    4 Jack Henry stars!!!

    description

    We began as strangers- as most couples do- but our beginning was so much more complicated.

    *Spoiler Alert* If you haven’t read the first two books in the series and you’re planning to, stop reading now. There will be lots of spoilers for books 1 & 2.

    Beauty from Love begins the day after Jack Henry and Laurelyn say I do. They are happy, in love, and enjoying their honeymoon. It’s a very sweet and sexy beginning. They both are ready to start their life together as husband and wife, but Jack Henry wants to add a child to the mix. And sooner rather than later.
    I once thought I didn’t want a wife and kids but it was because I hadn’t met the right person. Everything is different now- I’m married to the perfect woman and I can’t wait until she becomes the mother of my children.

Laurelyn is hesitant. She wants to be what Jack needs, do what he wants, but she feels it's a little soon to bring a baby into the mix. She’s nervous about being a mother, especially after the crap parents she has. Even with all her reservations, more than anything, she just wants to make Jack Henry happy.

    description

    Things are all good, until some of Jack’s past indiscretions come back to bite him. No matter where they go, it seems like someone from his past is there to haunt them. It’s very taxing on their relationship. Laurelyn tries to be understanding, but it’s hard not to get fed up when they keep coming out of the woodwork. At one point, she actually screams at JH (probably my favorite line of the book): “WHY YOU ALWAYS GOTTA FUCK THE CRAZY ONES?”. It’s true, right? Jack Henry wants nothing more than for his past to go away and to start his future the right way. It’s only ever been L for him and he needs her to know that, to believe that.

    description

    Laurelyn isn’t happy about all thats transpired, but she’s in it for the duration. Jack Henry is her husband and she will always stand by his side.
    “I love you and I’m not going anywhere. I’m here as long as you want me.”

Jack Henry and Laurelyn don’t have the easiest start to their marriage, but they are so in love with one another and completely devoted, they’d do anything to make it work. Jack Henry... I still love him. He’s that perfect sweet/sexy/alpha man mix. He’s just incredibly swoony. I like Laurelyn a lot, but even more- I love them as a couple. I enjoyed the third and final book of the Beauty series. I’m not sure if there needed to be an entire third book. The two got their HEA in book 2, but it was still a good read. I didn’t love it as much as the first two, but it happens. Overall, the series is amazing! If you haven’t read it, I would def recommend picking up book one and meeting Jack Henry McLachlan.

    “You were once my beauty from pain, before you became my beauty from surrender. Now you’ve adapted into something different once again.”

“And what is that?”

“My beauty from love- Forever.”

    Okay I do not really know where to begin. I love Jack Henry and Laurelyn. They are my ALL TIME, HANDS DOWN, FAVORITE book characters of all time. Jack Henry is the definition of a sexy, alpha male, and Laurelyn has a spark in her you couldn’t help but love. Beauty From Pain is my ALL TIME favorite romance read and totally kicks Fifty Shades of Grey in the butt! I enjoyed Beauty From Surrender... not as well but Jack Henry really stepped up and swooned me in every way possible. I couldn’t wait for JH and L’s HEA in Beauty From Love.

    My Jack Henry :)

    Beauty From Love begins the morning after the wedding of two love birds. It picks up right as they are going on their honeymoon and have crazy honeymoon sex… like all the time. It was hot and sexy but I was honestly a bit tired of the sex. It was ALL they seemed to do. I felt like the first 20% of the book was just sex… but whatever I know they are in love and I was waiting for the book to begin to pick up into a story.

    The chapters alternate between JH & L’s POV. I loved getting into both their heads especially because Laurelyn had major issues that she did not express to Jack Henry who thought everything was hunky-dory. There was some very sweet, heart touching scenes that made me fall in love with Jack Henry even more (if that was even possible). He just told his heart out to L about what he wants. There were even a few really great 5 Star scenes… one in particular of a scene on New Year’s Eve that was so real, truthful, exciting; a highlight of the book for me.

    The author did a great job giving the reader what they want for JH & L but also not being cliché’ and too obvious to the typical third book in series that us readers are use to. My big complaint is that I felt the book threw too much at giving me different storylines and conflicts when I would have liked one major problem rather than different problems all coming out. I just felt it was too much and felt like everything was resolved too quickly and on to another problem….with so many issues I kept thinking “Yeah right!” at times. It was just too much!

    I love the series and I highly recommend it to readers, I just didn’t love this book like the first two. I am glad they got their ending and I will miss Jack Henry so much but their story is done.

    I give Beauty From Love (Beauty #3), 3 Stars.

