Knight Terrors: Wonder Woman (2023) #1 Reviews
-
It says it's Wonder Woman but it's really more like Justice League Dark.
Not that there's anything wrong with that...
Wonder Woman and Detective Chimp seem to go under at the same time. And as they were both asleep and being protected by
Zatanna in her Knight Terrors issue, that makes sense.
Constantine pops up and the three of them try to navigate their way out of the Nightmare Realm together.
THEY MUST NOT GET SEPARATED!
Of course, they get separated.
This is one of those weird books that have great art in some panels that don't quite match the art in others. I don't know if I'm describing that right.
Overall, I really liked it, though.
At the end of this issue, you also get a short about what's happening to Nubia on Paradise Island.
Nubia and the Well of Horrors.<--part one
Looks as though the Amazons aren't protected from bad dreams.
I don't know much about Nubia, except she's the new Queen of the Amazons, and this short didn't give me any new information. She looks cool, though.
I like the Justice League Dark, but your mileage may vary with this one. -
Not bad, could have used some more editorial polish. It really is more of a Justice League Dark story than a full on Wonder Woman comic.
-
Slightly disappointing, unfortunately. I wanted more.
Some interesting ideas, but this one was messy. Too many threads and not enough logic.
Really enjoyed the dream realm here, though, with the mythology coming through.
Artwork was okay, but not my fave. A bit too washed out for my tastes.
Some neat moments but ultimately I wanted more from my girl. -
Fantastic. The artwork and writing are top notch.
-
Unexpectedly fun
Trying to catch up on the many unread comics on my Kindle, and I decided to go with Wonder Woman, "Knight Terrors #1." New magic-based villain has put the world to sleep, and cast their souls into realm where a persons nightmares and worst fears can kill them. Issue 1 was quite fun. -
Phenomenal issue
Diana and Bobo are with John Constinene vs the Nightmare realm.
So of course they get separated.
Nubia vs Gaia is the second story.
Phenomenal artwork and writing.
Read this issue! -
Great introduction to her storyline, and by "Great introduction to her storyline" I mean I'm happy that John Constantine is in this book so I can technically read about someone else while still interacting with the most significant comic book character ever created.

I loved this one!! Diving into Wonder Woman’s head and meeting up with Bobo (I believe that’s the chimp’s name. Correct me if I’m wrong) and Constantine was pretty cool! I wasn’t expecting to see Constantine. It was pretty cool!
-
4.5. Maybe one of my favourite knight terrors tie ins. Justice league dark was a good edition to the book.
-
Decent enough story, loved Constantine being in it, but it was very short.
-
2.5. I really wanted to give it a 3 but it was eh at best. Cool seeing Constantine and things, but it was kind of boring. Wasn't about Wonder Woman much either.
