I found out what I really wanted and was forced to give him up. Just as I found out who I really am, I was presented to the elusive Horde King as a gift.
This was the mystical being I was hidden from for more than twenty years.
Although Ryder promised to save me, I couldn't let him get near this creature, so I willingly (sort of) signed myself over to be his new plaything.
Now in the Horde Realm, nothing is going remotely like I thought it would.
My powers and emotions are on the fritz, and each day seems to bring surprises that I am not sure how to deal with.
The Horde King thinks he has me exactly where he wants me. He thinks he has taken all of my options away.
I still have choices.
Embracing what destiny has planned for me, or escaping it.

Re-read: 22.10.14
Third re-read: 26.04.15."To find the goal, you must concentrate, for within these walls there is one at stake. Which path would you prefer to take? Death, or life, the choice is yours, but keep in mind, even immortals can make mistakes."
*Might contain spoilers*
Holy shit, this book was perfect! Seriously, it couldn't be more perfect, if you asked me."Take the path for which you seek, but keep in mind, not all will take you to what you need. Illusions abound, tempt and deceive, and while men covet that which holds great beauty, humility is often the kay to the King's needs."
Full of action, laughter, love, friendship, tears and smoking hot sex!!!!!"I'm going to fuck you so hard, and so deep that you will scream my name, Princess. Your body will tremble, your insides will melt, you will be wild with need, but you won't come, not until i allow it. I want you so fucking wild with lust that you beg me to come. That you will beg me to allow you to find release, and only then will i allow you to come on my tongue."

You have five minutes before i turn you over and fuck you again. I suggest you use it wisely."
"Is that so?" I asked as i fought to catch my breath.
"It's so," he said, smiling as i lowered himself down beside me. "You are mine now, and nothing will change that. I won't let anything stand in my way."
And Ryder... Possessive, protective, powerful, sexy, dominant.. Ahh man, i want him! He's a man who loves control, and is so freaking powerful that he can pretty much kill anyone he likes.. Ryder's a beast, but fuck, he's one hell of a hot beast! He's perfect, and the best leader anyone could have. Ryder will pretty much sacrifice everything for his people, for his land, no matter of his own wants."Chain of command, Synthia. I say it. You do it. End of chain, am i clear?" he growled..

"You've got a great ass," he said, never taking his eyes from mine as we walked, oblivious to anyone watching us. "Your screams when i fuck you? I like that shit, too. The noises you make when i drive my cock balls deep and you ask for more? Fuck, i seriously like it… a lot."

"Goddammit, Pet, See me!" He shouted as the walls shook around us.

"Aodan, if you want to keep your hands, i suggest you get them off of her," Ryder growled as he reached for me and pulled me against his body.
"Just seeing if she's into me, my King."
"She's not," Ristan said..
Syn... So beautiful, fierce, kind and strong! I want to be her, for real! I'm jealous of how she handles things and how she fights for what she wants.. More secrets keeps coming her way, and more struggle and lies keeps pushing her down, but does she stay down? Hell no! Syn's a fighter, a real warrior who still doesn't take shit from anyone, not even Ryder. In 'Escaping Destiny' you actually got to know Syn in a whole new way. She's vulnerable and she's got her hormones running all over the place, and she has no idea how to cope with eveything that is going on. I love how, when she feels down, Syn still fight. Amelia Hutchins wrote so fantastic that even though Syn struggled hard and was scared, she didn't seem weak at all. For me, it actually made Syn even stronger. I seriously admire her!Every beauty needed a beast, and he was mine.

Me and bombs are on a first name basis," was my reply, which cause her to look at me as if i was insane. "We are close, like this," i crossed my fingers and wiggled my eyebrow, trying to reassure her i was fine.
The passion, and the want between Ryder and Syn is so powerful that i almost exploded! I have to admit that i don't think i have ever shipped a couple more than those two.. They had me crying, while screaming in anger and it could suddenly shift from anger to freaking love..."If you keep smiling with that damn grin on your lips, I'm going to fuck you."
"That's a bad thing, how?"__________________
"Princess," he smiled wider.
"Fairy," I groanded.
(…..)
"Witch," he amended.
"Asshat," I growled and narrowed my eyes.
"Okay!" Ristan clapped loud enough that we both turned our glares on him. "Now that we got the foreplay out of the way, we can get right onto the main course."
Ryder snorted, and i crossed my arms.
"Ryder," Ristan said patiently, and i could tell they were doing the mind thing again from the look passing over their faces.
"I'm trying. She's the one who started it!"__________________
"You afraid you can't protect me?" I taunted him. Unwise? Yes. Did i care? No. I'd worn his mark before. It was tempting, but at the same time, i wanted him to trust me.
"You carry my child inside of you," his hand moved to touch my stomach. "There is no fucking chance of anything happening to either of you. Even if that means that i have to protect you from yourself."__________________
"You sound jealous," he purred.
"Suck it, Fairy!"
"I don't plan to suck anything. I plan to lick it until it flows down my face. Now answer the question; are you jealous?" he continued.
(…..) "And if i was?"
"Are you?"
"If i was?"
"Are you?"
"Are we, what?" Ristan asked…__________________
"Lay with me, Pet. I'm in need of you."

