Who is the ghostly writer?
What does she want?

Jodie (The Book of You #1) Reviews

  • Get Ahead Kids

Jodie and her best friends Rania and Deyana have just started year six and things are hectic! Jodie is struggling to come to terms with her parents' divorce and the idea of having a step-mum and step-sister, and to make matters worse, she also has an anonymous online bully to deal with.

Foremost in Jodie's issues is when the girls discover a mysterious book in the school library that seems to write personal messages only to Jodie. What does the book want, and why is it writing to Jodie?

This is the first book in a series of four that is written for young female readers. Readers will identify with the characters and the strong themes of friendship and family.

  • Renelle

It was ok, but I'm not the target audience which probably really impacted on my reading . Young girls should give it a try.

  • Mimes

This book was soooo good! I started it today and it was so awesome I just couldn't put it down, so I finished it today! I 100% recommend this book for 5/6s and 12+ year olds like me

i remember being obsessed with this book in grade 4/5, i literally copied one of the poems in it and saved it to my computer so i could read it?? something about blood being thicker than water... i don't even know

  • Eliza

This was a fun easy read mostly because it is for middle schoolers Bahah, reading it brand back memories of being in year 6/7 which was kinda traumatic but slay. Reread: I only read this to reminisce childhood tbh

  • Sean Harding

Abdel-Fattah for younger readers is ok but not the same resonance as her fiction for older readers.

  • Robyn

Blah blah, same old, same old...

  • Charlotte

It's opposite with me and my friend Jodie is short and very nice but I'm Charlotte who is tall and not mean.