    4,5 Beautiful Stars.

    In this final installment we have Jack Henry and Laurelyn right after their wedding.
    They are ready to start the rest of their lives, form a family and do the whole “happily ever after” thing.
    But things aren’t always as we want them to be and soon they will find out that still are a lot of issues to overcome, being Jack’s past one of the biggest.
    So things like starting a family, ex-girlfriends and ex-boyfriends issues will all have a part in this book and they will all contribute to define the beginning of their lives.

    description

    This was a beautiful book, although there was “something” missing. Probably because near the end the amount of unnecessary drama diminished and the book just got slightly dull. And let’s be real: we love unnecessary drama. That’s why we love to read sequels.
    Other than that, despite being predictable and expected it was a sweet and beautiful ending to their story. And after all that happened in the previous books, one we needed to read.

    description

    Rating: 4,5 Stars.
    Storyline: A little predictable and cheesy sometimes but beautiful and engaging.
    Writing Style: First person. Dual POV. Highly addictive, as always.
    Character Development: Jack Henry is a little mushy sometimes, but we love him anyway. Laurelyn annoys a little, especially regarding Jack’s past, I mean, she knows everything about it and still her reactions seems exaggerated every time.
    Steam: Pretty hot.

    **There might be some spoilers**

    This is the 3rd book in the Beauty series and IMO...the best one!
    What started out as proposition to Laurelyn...to be Jack's companion for the next 3 months, or in simpler terms...his fuck-buddy. Neither expected to have feelings for the other and in those 3 months something changed...
    There were 13 others before her...but now there will be no number 14 for him. Ever.
    They began as strangers...and here is a little of their story ♥

    This book is love perfection. The ending to a absolutely wonderful story of Jack Henry and Laurelyn. It is their HEA and boy does Georgia Cates deliver. There are books that you read and love to death- this series is one for me. I love that Jack Henry has gone from man whore to a man that loves a woman with all his heart and soul. His love for L is beautiful, endearing, sexy, wholehearted, true, and to me perfection. L has some issues with Jack Henry's past but she always recognizes that in the end, he chose her and only her. There are snags along the way for them, but Jack Henry is there 150% for L.
    He is...Omigod. Best. Husband. Ever.

    The Beauty Series by Georgia Cates is an amazing series. Though I loved book 1 & 2 just a bit better, I still adored Beauty from Love. Jack Henry and Laurelyn will always be one of my favorite couples and while I love Jack Henry, Laurelyn stole the show for me in this book. I thought Laurelyn was just perfect. She rose to all the challenges that their new life together brought her way. Jack Henry continued to be his sexy self but I didn’t get my caveman fix as I expected to.

    Beauty from Love begins with Jack Henry & Laurelyn off on their honeymoon. The connection between these two has only grown stronger. There is no doubt that they love each other completely. The passion they have for one another is was precious.

    The first 30% was a bit slow but it did bring me all sorts of happiness. The sex was steamy as usual and I love how both of them share themselves so easily. Jack Henry wants to give Laurelyn everything and when they start talking about their “swarm”, it was perfect. I just had a stupid grin on my face imaging little Jack’s and mini Laurelyn’s running around. Too cute!

    Jack Henry and Laurelyn have that perfect honeymoon then return to spend the holidays with Jack Henry’s family. I just love Margaret. Bringing Laurelyn into the family fold was so natural for her and it just made my heart melt. Margaret is witty, sweet and is the mom that Jolie could never be to Laurelyn. Her and Jack’s relationship is great.

    As Jack and Laurelyn slip into their married life, all seems to be going along marvelously until Jack’s past starts to seep into their lives and threatens their happiness. They knew they could not erase his past but would their love be strong enough to make it through the little storms that start to form.

    Laurelyn’s trust in Jack is tested. Can she truly put the women of his past behind her and have complete faith in Jack. She will have to decide whether it will break them apart or make them stronger. And it isn’t only Jack’s past that surfaces again. When the events that happened between Blake and Laurelyn resurfaces, Jack makes a decision without her knowing and things get a little tricky.

    What I loved most about Beauty from Love is that we watch Laurelyn and Jack Henry shift rolls a bit. Laurelyn grows stronger and becomes the protector. Not only is she a fighter she will do anything it takes to protect her family and stand by those she loves. Jack Henry learns how to let go of things and realizes he cannot protect Laurelyn from everything. They figure out how to face their challenges together even if it is not easy. Their family, friends and future is what matters the most and all else can just fall away.