"This is heaven, Synthia. Inside of you is my heaven,"
And let's not forget my other favorite character.. Ristan.. Damn, i want that demon! Funny as hell, he is! If Syn wasn't with Ryder, then, damn, i have to admit that i would then ship Ristan and Syn.. But i do ship their friendship! Ristan's relationship with Ryder is perfect! He isn't afraid to tell what is on his mind, even if it pisses Ryder off. He's pretty much the best friend anyone want to have..
"I like my head on my shoulders. If you so much as get a scratch on your delicate flesh, Ryder will remove it!"
I couldn't stop reading once i started on it, and damn, Escaping Destiny just became my favorite book of 2014, perhaps even favorite book of all time!
This book had literally everything a book should have, and more!
Amelia Hutchins is a brilliant author, who deserves tons of awards for this series! It's fucking amazing!
Again, all i can say now is that i'm still stunned at how perfect this book was!
And it kills me to know that we actually have to wait, FREAKING wait, for more of my Ryder and Syn..

Ryder is my Official Summer Book Boyfriend!!!
I LOVE HIM XOXO
“It may be between your legs, Pet, but make no mistake, this belongs to me. Understand?”
Ryder
Ryder is a man Obsessed!! Or should I say, an Obsessed Fairy. He can't get enough of Synthia. He has manipulated, tortured people, and killed, just to have her in his bed. But Destiny has other plans for Synthia. She is meant to be the Bride of the all powerful Horde King!!
The Horde King
The world of Fairy is dying and Ryder has been trying to save it. But what will he choose if he has to make a choice between saving his world, or saving the woman he desires above all others.
“She’s my fucking anchor, and no one will take her from me again, not even to save this world.”
Synthia
Not only is Synthia Sexy as Sin, she was once a Badass Assassin for the Witch Guild. That was before she discovered that she was a pawn, being manipulated by Ryder. But just when she is willing to admit that she cares for him, she is sent to the Horde King to become his Bride!!
Synthia accepts her fate, and becomes the plaything of the freaky Horde King!!! But what will happen when Ryder finally shows up. Will Syn still want him?
“I was going to fight to keep the elusive Horde King as my own. Every beauty needed a beast, and he was mine.”
“Chain of command, Synthia. I say it. You do it. End of chain, am I clear?”
Book three of this series was full of Action, Lusty sex, and Murder. This is a fast paced, ball of angst. Ryder loves Synthia. He is just in denial that his whole world revolves around her. I can't get enough of these two and the Freaky Sexual Horde King. I can't wait to see how this all will end in

*Spoilers*
This book was Amazing!!!! So the book starts right were Taunting Destiny left off Syn is being gifted to the Horde King. She is trapped no way out and worried that Ryder will get himself killed trying to save her from the Horde King. Things are looking really bad for Syn!
Holy Plot twist batman!!! I so didn't see that shit coming! It's 5% into the damn book and I am floored! And the plot twist just kept coming.
Ryder OMG I think I just fell in love with Ryder. He was so damn sexy, protective, powerful as fuck ,dominant , and Possessive, Damn if he didn't really try in this book to make Syn happy and be romantic. He is trying to see where she is coming from and is starting to give a little instead of always taking! Ryder really grows in this book, and nothing is sexier than a tough man falling hard for a woman. OH and he is one Panty melting , dirty talking beast!
"It may be between your legs, Pet, but make no mistake, this belongs to me. Understand?"
"Good girls get special kisses. Do you want to be kissed?"
"I'm going to fuck you so hard, and so deep that you will scream my name, Princess. Your body will tremble, your insides will melt, you will be wild with need, but you won't come, not until i allow it. I want you so fucking wild with lust that you beg me to come. That you will beg me to allow you to find release, and only then will i allow you to come on my tongue."
Syn came out swinging in this book. I didn't think she could get any better for me, but I was wrong.
Syn has always been Kick ass, but in this book she shows a softer and vulnerable side. She really fights for want she wants !
"You want me fine? Leave me alone for a minute. In the last few weeks I have watched my best friend be murdered right in front of me, I found out I wasn't human, I have been stabbed by Zahruk, almost blown up, given to the Dark Heir as his fiancee, Kidnapped, met my fairy fucking family, and now I'm a whore for the fucking Horde King! You want me to be okay? Then get the fuck back for five minutes!"
"I'm going to fight for him. He's my ever after, Adam. I'm willing to fight to keep him,"
"It fucking hurts! I can't breathe, Ryder, because of you! Before you I was fine. I was living. I could breathe and without you I can't! When Adrian died it hurt like hell, but I could breathe, damn it!"
God did I hurt with them. My emotions wow this book had me feeling everything. I loved Ryder and Syn's relationship in this book they are a lot more like a couple and you can see their love growing . They had a very cute playfulness in this book that I loved.
“She’s my fucking anchor, and no one will take her from me again, not even to save this world.”
“I was going to fight to keep the elusive Horde King as my own. Every beauty needed a beast, and he was mine.”
For real I am loving me some Ristan! This book consumed me from beginning to end, kept me on edge , was action and drama packed. Damn good read!!
Fav quote:
“I'm the fucking Horde King, I don't woo."
"Woo her," Ristan continues.
"I don't woo."
"Woo," he repeats.
"I'm not the kind of man to woo anyone. I can make her scream my name to the rafters, isn't that enough wooing?"
"Woo," Ristan smirks, which only served to irritate me more.
"Woo," I grind out on an exhale.
"Yes, woo," he says, already turning to walk away. I watch his shoulders quake with laughter.
"Woo," I growl.
"Woo!" He says over his shaking shoulders.
"Fuck me," I shake my head.
"No thanks, not my type...”
GOD I can't freaking wait for SD!!!!! If you have not read this series you should totally check it out!

