I am no longer an Enforcer.
I am no longer a Witch.
I no longer hate the Fae. (For the most part)
And the sex-on-a-stick-gorgeous-Fae? He isn't really the Dark Prince.
No, he is the father of my children and with the babies on the way, the land dying and the Mages closing in; alliances will have to be formed if we are all to make it through the war that is coming to our front door.
Between warring Gods and Goddesses, how are any of us supposed to win?

Seducing Destiny will be releasing on January 20th! I will be putting it up on all platforms at the same time. Unfortunately, if I placed it on pre-order, it would take longer to reach you. So I will be passing on it this time.
Kobo and Itunes: They changed their system, and their cover requirements. I am currently having my cover artist redo and work them so I can get the approved for the platforms. -
I waited so long for this book....maybe that was the problem. Maybe I built it up in my head? Nah, Syn's voice and character completely changed. Yes, a lot happened to her. I'll give you that, but in my opinion, it happened far TOO quickly. I won't go into details but I got whiplash from all the shit that went down. The plot and the action could have been really good with a bit more development but it felt like there was a lot of holes that didn't get cleared up. And it might seem petty but how Syn spoke completely changed! I related to her in previous books. All of a sudden the little spitfire who is thrusted into Queendom walks, TALKS, and leads like a Queen? Where is the banter? All of a sudden And the sex....my God Amelia, the raw and the real is gone and all I'm left with is FIFTY SHADES OF FUCKING FAIRY (can u say plug?). What made the relationship between Ryder and Syn so believable was the passion, the fire and it just felt a bit contrived and fucking scripted. Yes Ryder was always a dirty bastard (and I loved it) but I swear if he said I love your dripping pretty, pink pussy one more time, grrrr. I am ashamed to say I ended up skimming through the pages of the sex scenes. I get that they got their happily ever after and of course a lot of the tension and rebellion would go away but something fell horribly flat for me. I still liked it but it didn't rock my socks off. I'm sticking with Amelia but I'm hoping when the series continues she stays true to the characters. Especially Ristan....don't fuck with the Demon, woman!!
I have it....but I'm afraid to read it :( How's that for crazy?
HELL YESSSSSSSS!!! A release date finally!! January 20th!!!
Update: Ugh why do authors always branch out into a new series the minute they hook you into the first? Its a friggin conspiracy. "Must not buy new series....Must not indulge the whimsy of the author.......Damn, its an apocalytic novel with ZOMBIES?!?! Shiiiiiiiiiit, this better be good."
Amelia, I see you on Goodreads, miss. You got time to play around on the internets...you got time to write. Hurry up, woman!! I need my fairy fix.
You made me love this series and fall in lust with the crazy fucking Fairy and in love with the Demon, Amelia....Now hustle on the next one, woman! You've made a fan out of me. -
When I thought I would go boneless with worry, he became the bones which held me up.
*MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS*
Wow, I spechless.. I seriously don't know how Amelia does it?! It's amazing how she can deliver amazing book after amazing book?! Usually first book in a series is good, then second is okay, then the series gets more and more boring, however The Fae Chronicles are each FUCKING FANTASTIC!!!”Forever will never be long enough with you.”
I see many people are not give this book more than 3-4 stars... How that is possible, I do not understand.. I mean, it's Ryder guys!?! Ristan!?! Syn!?! Tough Ryder alone should be enough! It many not be the best book in the series, but it was bloody damn good! :)“You didn’t wait very long before asking me again, Ryder,” I whispered.