    My thoughts on the Epilogue are simple. ღI. LOVED. IT!ღ

    This book picks back up where book two ended. Jack Henry and Laurelyn have just married, and are leaving for their honeymoon. They have a magical honeymoon, and then return home, to spend their first Christmas as a married couple with his family. I really love Margaret McLachlan. She is an amazing, kind, loving mother in law. She gives excellent advice, and cracks me up with all her talk about "nookie."

    Jack Henry and Laurelyn are enjoying life as a married couple, but some unexpected drama from the past comes their way. They deal with their problems as a team, and don't let anyone or anything get in the way of their happiness. They have come a long way since book one. Especially Jack Henry. I have loved seeing his transformation from the ultimate bachelor, to dreamy, swoonworthy husband. There is nothing more beautiful than Jack Henry in love! He has finally found the woman that completes him.

     photo afb08fed-7242-4e03-8b9d-5a939913fa8f.jpg

    I have really enjoyed the journey of Jack Henry and Laurelyn falling in love. They are one of my all time favorite couples! Can't get much better than a sexy, gorgeous, romantic Aussie, and his American sweetheart! I adored the epilogue, and felt this series was completed to perfection! :D

    -Laurelyn is absolutely the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. I can't believe I get to call her mine forever.

    -She gives me a come-hither motion with her finger and I obey. I have no choice because I'm hers to do with as she pleases. This woman owns me completely.

    -"I never imagined myself loving a woman the way I love you. You changed my everything."

    -I've never felt a moment like this with anyone, and I love it. I want her to see all of me.

    -It's true. I couldn't help myself from falling in love with this woman. When she took my hand, I willingly gave her my whole life.

    ***SOME SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT READ THE SERIES***

    -Please read Beauty from Pain first! ^^^

    Alas, the best book in this series was the first one. Beauty from Pain was something special and the following books have not lived up to it (in my opinion).

    To be fair, I am not one for the lovey-dovey happily together romances, I love intrigue and angst. That preference fits perfectly with the first book but not books 2 and 3.

    Beauty from Pain picks up right after Beauty from Surrender with Jack Henry and Laurelyn on their honeymoon. Big Surprise! (Not really) she gets knocked up. Like every other book in NA with a marriage plot where one character wants a baby and the other doesn't. They continue with their boring, cheesily happy married life and basically live happily ever after.

    Now I make it sound like I hated this book, but I didn't. I maintain that Georgia Cates is a fantastic author and I would happily read any of her other books, and will probably reread Beauty from Pain in the future, but I felt like I already read this plot in other NA romances. To me, this book tied up loose ends that did not need tying.

    But really, read Beauty from Pain by this author, it's AMAZEBALLS!!!

  • Jacqueline

    Meh...this was essentially an extended epilogue. Now, I love epilogues, but when they go on for hours then my excitement seriously droops. I've even been known to skim read smutty scenes - there's only so many times I can read about them exploding together in perfect harmony before my eyes start rolling. And they were rolling away reading this I'm afraid for this, the third in the series about Laurelin and Jack Henry comprised smut, various run ins with toxic exes, smut, more smut, awkward conversations with the MIL, even more smut interwoven with a lesson in gynecology and a splattering of bodily excretions. And Jack Henry was so much sexier to me before he was so thoroughly pussy trained. Just sayin'

    While I enjoyed finding out about their family life, a decent, shorter epilogue would've been just fine for me.

    Sweet and saccharin but perhaps not for the squeamish this one.

    “I never imagined myself loving a woman the way I love you. You changed my everything.”

    Ohhhhh…Jack!!! I love this guy!

    The epic romance between Jack McLachlan and his wife- Laurelyn continues in this final installment of The Beauty Series. They are married and starting their happily ever after. Everything seems fine…until Jack’s past comes back to haunt them. Their love is being tested one more time.

    “I love you, L, far more than I think you know, and I swear I’m going to do better so I can be the kind of husband you deserve.”

    I absolutely love this couple. Jack is simply AMAZING!!! However…I found this last book a little bit boring. I found myself seriously struggling to continue reading at some parts. That been said…I don’t regret it because their love story is sweet and beautiful.

    If you haven't read this series...I highly recommend to start it as soon as possible ;)

  • Mindy Lou's Book Review

    I really liked this series. It was a bit over dramatic but it reminds me very much like 50 Shades of Grey and some of the others series that were very popular a few years ago. I think if I had read this back then, this would have been a 5 star read for me but I think over the years, I have learned to love the drama a bit less. I will definitely read more form this author. I also recommend the audiobook versions. The narraters did a really good job and I enjoyed listening to the books.