Whoa... This novel surprised me, and as you can see by the score, not in a good way.
I have waited for this book like an alchie for happy hour. Wanted, no needed the next Hutchins novel! In just a few books this woman gave me whiplash with her plot twists, made me grind my teeth with the action and burned my retinas with her sensuality. She got an insta-fan!
Prior to this we left off with Syn being at the clutches of the Horde King the meanest, baddest guy around. I know, right???? And now we have Escaping Destiny. What does a hurricane say to the palm tree??? Hold on to your nuts, this isn't a regular blow job!!!! And if the previous books are anything to go by this one will be a spectacular ride in the world of the Fae. Right?
Sorry to say but wrong.....
I have expected so much more from the Horde. I mean....it's 'THE HORDE'! The Fae are stuff of nightmares for the humans, The Horde are stuff of nightmares for the Fae. I have expected fountains of blood, dark and dangerous enchanted castles, great halls filled with chilling monstrosities and with the Fae using sex to feed, the possibilities were endless.
Instead I got landed smack in the middle of an Lisa friggin' Kleypas novel. The main focus of this story was Syn trying to carve out her piece of heaven between all the concubines in the Horde King's harem. Not much more happened. Gone was the ass-kicking, take-no-shit, itchy Witchy and instead welcome the swoony, pining, angsty heroine in a full skirt. How in the fuck that happened?
From the previous novels we know how manipulative the Fae could be. By Hutchins' own words it's the Fae way. Did the women do something sneaky and clever to trap Syn??? Nop. They were whiney and openly bitchy. So no fun there, no conflicts and no action.
We are in the Fairie, how about spells and magic??? In the previous novels we had mind reading, manipulation, wards, poisoning, and all sorts of shenanigans. In this novel the magic is used to conjure nighties and up-does, sometimes even furniture. :( ??!!!
How about Ryder's men? That are protective, loyal and to the point, and will do everything to help heal the Fairie? They were honest with Syn before and held back no punches. Now they slowly became the leaders of the 'Cheer for Syn' parade.
And Ryder? He said so many times before. I am Fae, not human, I am the baddest motherfucker out there. In this novel, i didn't see it. He was pressed against the wall, stressed out and unable to deal with half the shit that came his way. In the end he wound up changing some of the ancient rules of the Fairie that he swore to protect. Big hit and miss there. After that he wasn't as Fae in my eyes as before, he was so much more human. Sadly. He lost all the otherworldly attributes of Ryder the fucking Fairy.
In the very beginning the lid is blown by Ryder coming clean to Syn. The end result is simple- there is no more mystery. We now know absolutely everything. There could have been many options to execute this story- switching between the Horde King and Ryder, keeping us on our toes. Is he??? Isn't he???? And a blank canvass for all the emotions that Syn might feel loving Ryder, and being attracted to the Horde King.
The great Goddess Danu was a character that was introduced solely for the info-dumps. Every time she shows up she winds up explaining herself and everything she does. There wasn't a feel of godliness about her, or agelessness. She was supposed to be the terrifying spirit of the Fairie, but read like a fairy godmother.
It simply lacked everything. I found myself constantly waiting for things to happen. Even the labyrinth tests were simple and predictable. There was one big fight scene at the end of it all that kinda kept it all afloat, but blew up in my face with Syn becoming half goddess uber-Fae. Everything seemed like it was handed to her on a platter and she didn't fight for anything. I wouldn't have waited for Ryder to change the laws about the marriage. Syn's higher up then Ryder's fiancee, right? The old ass-kicker would spend some of the time in the library looking for a way out and dunno, have a duel or something. She was a killer before, and now a deadly Fae, to combine those two things we should have been set for a fallout of massive proportions. Again by Hutchins' own words the Fae fight for what they want by proving they are the better mate. It would have been so much better if Syn got off her ass and did something about it herself. One more thing that seriously grated on my nerves was the fact that all her inability to do anything to help herself was placed down to her being hormonal....from the pregnancy...*grinds teeth*
I was just disappointed by the end of it all. It seemed so rushed and not at all a Hutchins novel. I understand the hardship that she must be feeling these days and the pressure from the fans. I mean she knew she had a winner on her hands with the very first novel, and her popularity just exploded leaving her to deal with a mass of 'Gimme-Gimmes' (myself included), but personally if i had to wait another 5 months to get the next book i would have, gladly, if the end result was different. The only reason for just a two star mark is this: Hutchins herself set a helluva high standard, and from her work we all know that she is more then capable of delivering. This novel however skated on the lines of cliche-hood the entire time. She is a brilliant new writer that has a chance of being one of the most popular writers of the genre out there. But this was not up to standards that she set. Still i am in her corner every step of the way and looking forward to the next one. There is so much talent in this woman, can't wait to see what happens next, and hope for the best. -
4 Look Inside The Beast Stars!!!
Every beauty needed a beast, and he was mine.
The 3rd installment in The Fae Chronicles, was hot, action packed and chocka-blocked full of my favourite fairy Ryder! After the mother of all cliffys at the end of Taunting Destiny I was in a state of near panic! The first couple of pages into Escaping Destiny and I was swearing like a sailor and just about to start balling like a baby!!! This was quite possibly the best intro I have ever read!