“I never wait when there is something I want as much as this; as much as I want you.”
Ryder and Syn are my biggest ship ever! I don't think I ever have shipped a couple more than them, ever before. Their relationship is simply perfection! Those who do not love them as a couple, can go fuck themselves! Just sayin' ;P They are a power couple. Those two together=No one can stand against them. + Their beautiful children?! So adorable!! Ryder, Syn, their family.. everything about them is P E R F E C T !“We can try, but don’t be offended if she doesn’t care. She’s breaking, and all I can do is watch as she shatters.”
“She’s a warrior, and a damn fine one at that. She might break for a while, but Synthia will always get back up. It’s just how she’s made, and that’s part of the reason you love her.”
Syn, man, she's so amazing! If you have read my other reviews for the previous books, then you know how I just adore and love this woman.. She's simply my hero! Syn NEVER gives up! No matter how many times she get's knocked down, she keeps going,“I’ll spend eternity loving you, Synthia. And tormenting you in my bed, until you admit who your master is,” he finished.
“I have no master,” I whispered sleepily. “I’ll have a husband soon, and the love of my life. No master though,” I continued.
“I guess we’re not done here,” he replied roguishly.
Ryder, on the other hand, is probably the man of my wet dreams. I want him so fucking much, I'm pretty sure, it hurts.. He is the best leader and king you can get, and Ryder's pretty much perfection. Yes, everything about this book/series is perfection! Specially Ryder! I think Ryder is, and probably forever will be, my book boyfriend.. I'm that fucking obsessed with him..My mark, our link snaps and I feel pain as it rips through my chest as surely as if someone has removed my heart physically.
And Amelia, were you trying to give me a complete heartbreak?! I cried almost through the whole fucking book!!!! I thought I was going to lose it!!! Tears were streaming down my face more than I could count, and I even had to stop reading because I couldn't see anything through the tears!!“You sure he isn’t your long lost twin?” I asked Ryder.
“I’m sure,” Ryder said ignoring Lucian as he took a sip of his drink.
We got to meet a new character, Lucian, and man, I fucking hope we get more of him because he was smoking hot!!! I love him!! He reminds me so freaking much of how Ryder was in Fighting Destiny!!! And OMG!!! My pooooooor baby, Ristan!! How dare anyone harm him!?!!!! I want to end anyone who hurt him!!!! I cried for him, and I hope my baby gets better and I just want to hug him <3!!My heart broke into a million pieces, useless pieces.
However, you probably are wondering as to why I'm not giving this full 5 stars.. Reason: What I have loved about this series so far was that Ryder was the most powerful, the strongest and the one who was leading the people, however in Seducing Destiny, Syn kinda took over.. I didn't dislike it, I just didn't like seeing Ryder on the sideline.. I love seeing him lead and I love him simply being the best and when Syn suddenly became everything, I just... Wasn't that much of a fan of that.. I love them as a power couple or Ryder being on top, not Syn being on top.. (wow, that sounded so wrong.. But Ryder just doesn't work as #2!)”You’re going to scream for mercy, and we’re only going fuck you harder.”
Either way I love this series, and I hate that we have to wait forever, at least it will feel like forever for next book which will be the last book with Syn and Ryder, which will break my heart into pieces... Please, Amelia, release the next book fast!!!!! :D
Rate: 4.5 stars.