    Thank God that's done. I truly loved Lauralynn & Jack Henry in the first book, but it's slowly faded as the books passed. Authors need to decide when to call it quits, not every series needs to be a trilogy. Once they start w/the "I love you"'s and "your my wife/husband" every five seconds, the magic has disappeared for the reader, in my opinion. I'm glad they got their HEA, but honestly didn't need the play by play of their baby saga. Also, Lauralynn, get over yourself, your husband has a past you are very well aware of, deal with it! I forced myself to finish this one but it was a struggle at times. It didn't suck, I was just over them about half way through.

  • Susan Gold

    I can't wait for the third installment. I loved the first two books.

  • Anne OK

    Enough already! Once again, there’s an overload of sexual encounters and not enough ‘splaining going on. I had high hopes that Georgia Cates would give this the final book in the series a little more depth and some decent dialogue interaction between Jack and Laurelyn.

    The alternating POVs allow readers to delve into the thoughts of both characters which was a real plus since so much time was spent on the bedroom theatrics. Still both characters are fun-to-read and their chemistry is off the charts. The plot was good but it could have been excellent. Readers are left with some unresolved storylines and unanswered questions that a good editor or beta reader should have brought to the author’s attention.

    Readers will be happy that these two get their happily-ever-after including a very well-done epilogue five years into their future.

    A case of could have/should have been on that five-star list – but sadly didn’t make it leading to a big disappointment for this reader.

    Perfection! That's the first thing that comes to mind when describing this book. It truly was perfection from start to finish. It had that even scale of balance that I love between telling a wonderful heartfelt story, yet still had amazing hot sex! The sex was never overdone, or not enough….It was just right as it was.

    I love Jack Henry. I've loved him from the beginning in "Beauty from Pain" & you just continue falling for him more & more as you get to know him. And by the time you get to "Beauty from Love" you see how he's evolved from the sexy wealthy wine vineyard playboy to the charming, loving, protective husband. He always did the right thing I felt in here or said just the thing needed at the right time. I adored him! And his sense of humor & his naughty mouth are always some of my favorites ;)

    And then Laurelyn. I always felt like i could relate to her. And she's one of my fav female book characters because she's not one of those whimsy, whiny, sit in the background type of characters. She always stands up for what she believes in. She stays true to herself. I thought a few times in here she jumped to a few wrong conclusions too quickly concerning jack henry and his past women. But then again I don't blame her! lol When almost everywhere you go past ex lovers of your husband keep reappearing & trying to breakup your marriage of course your going to be defensive and on edge some of the time. I still remember in the beginning when her & Addison were just visiting Australia to have fun. And then to see how far they've come with Laurelyn and Jack Henry. And Addison & Zac.

    Jack Henry's Mother Margaret is another character I love too. She's so funny, witty, fun, & just a down to earth person. She seems like such an amazing mom. She like the matriarch of the McLachlan family. Larelyn's parents on the other hand disgusted me majority of the time how they treated her. They've really never been there for her and it looks like that how it'll always be with them.

    The sex was amazing! It varied sometimes it was really smoldering and hot. And other times still incredibly sexy but had this romantic sensual I-cherish-you feel to it that I loved as well. I didn't want this book to end because it was put together so perfectly to me!

    I truly loved this trilogy! And it will go down as one of my favorites. And I'll miss you Jack Henry. With your dirty talk, sweet gentleman ways and hot fun times down under in Australia. 5 STARS!!

    Spoilers Below

    I guess that is the kind of series where the first book is good, and the cliffhanger makes us want to read the rest of the series, but truly, we already know the end of the series at the end of the first book.
    As soon as I knew that they were both in love, I basically knew how this was going to end up.
    Here my friends is the basic story of most books 2 and 3 in this kind of series.
    1. Time spend apart, but love (money?) is stronger
    2. Not-too-real-hesitation because she is not sure she wants to trust him
    3. Way-too-soon marriage.
    4. Huge drama about his past, but easily forgiven.
    5. Way-to-soon babies on the way.
    6. Problem, but thanks to strong mutual love and inside strength, easily overcome.

    In the first book, I loved the tension and relationship building between Laurelyn and Jack Henry, but since page 1 of book 2, nothing grow stronger between them. I was expecting a "blah-blah-blah sex blah-blah-blah" configuration; but we mainly had a "blah sex-sex-sex blah" situation.
    With Laurelyn being pregnant and having something to prevent miscarriage inside of her, forbidding Jack Henry to go inside her, Georgia had the perfect opportunity to bring some characters/relationships building. But even there, she didn't. They spend 80% of the book mutually touching/pleasuring each other.