A lot of issues are cleared up in Escaping Destiny, which is why I feel like it's one of those necessary books. It was quite enjoyable but to be honest it paled in comparison to the first two books. Our characters Syn and Ryder are multi-faceted and we see one of those sides. Syn is still strong, obstinate and her personality compliments Ryder perfectly.
We're shown a different side of Ryder, have no fear he's still the original alpha male, but he's also caring, willing to compromise to be able to keep the woman he loves in his life. This was awesome but I do prefer douche nugget Ryder.
The children of faerie are dying, and Syn is part of the key to their salvation. There is also a powerful enemy that is hell bent on destroying faerie and it's people. We're given an incredible amount of information in this book, but again it was necessary.
Ryder and Syn's relationship blossomed and matured in this book, and seeing that this is PNR, I felt that it was surprisingly realistic. I have very high hopes for the next book, Seducing Destiny. Amelia Hutchins has a way with words, she grabs the readers attention doesn't let go till the end, and even then she leaves you wanting more! -
Bitches love big libraries.
In our last episode, we found out that Synthia was being given to the Horde King as a gift. The Horde King is known for torturing, maiming, raping, and killing his women. But, hey, Synthia's dad had promised to give her up to him... his hands are tied. Let the torture and raping begin!
Thanks, Dad!
Well, it's not a spoiler to tell you that Ryder is the Horde King. It is revealed pretty quickly. But, not quickly enough!! First, he makes sure that Synthia doesn't know it is him and scares the crap out of her. He also ties her up to rape her as his alter-ego before revealing who he really is. What a great guy! If my husband/boyfriend/enemy ever pulled this shit on me, he would no longer have the equipment necessary to play this rapey game that is somehow acceptable to Synthia.
That would be step one.. with the sharp stuff coming in next.
Oh, but don't worry, they are happily in love. Just one small detail, though.... Ryder is engaged to another woman, so Synthia only gets to be his concubine (that means whore, in case you didn't know). Hey, he's been betrothed since his birth, what can he do? He has to marry this other woman and have sex with her. It's his responsibility! His hands are tied. And, Synthia is such a bitch about it. Poor poor Ryder! So misunderstood. All he wants to do is marry another woman, have sex with her, keep a compound full of other concubines, and keep Synthia as his girl. Is that asking too much??
sleep with your eyes open, A-hole!
But, don't worry for our dear heroine because there is good news - the wonderful Horde King got her pregnant. What's worse than being a whore? Being a pregnant whore! And, these two winners are going to make great parents! Just look at what happens at their ultrasound appointment:
"There's a head.. and there's another one."
"Oh my God, my baby has two heads," I cried.
"Can he live like that?" Ryder asked.
So, the babies will be pretty and smart with these genes being passed down.
Also, Ryder has assured Synthia that she will be his Number One Concubine. Isn't that special? What a guy! This is a sweet romance. -
11/18/2018-- Finished my re-read!!! moving on to number 4! This is still an amazing 5 star series...
Amazing.. brilliant...beautiful... magical....sexy..... I could go on an on.. This series is just all consuming. I've been sucked into the world of fairy and I don't want to leave. The layers keep building and the surprises keep coming. We've not slowed down from page one of book one and each one gets better and better. I'm in awe of Amelia Hutchins ability to weave such detailed and imaginative story... Ryder and Syn are possibly one of my favorite all time couples.. their heat and connection is remarkable and the secondary characters add so much to the story.... This truly is an amazing series and I feel fortunate to have come upon it..
Now.. I need book 4 before I freak the hell out. -
I just don’t get it. The book is filled to the brim with toxic relationships, flat characters, overused words (“growl” appears 138 times, according to my iPad), and barely any plot, yet I’m still going to read the next one.
It’s baffling, but I’ll go with it. -
Title: Escaping Destiny
Series: Fae Chronicles #3
Author: Amelia Hutchins
Release Date: February 16th , 2014
Rating: 4.5 stars
Cliffhanger:. Yes
HEA:
Escaping Destiny was third book I’ve read by Amelia Hutchins and for the third time I fell in love with her storytelling. She like no other author of paranormal romance can make my heart beat so, so fast and my panties to magically melt off of me.
I adore how awesome her books are! Not only do I love the sexiness that oozes off it, but the simple beauty and complexity of the magical world she created. Every factor of the Fae Chronicles has a perfect spot and there is no thing I would change. Well, there is the fact that I would love for Ryder to be real, but it’s not something I can do *sigh*.
Anyway, from start to finish I was kept on my toes. The plot as always astounded me with it’s twists and turns and made me weak in the knees. This fast paced, action packed storyline didn’t give me a second to question anything. Like a mindless zombie I followed after Syn on her journey through dark, enchanting and extremely dangerous faery world and I loved every minute of it!
I can’t believe how amazing one series can be! The great part in it have kick ass characters that rock this book. With Synthia’s incredible stubbornness and witty personality and Ryder’s sex appeal and just the right amount of dominance, Fae Chronicles skyrocketed from good to absolutely out of this world amazing.
If you count on fairies being fairy tale’s creatures you are wrong. If you think that paranormal romance cannot be even in 50% as hot as contemporary with bad ass alpha male, you clearly haven’t met Ryder. Which means that you are missing out. Go do yourself a favor and start this incredible, sexy series that will shake and hopefully rock your world. If you have read previous books and still didn’t buy Escaping Destiny by all means Ryder is waiting for you!