5 Fae Loving Stars
”I knew I loved him, but love wasn’t strong enough to seduce destiny into giving us what we wanted. Danu kept telling me that destiny had to be won, that I wasn’t just born to it, and that I had to fight to get it.”
Well fighting is exactly what Syn and Ryder do in this fourth kick ass installment. They are faced with life threatening obstacles to their world and their newborn babies lives are in danger. Damn it if these two didn’t come out stronger than ever. So get to bowing friends...
This story will bring you to tears…
”Had you told me of this kind of pain, I’d have denied wanting it. I’d have lied if I could have. But if not feeling this pain meant never knowing you, I’d feel it again and again – just for you.”
You will be panting Ryder’s name while he and his beast takeyouSyn…
”You’re going to scream for mercy, and we’re only going fuck you harder.”
This installment was page turning wonderful and I just loved the direction their story went and the vibrant world the author created.
Syn and Ryder's relationship catapults into epic territory.
”Forever will never be long enough with you.”
There isn’t a cliffhanger ending but reader’s will be itching to get to Ristan the Demon’s book !
Amelia Hutchins totally...

5 Emotional Stars
*Spoilers*
This series is Fucking Awesome!!!!!!!! This book wow, I don't even know where to start or how to put into words how good this book was. It had everything I want in a book, and I finally got the I love you I was waiting for from Ryder and Syn!!!! Amelia Hutchins does it again! Right out the gate she had me freaking the hell out. This book grabbed my attention and kept me on a emotional rollercoaster til the end. At the 25% mark of the book I am gutted!!
Yup at this point I am losing my shit, and crying like a damn baby!
Ryder was perfect in this book. The way he broke over Syn, and the way he was with their babies melted my heart. Nothing is sexier than a good father! Nothing!!!! He was so romantic and sweet, but still all sexy, powerful, dominant , and Possessive alpha male he has always been just a whole lot sexier. And the man cornered the market on dirty talk!
"Is that what you are? Because I thought you were my dirty little plaything. One who screams my name so loudly while I'm driving my cock into you, that the Humans can hear us going at it in their own realm."
"After we present our children to our people, I'm going to kiss every inch of you and I promise to not leave anything untouched. I'm going to make you beg for my cock, and then maybe I'll let you have control of my cock... maybe,"
"I'm going to make you scream and beg for mercy, but I'll have none. Not for tonight. Tonight you are going to beg me for every release I give you.
Syn brave, strong, and fighting with all she's got! Syn.... Damn I love Syn. There is nothing about her I would change. She is perfect! Standing by her man. Fighting for her family. Watching her go from a Fae hating woman that lets the past blind her to a loving mother perfect!
"It hurts to feel something so much and to have the other person not know or be unwilling to return those feelings. That's what I feel for you; that's love. And yes, at times it hurts like a bitch, Fairy. But I didn't leave you willingly; I'm still here and even death couldn't take me away from you in the end."
"I need no other man because my beautiful beast loves me. He is my equal, and mine. As I am his. That's why you own me, Fairy. You may own me in the bedroom, but that is because I allow it. I allow you to love me, because I love you. I am never owned, but I can be charmed into a partnership. Those are facts; now stop arguing because as a smart man once told me, I always win."
Syn and Ryder
Damn but I love em.. A beautiful couple. Sweetest damn family. I am so addicted to this series! To these characters. They feel so real to me, and I feel completely invested in this couple and their family, friends, and their world. I waited four books for the lovey dovey stuff and this book gave it to me, and so much more. It was worth the wait because I melted...
"Then marry me, Synthia, fucking marry me and make me yours as I want to make you mine. Forever,"
"I'm asking you this, not because I almost lost you, but because I know now that I need you. You're my air, Synthia Raine Mckenna, the mother to my children and my entire world. I know now that I've always wanted you, and while I went through deceitful ways to obtain you, we now know that this was our destiny all along. I love you, and I don't want to live without you. So, Pet. Will you marry the beast?"
"I love you," I whispered. "I love you too, Synthia. Forever will never be long enough with you,"
"I need to marry her before she remembers what an asshole I used to be, and all I've done to get and keep her." "I remember, and you being an asshole back then only makes me want to marry you more. I have countless time to torture you. Karma just changed her name , to Synthia."
And Ristan oh God poor Ristan.... Break my heart! I hope his book is next I need more Ristan, need to see his pain healed, and I need him to get his Happy Ever After. I really enjoyed Syn with her family. I love her brother Liam and the blood king and queen! I would love to see Liam get a love story too he deserves HEA too!
"My daughter birthed triplets! Long live the Horde King and soon to be Queen!"
The only thing I didn't care for in this book was the choking during sex thing. It just didn't do it for me. I get that the writer was trying to try it fresh and all, but it's not my thing! Other than that this book was Epic. It has a great story, and kept me guessing I never knew what would come next. Action packed, fast pace, and full of naughty, lusty passion. The Fae Chronicles has made a Fan girl outta me!!! Loved it and I would recommend this series to anyone looking for a awesome paranormal romance!!