    Once again, I have to say, sex-scene were awfully repetitive, same words and sentences. Jack Henry wants to have sex. He talks dirty. Laurelyn says something like "Dirty pig/caveman/dog..." and he ALWAYS answer "Yes and you love it". This scene happened like 30 times in the last couple books. I mean. Really.

    I grew bored and I definitely should have stopped at book 1. Perhaps at 10% of book 2 when they meet back and nothing more evolves between them. Just to be sure.

    I liked it a tiny bit better than the 2nd but it's still 2.5 stars. And I'm being generous.

  • Anastasia

    So I finished the series. YAY!

    I maintain that the last two books should have been condensed into one and a lot of that sex filler, as hot as it was, should have been cut out.

    What makes this series so wonderful is how much we know that Jack Henry loves L. That is why you should read this series. It's amazing, and who does not want be loved like that??

    Also, I have to admit the author can write some hot scenes!

    In this book, the drama gets back to moderately realistic.

    I was getting anxious for some of the events we knew were coming to happen already. It became really drawn out.

    Some of the things the author left some things unresolved that I really wish would have been addressed:

    This book was not my favorite of the series.

    What I enjoyed:
    Getting to see their future beyond, "we got married"
    Happy ending

    What I didn't enjoy:
    There were loose ends (Audrey, Lana, L's family issues, etc.). Women from Jack's past make appearances here and there, but nothing that drags out long enough to really worry you. The possibilities for angst were endless, so the book fell a bit short for me.

    I was really anticipating this book, but I felt a bit deflated at the end. It even kind of dragged in some places, which I thought was a waste of space that could have been filled with some good old drama. Jack Henry was waaay to mellow for me this time around. I understand he was trying to overcompensate because he hated how his past affected his relationship with L, but I like my guys a bit more macho than that. I mean shooooot, I would still date him for sure, but he definitely lost his edge as the book progressed.

    I heard the fans begged for this final installment of the series. While I admit I wanted more after book two, what I wanted wasn't quite what I got. Overall it was "nice," and I'm content that they live happily ever after.

    Before I get into MY review, I'd like to say to the people who don't like my review, please continue crying in my mailbox about how offensive my reviews are. It makes my day the ignorance of people judging someone's OPINION as if it were posted on a newspaper. Slander? Hilarious. Grow up.

    Now about my review, WHAT THE HECK did I just read. It's like every conceivable bad situation was thrown into this book. Um really?
    ~~~~~SPOILER ALERT (in other words, don't read if you don't want to know what happens)~~~~~~
    I'll just write a checklist of all the scenarios in this book
    *Crazy ex girlfriend, ex mistress, and coworker
    *misunderstandings
    *suicide and murder
    *JEALOUSY galore
    * "illegitimate" child & paternity test
    *pregnancies and almost miscarriages
    *crazy mother (which Im upset they never resolved that nut job of a woman)
    It got to the point I felt like I needed a neck brace from the whiplash I got with all the back and fourth. Very disappointed with this last installment of the series.
    soooo...ok gotta say...Jack for sure has alot on his shoulders, wasn't expecting so many crazy exes truly.L. *love the nickname* is sweet and man she loves him truly.
    so here we are at the end of the series, which i truly enjoyed....i'll miss all the characters and specially Jack's mom...who i think is the best, she is the coolest mom and in-law :D
    if you want to read this serie, give it a try...it will be a bit hard in the first book...but listen to our girl Laurie lyrics and you will fall for their story anytime.
    see ya ;)
    "You were once my beauty from pain, before you became my beauty from surrender. Now you've adapted into something different once again."
    "And what is that?"
    "My beauty from love... Forever."
    4 Beauty Lovin’ Stars
    It’s the final book to Jack and Laurelyn’s story!!!!
    Jack and Laurenlyn are happily married. Now, they must go through all the things that one goes through during the first year of marriage.
    I wouldn’t call Beauty from Love very dramatic or angsty. The book was sweet with some hardships, but nothing too crazy. I overall enjoyed the story and was glad to see this story have a proper ending.
    Jack is still the lovable alpha male. He’s completely in love with L and will do anything to make her happy. L is a typical girl and is kind of crazy at times, but she’s all around level headed.
    Typical expectations are will happen in this book, I will not name what, but I kind of figured it would happen and it didn’t upset or bore me, I just went along for the ride.
    I really liked how detail Georgia went with this one. It didn’t turn me off, but enhance my reading experience. You could really feel the emotions between Jack and L and feel for them as well. You will know what I am talking about when you get to that part.
    If you started the series, you just definitely end it. It’s a sweet conclusion to an adorable couple.