WOW ...
I'm trying to think of what I can say.
I'm just ...
**takes deep breaths**
I've been reading this series for a couple days. I have lived and breathed these characters. I couldn't do ANYTHING but read once I started.
Moving was painful.
Having to attend to life was just not doable.
I became addicted.
I was completely CONSUMED, taken in every sense of the word. I literately walked around with some sort of reading device in my hands for THREE DAYS. One was always being charged. I rotated them. When I laid my head down at night I dreamt of these books, this world the author created. The first thought on my mind when I awoke was Ry, Syn, Ristan, Z, Adam and the cast of The Fae Chronicles.
This story was compelling, all consuming, magical, erotic and brilliant.
I'm hungover, still living in my Kindle with these SOUL SHATTERING characters.
I haven't felt this OWNED by a PNR series in a LONG time. I wish I could EXPRESS myself right now in a way that would make you run and buy these books.
I'm just... Shit, I'm emotionally exhausted, mentally drained, and physically shot, but craving more so bad.
THESE BOOKS ARE A DRUG!
A strong, brilliant drug, crafted so perfectly that every word had my heart strumming for more. The magic in the writing was breathtaking. The personality of the characters heartwarming.
IT'S EVERYTHING A SERIES SHOULD BE!
I can't wait to start on book 4!
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST PNR SERIES I HAVE EVER READ. I'll never forget it. -
”Every beauty needed a beast, and he was mine.”
I was anxiously awaiting this third installment in The Fae Chronicles because the last book left me frantic to find out what would happen to Syn with The Horde King. By 11 percent, all was well in my world and I was more than happy with the direction the author brought the story. Truthfully, from this point on the excitement kinda waned for me.
Syn is with the Horde King, pregnant and concubined. She spends a lot of time with my favorite Demon. She embarks on a quest with the group who are still trying to collect relics and she feeds a lot...
Syn’s true identity just keeps changes. By the end of the story, I think we have a good idea of who and what she actually is and who she will be to her love.
”I don’t want to be your world; I just want to be your favorite part of it.”
There are some snares in Syn’s hea and the fate of Faery and this story leaves in somewhat of a cliffhanger. I’m pretty positive that this world will be saved, Syn will embrace her true self and hopefully end up with my favorite faery!
”You have to trust what you are, and what you want the most, to find who you truly are.”
-
So Synthia is being gifted as a concubine to the Horde King as previously promised to preserve the fragile peace between the Horde and Blood kingdoms.
Syn is now placing faith in Ryder to ride to her rescue as her white knight before it’s too late.
But things aren’t always as they seem In Faery and Syn is In for some major shocks and reveals when her eyes are finally opened to the truth of it all and secrets are finally revealed.
So this one takes place predominately in the Otherworld as Syn tries to acclimatise to her new circumstances and condition.
She’s also struggling with her new reality and her place and importance in Ryder's life.
While Ryder himself really need to step it up before he unintentionally loses what’s most precious to him.
He really could take some lessons from his beast who himself knows exactly what it wants when it comes to there little pet.
It’s all about priority’s really and balancing the human and Fae culture and expectations that come along with it all.
Syn may now be fae herself but she has the heart of a human.
There are old and new Jealousies rising and trials to traverse and I really adored how close Syn is in this to Ristan or the Demon as she affectionately calls him.
He’s in a way taken on Adams responsibility’s as her closest confidant and he is ever so protective of his flower.
This one also seemed to have a more mystical vibe to it than its two predecessors.
Really enjoyed this a lot and with the war with the mages starting to take centre stage and looming on the horizon, things are really starting to intensify.