Ah Ryder!!! You Sexy, Freaky Stud!!! I tried to stay away, but I'm Obsessed!!
Ryder
“No woman could ever give me what you have,” he said softly. “I’ll spend eternity loving you, Synthia. And tormenting you in my bed, until you admit who your master is,” he finished
The war against the Mages (which is starting to get on my nerves) continues. The Mages, which are suppose to be weaker Fairies, have been able to pull off stunts that I thought shouldn't have been possible. At least we find out why, and who has been helping them.
Synthia and Ryder experience a loss that will have you all teary eyed. And Ryder Finally admits what I have known all along!! That he loves Synthia with all his heart!! He waited till book FOUR!!! IT's About DAMN Time!!! It was SO worth the wait!!
“Get on the bed, Pet, and show me what’s mine. Show me what I own, so I can show it exactly why it belongs to me. There’s a reason you belong to me, and it isn’t because I can brand you, or own you. It’s because when I fuck you, I make sure I do it good enough that when you look at another man, the only thing you can think about, is how sore your sweet flesh is from what I did to it.”
The plot really thickens as the land of Fairy is on the verge of dying. Synthia continues to go thru changes as she adapt to the powers she received from the Goddess. She is still just as feisty and Badass as always, but now she has a family to protect!!
Synthia
“I need no other man because my beautiful beast loves me. He is my equal, and mine. As I am his.”
“I love you,” I whispered.
“I love you too, Synthia. Forever will never be long enough with you.”
I tried not to read this book. I told myself I wouldn't read it until the final book of the series was complete. That way I could read them back to back. But Ryder was just too yummy, and the story was too consuming! I have totally enjoyed this series and hate to part from it while I PATIENTLY wait on Rystan's book,
A Demon's Dark Embrace, and the final book of this series.
Amelia Hutchins has created a world full of beauty and power. Each book has been action packed, fast paced, and HOT as Sin!! I highly recommend this series to all of my paranormal loving friends. The Fae are sexy and devious. This series has me craving more books like this, but I don't know of any others.

Someone please kill me.
Why why why do I feel a need to finish a crappy book series?
Maybe I am a type A personality that needs to complete things I start. Or, I'm a masochist. Yeah, it's probably the second one. Because this book was pure torture to get through.
Speaking of masochism...Ryder has fully turned into Christian Grey at this point. It's Fifty Shades of Fae all over the place. The sex scenes are torturous. Just ridiculous and tedious. The same shit/different day, over and over again.
But, strangely, Ryder has completely given up control of his kingdom and Synthia has taken over. For a supposed control freak, he is strangely silent as Synthia makes all of the decisions on how to rule the fae and how to prepare for war. He stands by (proudly, of course) as she passes judgments, makes allies, and sends people to action. As a matter of fact, Synthia never shuts the f*ck up throughout this whole book. Basically, she gives speech after boring speech over and over again. And, it is the same crap constantly. Hey, Ryder, where's that f*cking gag that you use on her during sex?
And, although they talk about war the entire book, we never actually get a war. That's right, nothing f*cking happens!
This book was so tedious that it took actual will-power to finish it.
This is what I suggest if you want to get through this book. -
Ehhh, was not what I hoped it to be. Thought it was really corny.

