Penguin Revolution: Volume 2 Reviews
-
This was a great volume and the plot keeps getting thicker. I couldn't put it down. I have a feeling it could only get better as I read farther.

These two cannot possible be any more adorable. They other guy has to know that she is a girl. He may not be able to see well, but I can garuntee that he is not that blind. I am quite fond of this series.

Maybe as I grow older my tastes are changing, but while this series has not disappointed me yet it has done little to surprise me. A girl who sees wings on talents and watches them grow as they grow, while at the same time the girl has to pretend she's a male to be the actor's manager. That actor has to pretend to be a girl at school for a reason I have forgotten since the first novel. Very contrived storytelling where the author reached for gender reversals. The gender reversals almost seems completely unnecessary, while at the same time having a high school manager guiding your acting career seems completely unbelievable. This is manga, though, but it does not entirely excuse the author of trying to do too much instead of focusing on one interesting story.

This is an adorable, lightweight series. I'm ridiculously fond of all of the major characters, and I foresee Penguin Revolution becoming one of my comfort reads.
-
(Side note: the author's note at the end is so sad!)
-
aw aw aw... I can't stop thinking about Ryo Katsuragi and Makoto Ayaori :D