What really happened in this book?? A lot of sex and hardly any plot what a third book vibe. I guess I’m excited for the next book? It’s on my shelf so I’m gonna read it but I hope it has more plot twists and action or else I’m gonna end the series with that book!!

'Fate pushed us together, but destiny knew we belonged together.'
You find out in book 2 that Syn is pregnant and I was like Oh yeahh! Totally doing a happy dance coz I was just so happy that the baby was Ryder's!! And thankfully Adam and Syn didn't have to get married. All that caused me to dislike Adam but thankfully I didn't feel any anger towards him in this book and liked him as long as he isn't with Syn.
Hormonal Syn and an overprotective Ryder oh yeah this was so good!In this book Syn was in a more fragile state and things changed she isn't always the stubborn woman you met in book 1 and 2.You get to see a different side to Syn and it built her character..okay maybe I lied she is still stubborn as hell but instead of lying to herself about her feelings she learns to accept them and learns to fight for those she loves.
"Goddammit, Pet, See me!" He shouted as the walls shook around us.
You also see a different side to Ryder and we find out more about the Beast.I love the Beast ;) You see the Beast is much simpler than Ryder. He wants something, he takes it, he owns it he doesn't hold back on how he feels. Ryder is much more in-depth character who has trouble expressing his feelings at times. But in this book you see changes and both of the characters develop and grow.
Oh and before I forget Ristan is now one of my favourite characters! Yes he bloody rocks! I want a hot, hilarious Demon best friend..where can I find one? I had a soft spot for Ristan in book 1 and as the book went on I fell in love with him but in this book he became so much more. This book wouldn't be the same without him..actually this series wouldn't. He adds an element of perviness to the mix haha naww he is just brilliant I loved how he was helping Ryder and Syn with their relationship issues. And I am rooting for Danu and Ristan! You go get her boy ;)
If you are looking for a book filled with action, humour, sexiness, twists and turns leaving you craving for more this is definitely the book for you! I couldn't stop reading, yeah I read all through the night and then hated myself for reading so fast because I had finished it and now what? WHAT am I supposed to do now huh?
"This is heaven,Synthia.Inside of you is my heaven",he whispered so softly that I wasn't even sure he had said it.
Please, Please hurry with the next book, there is only so much this addict can take!

...and, I'm still whinging
I just re-read my original review below and I can't believe I'm still complaining about the same thing. I had planned to mention that I hate having to wait between releases. Yes, I've read the whole series so I shouldn't be so impatient; It's just that I love this series so much that I hate having to wait for more to come out.
The narrators do a good job but I have to admit that Sarah Puckett is my favourite of the two. I guess I had a different voice in my head when I think of Ryder.
Great to revisit, I just hope I don't have to wait too long for more of the audiobooks to be released. Can't you talk faster, Sarah and Craig. 😉
**********
Brilliant!
Wow, this author has mad skills, her books keep getting better.
I love everything about this series. There is action, adventure, intrigue and really hot sexy bits.
I only have one complaint, considering there are breaks between each release, I didn't feel her re-cap of previous events was thorough enough. I was excited to read this book, but got through a few pages and realised I had to go back to Taunting Destiny and read the last 20% again.
I love this series and will definitely be waiting patiently (not) for the next Fae Chronicles. -
“She’s my fucking anchor, and no one will take her from me again, not even to save this world.”
Escaping Destiny is the third book in The Fae Chronicles. This paranormal phenomenon continues to captivate me. I cannot seem to turn the pages fast enough! I am dying to know what will happen next!“He’s my drug of choice, and I don’t think there’s a rehab for it.”
Syn has been swept away to live at the mercy of the Horde King. Terrified of what her future holds, she is desperate for Ryder to rescue her. When the truth is revealed, she is completely dumbstruck. Ryder and Syn begin to grow and understand each other on a deeper level. In addition to the passion that has always bloomed between the two, now they learn all there is to know about each other and the crazy universe in which they live.“I’m not the kind of man to woo anyone. I can make her scream my name to the rafters, isn’t that enough wooing?”
Told in dual POV, I cannot recommend this series enough. In Escaping Destiny, the stakes are high for these two to come together and find a way. The dialogue flows fluidly as the tension rises for this couple. The plot is complex so it is imperative that you pay close attention to all of the characters and their relationships. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend reading this series from the beginning back to back. With action, passion, and tender romance, this paranormal romance certainly aims to please!
Overall, Escaping Destiny is an absolute must-read for Fae Chronicles fans. Syn and Ryer is one couple that has found permanent residency in my "favorite epic couple shelf".

4 Beauty & Beast Stars
Every beauty needed a beast and he was mine.
Against all odds, or just following their destinies Ryder and his Syn are still fighting enemies, unraveling mysteries and unburying secrets. Passionate and hotter than ever, they are going through hell and back to save a couple of worlds, satisfy cryptic Goddesses and undo past mistakes.
So many feelings, so much in love with this FUCKING FANTASTIC SERIES!
But now the waiting for the next begins and my heart is breaking...
Side-note
If this book had one extra hero, a second star, a third wheel, a man that managed to steal Ryder's thunder even just a little, this is Ristan. Hilarious, arrogant, alpha male extra-ordinaire, I need to find out more about my favourite Demon... -
It's Live!!!!