4.5 stars
I can't believe it's all over! I'm so glad I gave this series a try because I ended up loving it! While this installment was a bit all over the place, I'm still satisfied with how it all ended. What am I going to do now??? I guess I'll have to go read Amelia's other book to get my fix :) -
3.5 ★'s
At the end of the last book, Syn is pregnant with twins and the Mages are still trying to kill the Fae. Well, that is still the status quo...but things do progress.
The Mages are in full force. It seemed instead of the Fae being offensive, they are very much on the defense. The Mages have struck quite a few places and quite frankly have gone for the jugular. The only saving grace is Syn.
And would that be Syn the Human, Syn the half Fae, Syn the Whole Fae....or whatever else Syn could be? I had a real Meredith Gentry déjà vu moment...or moments with this book. And that's not necessarily a good thing.
Syn has just gotten out of control. Who was once a pretty badass Human/Witch/Guild member has morphed into something else. Unfortunately, that's not the only problem. She's become Alpha to Ryder's Beta...and I'm not even kidding, not one little bit.
Syn is large and in charge of Fairy...the man and the world. I had it up to here with her speeches and at this point, I even wanted to hire a Mage to take her out!
But...there are some saving graces. Ryder, yes, even with him being slightly henpecked, he is still yummy and takes care of business like a boss...or a Horde King. ;) Ristan, our sweet little Demon, has a few moments and he just tugged at my heart especially his bond with a certain someone. And well, there's a few new "someone's" and I loved what they brought to the story.
Don't worry, the steaminess is still there. Syn and Ryder manage to sneak away now and then but what's with all the BDSM moments?
We get to learn a lot more about Danu and what has gone on with her. And we get to meet a lot more of the other Fae that are around. There's also quite a bit about Alden and the Guild.
It ends pretty well...for the moment. But...I can also see there being a lot more of the same ol' same ol'. Hopefully, Syn can step it down a notch or two in the next book.
♦ On a side note: Wow, Love that cover!
Favorite quotes:
♥ “I will never get enough of this; not with you, Pet. You’re my perfect match.”
♥ “I need no other man because my beautiful beast loves me. He is my equal, and mine. As I am his. -
To the people who "edited" this book: if you got any money from it, you should give it back. The editing was disgraceful. The punctuation was mostly ok, but the way the sentences were constructed... it was a disaster! And don't get me started on spelling and verb tenses and all the other grammatical crap because I would never finish this review.
About the characters: Ryder was too passive, not at all like himself. He was just around to boost Syn's confidence and fuck her, all the rest, well Syn can make ALL the decisions. It's like he was a blow up doll who could nod at all the appropriate times.
The plot: it would have been ok if some of the scenes were arranged differently for a more emotional response.
example 1:
example 2:
The only characters that acted like themselves were the secondary characters that actually didn't have time to fuck things up...
All in all, this one is my least favourite in the series and I was expecting a lot more from Ms. Hutchins. -
So book 4 had some seriously emotional moments that brought forth such strong feelings from me.
The looming war is still very much affecting the whole of Faery and Syn and her babies are still a visible and convenient target for others evil intentions.
The actions visited upon her finally resulting in an epiphany from Ryder regarding the true depths of his affections towards Syn.
There was a lot going on here and certain budding story threads are also interwoven into the narrative.
One of these being Risten and the librarian Olivia and I’m really looking forward to exploring that further.
So Syn is now firmly entrenched with her heritage and playing an active part in her new role and her and Ryder are united in there solidarity.
They both seem totally connected here working as a single unit.
This also brings the heat and Synthia and Ryder manage to set the pages alight with there antics and explosive chemistry of which there was a lot.
I enjoyed this massively but the previous books did have a slight edge over this one for me.
I still devoured this it was a great read, I liked where we left things and I am definitely looking forward to seeing what comes next for this particular series.

Sadly this was a DNF for me.
It pains me to say that I will not be continuing with this series, if this book is any indication of things to come.
This book was one of my most anticipated releases, yet sadly it failed to deliver, whether with character development, action or the connection between the characters. It started really well and then at the 26%, I found myself losing interest. The writing felt choppy and immature, I kept thinking this cannot be written by the same author of the previous books; To me this book felt more like a debut novel, rather than the fourth book of the series.
Ryder and Synthia's love in Seducing Destiny felt forced and the intensity of their connection was lacking. I found the twist at 26% weak and it seemed to get worse as I kept reading.
The twists and turns that the book took were not enough to sustain my interest and I had to admit defeat at the 60% mark.
This installment of the series didn't do it for me and I couldn't suspend my disbelief at some of the turns it took, even given the genre. -
Dnf ~10-15%
I still believe that the first 2 books in the series are amazing, or maybe I was new to PNR and naive(ha!). It's been months since I started this one and I'm sure I'm not finishing it anytime soon. So, yeah: -
5 stars!
So what...
THIS BOOK!!!!!
IT WAS CRAZZZYYYY!
Okay, so this book was on a whole new level than the previous three. I said the third book was a game changer, this one irrevocably altered the universe. I know I'm being dramatic but...THIS BOOK.
I seriously teared up at certain parts because we FINALLY know how Ryder truly feels about Syn and it was seriously a sight to behold. I loved him with her and even with his children. In this book, he was such a different man...well...erm...fae. I loved seeing his gentle and loving side along with his intense and feral side.
I fell in love with Ryder.
Yup, it happened albeit at a very slow rate. But I think Hutchins did this on purpose, she showed us his kindness little by little and all those pieces created such a great male of worth.
I'm going to die until the next one comes out...please be soooon.
And RISTAN! You get a book! But I'm not too keen on his chicky...she...ehhhh....I hope she had a REALLY good reason for doing what she did. -
3.5 stars!

