Lillie lost her family through sickness and her abusive husband and thief disappeared leaving her penniless. Six years have passed and she is still alone, her only companion is God. Ready for a new start she prays to God for a new begging and God answers through a dream. She needs to find the Mountain Man and take care of him.
Matthew owns a ranch. He lives his life in Penitence. Guilt and loneliness are his daily bread. Nothing makes him happy or content. He made a terrible decision, his family died, and people from the town too. Leaving him more alone, when the people turn their back on him.
Lillie has a mission, the Mountain Man (Matthew). She needs to restore his faith and let him see that he can live without guilt.

A Well Developed Story
Definitely could use additional editing but it's a well developed story that is an interesting read. The characters are developing throughout the story and realism is real. -

I enjoyed seeing how God was able to use Lillie to rekindle Matthew's faith in him. This really was a good story. -

I have read several books by Chloe Carley. I have enjoyed them all, but the story line was different and I fully enjoyed the book