4 - Fuckin Fairy! - Stars
AGHHHHHH!!! SQUEAL!!! Synthia and Ryder!! Love them together!!! A few new developments have occurred since our last book and let me tell you I think it was written out brilliantly! I really like the direction this story is taking.
At the end of the last book I was scared for what was to come in this book…We left off the last book with Synthia being sent to the Horde as the payment for her brother Liam.
But luckily Ryder came through to save the day!
"Goddammit, Pet, See me!" He shouted as the walls shook around us.
Thank Goodness! I was freaking out for a minute there!
"Fate pushed us together, but destiny knew we belonged together."
I was hoping Synthia would kick his ass for everything he put her through though.
Synthia is trying to learn how to fit in in the wonderful Horde Kingdom. She makes many friends, but also has a few enemies. Claire (aka super bitch!) I kept waiting for them to throw down.
Syn is lonely and misses of course Adam and Adrian, but is making do with what she can and Ristan is a great companion to her. I absolutely LOVE HIM!! Best Demon BFF ever!
So what direction do they go from here? Is everything already planned out by Danu? Do they have the free will to change things? Will they be able to save Faery themselves?
"You choose which path you take to get to the end. But in the end, you are where destiny wanted you to be."
While Synthia and Ryder try to figure out how to save the kingdom of Faery from the evil mages, they also try to work on their relationship. Finally Synthia gets to meet Ryder’s beast in the flesh. And she gives him a run for his money.
"Every beauty needed a beast, and he was mine."
Beast
Ryder
And the sex with Synthia and beast mode Ryder? Hot. HOT HOT!
"This is heaven, Synthia. Inside of you is my heaven."
Problems arise in their relationship because Ryder is under contract to marry awful Claire’s sister! What should Syn do??
"I can fight for love, Demon. I just won’t compete for it. I shouldn’t have to."
Who from the other kingdoms will ally with them to save Faery? They need to figure it out and soon!
So since I enjoyed this book what the 4 rating? Well I do feel that this was somewhat of a filler book and also I still had the problem with too much repetition of what was happening. It was still a very enjoyable read though! -
Oh oh oh myyyy.... It has a COVER!!!
and I LOVE it!
release date: end of February??
waiting... anxiously... waiting...