Narrators do the characters justice...
Seducing Destiny is where Syn really shines. Her strength, courage and perseverance make Syn a worthy leader. With Ryder at her side, nothing will stop them from defeating their enemies and now that the babies have arrived, they are even more determined to win the war.
While Syn's strength shone, Ryder's emotional growth was definitely the highlight for me. He admitted to his feelings for Syn and becomes a loving and devoted partner and father. Definitely had me sighing in delight.
The narrators do a fabulous job of bringing these characters to life. Like I have said previously, I really believe I enjoy Amelia Hutchins' stories more when I listen instead of reading. The narrators help A LOT!
I can't wait for more to be released in audiobook format.

Beasts, Goddesses and Demons oh my...
Another fabulous instalment of the Fae Chronicles.
It's taken me a while to get to this one because at the last moment I decided I had to do a re-read of the whole series. I really enjoyed it as much as the first time and I was able to see the characters develop. It made it easier to follow and understand why certain decisions were made.
I absolutely loved the connection between Syn and Ryder. This book really brought them together and made me love them more. As I progressed through each instalment I noticed how much more sex was in the last couple and it was steamy, smutty and a little kinky too.
The storyline kept my interest with enemies coming from everywhere. The goodies who we once thought were baddies are great and we get to know them more.
I am still a huge fan of this series and definitely going to be reading more. It was worth the wait. -

Gosh..
Gosh.
Gosh!!!!!
I freakin' loved it!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE
review on the way! -
Better than the previous book. More things going on, plots, traitors, killing, magic. It’s a pretty ridiculous series. Same complaint all the way through- too much sex. The sex scenes are 82 hours long and every chapter (or so it reads). Could really do with 90% less.

“You made me feel the need to be a better person. You, Synthia, you made me want to be a better man.”
Seducing Destiny is the fourth book in The Fae Chronicles. Synthia and Ryder are back and with the fate of their kind (and others) weighing on the balance, they will do whatever it takes to save the world and each other."You weren’t supposed to leave me, Pet; that wasn’t the deal."
Synthia and Ryder have been through so much. After finally discovering their love and devotion to each other, they now have a new obstacle to overcome. Syn is pregnant and with babies on the way, she must figure out how to keep their dying land alive. The Mages continue to circle them and no matter how powerful Ryder and Syn are, they cannot escape the danger that is looming.“I should have spanked you harder,”
Told in dual POV, Seducing Destiny evokes extreme emotions that will gut you and then carefully put you back together again. Syn and Ryder share an epic romance and when life and loss are on the line, they will do whatever it takes to be together forever in the end. I find the writing to be rich with colors as the magical world masterfully unfolds. The passion between the couple in the bedroom is smoking hot! With action, passion, intrigue, and romance this series continue to draw me in.
Overall, Seducing Destiny is an absolute must-read for The Fae Chronicles fans. If you haven't had the opportunity to read this series yet, what are you waiting for? It's time to be drawn into a world like you've never experienced before!

