sense of things.
He reminded me a bit of Fausto in various aspects however while Fausto made it up for me in the end of his story, Giacomo didn't.
I didn't bought that Giacomo loved Emma and i feel like down the line they would end up divorcing. I just didn't see the love he professed and how sustainable it could be.
With all of this said, I still like the story and read it in one sitting so take all of this with a grain of salt.
Not my favorite in the series by any means but I'll continue to read more Mila Finelli for sure.

Giacoma And Emma
DNF 40% This book was just dragging. The mmc was described as a big oafish boxer— not appealing at all for a mafia boss. The fmc was a nerdy med student. Arranged marriage by the big mob boss. The characters were just boring af. No chemistry … nothing to make you want to Keep turning the pages. Blah blah blah writing. -
Overall decent enjoyable read but def partly getting knocked down 2 stars for the dumb actions of the MMC at the beginning of the book. Idk why authors keep putting this OVERUSED trope in books when it doesn’t help ratings and just pisses off fans… it’s gross. It didn’t make sense to me with his character🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ I’m just glad these mafia women can just have their dream careers and passions in this world despite the misogyny!!

This has cheating in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love cheating, angsty books!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I haven't read it!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Like most of the 1 star reviewers haven't read it) So, I don't really know how the writing is. But......it has cheating in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm, like, really really smart!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (If I know I won't like a book? I won't read it, lol, problem solved.).
Sorry, I couldn't resist. -
My favorite read out of this series. I must say that I do not like the title of the book. Just, no.
I loved the H and h and the storyline. There was one thing that I didn't think should have happened but even though it happened it didn't bother me cause it didn't bother the h. I really liked how the series ended and thankful for the author didn't write in cause it would have made me sad.
All in all, I do recommend this series. Happy Reading! -

Mafia Virgin is the fifth book in The King’s of Italy series. I love this series so much. If you haven’t read this series yet, I highly recommend.
I loved Emma and Giacomo story so much! Giacomo and Emma are forced into a marriage they both didn’t want. This book was such a great read and I was hooked from the start! They had so much chemistry and the spice was so good!
Mafia Virgin releases on the 13th, and you guys are not going to want to miss this book. This is a dark mafia romance, so make sure you check triggers.