4.25 I totally called it stars!
This series is clearing addicting. I’ve read the first three books back to back and I’m getting ready to read the next book.
The thing that I enjoy most about this series is that the characters progress and change for the BETTER with each book. I really do love that. I also love that the main storyline is Ryder and Synthia because it is a love tory right?
Synthia is in the Horde kingdom and it’s so awesome reading about her in the place and above all, pregnant! Gah, I love a pregnant Heroine. I love how everyone fusses over and I love all the crazy pregnant emotional rants she goes through. It’s cute, adorable and endearing.
I love how the side characters become more and I love Synthia’s relationships with the elite guards, I’m looking forward to their books.
There’s a lot that goes on with politics, steam and where do Ryder and Syn come to play? Well, everything will be answered and then some. -
Just keeps getting better..i love the twists and the turns.
Ryder is falling in love.. he just doesn't know it yet! I love how possessive he is with Syn.
Syn, unfortunately has lost her kick-ass mainly because she has 'something' to protect..but i live it that she gives it as good as she gets it.
I skimmed through a little bit here and there, felt draggy at times. However i need to know more.
Off to read the last bit. -
I can't believe I'm gonna say this but enough with the sex. Ok, he is hot, he can enlarge his dick at will, but can you please keep your hands to yourself for a minute and let the plot progress?!
I really liked the first book. The heroine was strong and confident, but sadly, her character deteriorates after that. He, on the other hand, continues to be sexy-as-hell, ubermacho, insensitive and in need of a thorough ball-cutting.
So, why do I continue with this series and even give them 3 *? Well, because I can't stop! I'm dying to know what happens next. And also, apart from his willy, other parts enlarge as well and he can use his magic to do some pretty weird stuff.
This book proves that I have a split personality disorder. -
5 ++++++++++++++++ STARS !!!
“Every beauty needed a beast, and he was mine.”
OMG…This is one of the most interesting stories I have ever read! These three books are amazing. Every single one of them! I am so glad I started this series…turns out they became one of my absolute favorite.
So…Syn is presented as a gift to the Horde King. Well...not exactly as a gift but close enough (there is a contract and everything). She has no choice but to go to him with the only hope that her ‘Prince Charming’ will find a way to save her. And as you know…Ryder always delivers!
The best thing about the book is that we finally get some closure. We learn who (what) Ryder is and all his secrets. We (almost) learn who (what) Syn is. They both will embrace their own destinies and hope at the end they will bring them together.
I admit…as much as I love Ryder…there were times when he was just pissing me off. I get that he wants to save his world and this is his main priority…but come oooon!!! At least he managed to win me all over again after that. ;)
“Woo her,” Ristan continues.
“I don’t woo.”
“Woo,” he repeats.
“I’m not the kind of man to woo anyone. I can make her scream my name to the rafters, isn’t that enough wooing?”
“Woo,” Ristan smirks, which only served to irritate me more.
“Woo,” I grind out on an exhale.
“Yes, woo,” he says, already turning to walk away. I watch his shoulders quake with laughter.
“Woo,” I growl.
“Woo!” He says over his shaking shoulders.
“Fuck me,” I shake my head.
“No thanks, not my type…”
I loved Ristan in this book. He is so refreshing, funny and loyal. I hope we see more of him in the next book. I can’t wait to read it!!!!!!! -
As always, I am in complete fan mode entering this world with these characters. They are the absolute best.
First half of the book was a bit slow for my liking. Especially since Syn always keep a action packed pace. I do however LOVE the drama part. I LIVE for the drama parts. So good😍
Ristan and Syns friendship is so precious, and I love how Ryder and Syn interacts and have their little fights.
The last half of the book was beyond amazing. We got action, we got a “quest”, we got Syn and her badass self back. Syn is BEST, when she is badass. We also got a lot more explained, and it made the world that Hutchins has created even more special. Cannot wait to continue with these characters. As usual Hutchins writes with a swift and compelling pace, and let me say one more thing. She seriously knows how to bring hot sex to life. Damn. 🔥
Read: 14/08/2019
1st rating: 4 stars
Genre/sub-genres: Paranormal/ romance/ Fae/ Demons/ shifters/ vampires/ magic
Cover: 3 stars
POV: Dual 1st person (Mainly Syn and Ryder got a few pages here and there)
Will I recommend: Yaaaas, read it in the sun like me☀️ -
Jilly’s review says it best.
Basically it’s the male mc being a douche and the female being hormonal. I like the secondary characters and plots. Could definitely do with less sex scenes. There’s practically one a chapter. It gets really boring. -
“You have to trust what you are, and what you want the most, to find who you truly are.”
Wow!
I admit, I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with this series. Aspects of the previous books have annoyed me, and I have a few issues with the writing, but the story is just so damn addictive! And things take a huge twist in this book, and it all starts to become just a little bit awesome!
This book picks up immediately after the ending of
Taunting Destiny, continuing to build the tension from where the story left off, but the resolution of the cliffy comes pretty early on. I’m happy to say that even though I picked the big bombshell, it didn’t diminish the excitement of the moment for me, and from that moment on, I was sucked right in.
With brand new insight into who she is, Synthia is thrust into yet another new world, and quickly sets about finding her place. She encounters obstacles along the way, but starts to accept her new life, and comes to realise exactly what it is that she wants, and then stands strong while fighting hard to claim it.
Oh yes, the feels are getting more intense as Syn and Ryder falls even harder for each other. And we’re finally starting to get some swoony stuff!“One way or another, I’d have come for you. Fate pushed us together, but destiny knew we belonged together. Now you just have to accept it”
As they come to understand their importance to each other, Syn and Ryder finally start to open up to each other, and as a result their relationship becomes more functional. Even big, badass Ryder starts to show his emotional side! We got to see the beginnings of the depth of his feelings for Syn in the last book, and I loved getting to see more of that as he realises exactly what she means to him and acknowledges that – both to himself and to others. I loved it!“She’s my fucking anchor, and no one will take her from me again, not even to save this world.”
“She’s mine, all mine. She’s my little freak in bed. My submissive to my inner control freak. She comes out of that perfect little shell and becomes my everything. My world.”
Ryder is such a badass! And his dominance and need for control translates over to the bedroom, and HOT. DAMN!!! There is sooooo much sex in this book! It’s full on, it’s explicit, it’s a little bit nasty and it’s hot as hell! Ryder has some incredible moves – and when you throw his magic into the mix it all of a sudden seems very unfair to be human. He also has a wickedly filthy mouth, and likes to keep things dirty. And way to go Syn, for keeping up with him!“Bend me over, pull my hair, whisper more dirty things that will make me tremble with need, Ryder, and then fuck me like you mean it. Fuck me like I am the air you need to live. I don’t want to be your world; I just want to be your favorite part of it.”
And oh yeah, can he deliver!“You like me buried deep inside your sweet flesh?”
Another yes is screamed from her lips.
“Then come for me. Show me how much you like it. Come fast and hard, so I can fuck your sweet flesh harder.” I release her hands and hair, and watch as she crumbles to the bed. Fuck, she’s a goddess!
Phew! *fans self*
I also need to take a moment to celebrate the awesome that is Ristan. I freakin’ love that demon! Crude, sarcastic, and dirty, he is absolutely hilarious, but also has a heart of gold. He is a big part of this book, and I loved every moment with him - particularly his bantering with both Ryder and Syn.“Here,” he said, handing me one of several short swords from beneath his cloak. “Now just because I’m letting you touch my sword and play with it, Flower, doesn’t mean we’re dating and shit. Don’t go getting the wrong impression here. I like my balls. Ryder would be having them for dinner if he thought there was something going on between us. Now, I know the lure of a Demon is strong, but this shit between us? It’s platonic. I like you, and even though the allure of swapping spit between us is appealing, fight it.”
“Seriously, Demon, you’re so full of it,” I said, shaking my head as he grinned from ear to ear.
“C’mon, admit it. You like me,” he said…
“Oh I like you, but I like you better from a safe distance,” I replied with a wide grin.
“Come on, admit it, you want me.”
“Dream on, Demon.”
The romance is definitely more of a focus in this book, but with battles, riddles, plots and scheming, once again this book is full on from start to finish. And OMG, there are some massive reveals! Right when you think you finally understand what is going on, yet another bomb gets dropped, leading up to the epic game changer right at the end. It’s going to have big implications for the rest of the series, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.
I really enjoyed this one. 4 stars.

Syn was taken by the Horde King to fulfill the contract. She's trying to do her part but all she wants is Ryder. He said to look for him but where is he?
I'm still really enjoying Syn and Ryder. Every time I get frustrated by Syn, especially when she gets whiny, I just try to remember how young she is and everything she's gone through. Ryder can be infuriating too especially with some of the things he says to Syn. But then we get his POV and I love hearing what all he feels for Syn.
Believe it or not, the sex gets even steamier! The Beast part was bordering on a bit weird but it still worked.
There are more intense and emotional scenes in this book with what's happening with Syn and the contract for Ryder. Plus we get to learn a lot more about Syn and when she finally comes into her powers. The scene with Ristan was a bit tough.
I really liked that we are finally getting some answers and that things are coming together. Not sure how many more books are planned but I can't wait to see where things go from here. When is the next book coming out??