5 CALM BEFORE THE STORM IN FAE LAND stars
this is a nice final wrap up of The Fae Chronicles series BUT I want more...
As a final book it does leave an open ending, and the new alluring notion that there could and should be a 5th book.
so i am fighting my own inner growling of discontentment that I have to leave this exquisite pair of badassery, loyalty and sexiness and settle for the "status quo", for now!
there would be more words from me if I was a super human or a magical creature perhaps, and I was able to display in fireworks the enchantment of the world I was pulled into by reading these books
never been introduced with so many fabulous characters,
(especially Syn - the most fantastic badass heroine one can only wish in her wildest dreams to have just a part of her characterisation; Ryder (aka the Horde King aka The Beast), oh man, he had me on my knees from the first page he walked in! I was breathles, I was swooning, I was a mess BUT he lived up to be "the guy" one would wanna fight for no matter what the cost was!)
a mash up of events and situations that even the magical world would have difficulties to deal with...
but most of all, what I have been in awe with is the fact that through out all four books you get to live out the true LOVE story, the EPIC LOVE that consumes you in full, in just one take, and it's not the magic and fantasy that makes it EPIC but just the opposite - the notion of reality hits you in the middle of your core - cause the emotions you are dealing with are as REAL as fuck...
that's why it's epic, it's alive and vivid because it's real!
"I need no other man because my beautiful beast loves me. he is my equal and mine. As I am his. That's why you own me, Fairy. You may own me in the bedroom, but that is because I allow it. I allow you to love me, because I love you. I am never owned, but I can be charmed into a partnership. Those are fact; now stop arguing as a smart man once told me, I always win." -
I don’t even know what to say! I FIVE STAR LOVED the first 3 book in this series. I had SO MANY expectations going into this book. Maybe too many, to be honest. And I just felt so disappointed in almost everything. It felt rushed. It felt like there were so many plot points the author was trying to hit, but there wasn’t enough depth to any of them. IDK... I gotta take a minute. I was planning on reading the 5th book next but I think I’ll wait a bit.
-
I love this series! Each book gets better and better!
There were so many new characters that I'm dying to know more about. I really hope Amelia gives us their stories.
I NEED THIS BOOK NOW!!! -

I didn’t love this and I don’t know what is wrong with me. 😱
This world that Amelia Hutchins has created is beyond amazing, but this book simply didn’t do it for me.
And I HATE this feeling. 😭 #iamafanIpromise
Syn has always been this amazing, strong and fierce woman/Fae.
I didn’t feel that in this book. And I don’t know if it’s just me, but her “voice” seems to have changed. She was so aggressive and crass. She annoyed me. Flat out annoyed me. #whereismygirl?
The banter was also almost non-existing. And she used to be HILARIOUS to follow. I get that the emotions were heavy in this book, but it just didn’t feel like her.
The plot felt really rushed, and everything that happened was added together at the same time which made it a bit messy.
A bit “unplanned”? We needed the info, yes, but I felt like it was just flung at me. 🤷🏻♀️
I am not an English native speaker, but even I was annoyed with the amount of editing mistakes.
Also, can we talk about the sex? The sex was hot, BUT whenever Ryder and Syn had a sweet moment - it changed into sex. Which made the “sweet moment” feel a bit “unimportant”.
There were some really strong and heavy emotions in this book, and those were the moments I truly enjoyed🧡 It’s by no means a “bad book”, - please don’t think that by reading this review, I just found myself struggling to connect with Syn. And I really need to connect to the main character for me to get the “maximum enjoyment” out of a book. 😊💛 And Synthia usually bloody rocks! But hey.. you can’t like everything, right?🤷🏻♀️
The writing style is not my typical favourite style, but I do find it extremely catchy and I actually really like the flow Hutchins has going on. It’s refreshing, I just couldn’t get into it for the hell of me. 🤷🏻♀️
I was just so very underwhelmed with this one.😞
I think I need a little breather from the series, BUT I will be returning soon. I am still completely invested in this world, just not Syn anymore😅, or maybe it was just this one book. Maybe that will change when I read her next book.
I don’t know. 🤷🏻♀️ Still think this series is badass! I promise, I really like her books😂
Lucian was however SO INTRIGUING! I need to know what he is! Great introduction to him!😈

*****SPOILERS******
OMGGGGG! No one has any idea how I'm absolutely glad to finally have read this book. I waited five long months for this and I'm not going to lie I was a bit disappointed.
The Good Things about this book:
1. She had the babies, fyi > I knew she would have triplets. Dibs!
2. Ryder finally admitting his love for her and even proposed. And he Cried, CRIED!
3. The land is now safe for her babies.
4. The writing improved.(BIG BIG improvement there.)
Problems with this book
1. It was rushed. . . Everything happened, pretty much at the beginning of the book so the middle and end for me were not memorable.
2. Ryder changed waayyyy to quickly for me to be honest, even if it was good for Syn. But I had hoped to see it progress a bit more slowly where his defenses and walls would eventually wither away. Not vanish in a quick flash.
It was good thou. Hope the fifth book is better.
Thank you Amelia.

This book was highly anticipated. But unfortunately it felt more like a stepping stone than a major marker for the series. A lot of conflict was breezed right by (Ms. Hutchins, you should have milked it more!) while other conflicts are STILL unresolved. Ryder seemed more mild and not quite what we're use to. That's ok, lots of stuff happened and I know characters need to change and develop. It just felt a little off. Overall, I still enjoyed Syn and the entire story. I can't wait for the next book in the series. -
Forever loving Ryder and Syn.
The End...
For now... -
It’s was meh. I’m probably gonna stop reading this series now. I’m just bored with the writing.

I continue to have a love/hate relationship with this series. I struggle with the writing – I find it a bit choppy and repetitive at times - but the story is just so damn addictive! That, and I have come to truly care about these characters. And I found myself eagerly anticipating the release of this book and diving in as soon as I got my grabby little hands on it.
Synthia has come a long way from the fae-hating, kickass, protector-of-humanity witch that we met in the first book of the series. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a character go through quite as many transitions as this one, but she handles it all like a champ. She is still sassy as all hell with some major attitude, but she’s been through so much since we’ve met her, and she continues to come back tougher and stronger (if anything, she may be a little bit too perfect, with everything she says being perfect and wonderful, and everybody falling in love with her beauty, her wit and her sass. But I think she’s pretty cool too, so I can deal with that). She now has Ryder by her side, is in a position of tremendous power, and is faced with the daunting task of saving Faery. And on top of all of that she is also about to experience evil like she has never encountered before, and still she proves herself to be a forced to be reckoned with.“We take harm upon our own very harshly, and those who fuck with my family will get no mercy.”
And though there is a lot for Syn and Ryder to deal with, with a bad guy gunning for them, deceit and betrayal from their allies, and their lives and the lives of their loved ones in danger like never before, there is a strong focus on their romantic relationship as they strive to find a new, more stabilised life together.“I need you, Ryder. It may sound stupid to you, but I need to feel needed and loved ... I don’t even know where I stand in your world. The only thing I know is that I stand where I was created to stand which is by your side and for me, that’s not good enough. I need you to want me there because you actually want it to be so, not because it was meant to be. I need it to be your choice.”
I enjoyed finally getting some mushy romantic stuff, and it’s blended really nicely with the nasty smutty stuff“No woman could ever give me what you have,” he said softly. “I’ll spend eternity loving you, Synthia. And tormenting you in my bed, until you admit who your master is,” he finished.
“I have no master,” I whispered sleepily..
“I guess we’re not done here,” he replied roguishly.
This series is majorly smutty! There is lots of wild, kinky sex, and it’s all very detailed and descriptive. Sex is a vital part of being fae, so the almost constant wild and violent encounters are a part of their nature, so who am I to judge?
Ryder remains his overly-sexual, badass, beastly self. The man absolutely exudes power, and has been raised to be a warrior – he has known nothing but violence in his life but he has softened since Syn came into his life. I loved watching him come to understand exactly what Syn means to him, and as he opened his heart and showed his softer side, he melted me.“This is your love; it has to be. I can’t breathe. I can’t fucking breathe without you.”
“Forever will never be long enough with you.”
The pacing of the story is really fast, with lots going down in only a short time. There are some seriously big shocks in this book – heartbreaking, horrifying and satisfying - and I found myself madly flipping pages to see how it was all going to play out.
This book pretty much closes off Syn and Rider’s story, but the series is far from done. There are books being set up for other characters, and I loved the times we got to see the whole crew together teasing, bantering and being all badass together. I’m assuming Ristan is up next, and if so I couldn’t be happier! I love that smart-mouthed demon, and his story in this one is both heartbreaking and intriguing. There is also the over-arching storyline of the threat facing Faery itself, which is somewhat dealt with in this book, but there is still danger lurking. I’m looking forward to continuing on.
