Yes, Aimee Duffy has once again made me fall in love with a sexy, stubborn, reformed bad-boy and oh yeah...it feels SOOOOO good!! I mean, just his name oozes sex appeal, Enrique Castillo.....yep...definitely makes me tingly!!

And our heroine, Alexa Green, tabloid queen, just wanted to have a last hurrah with her girl friends before they are all married off, but of course nothing goes as planned when on a Dare, she literally runs into a problem...a HUGE Problem called Ric, and his gaze that has her needing a serious cold shower!

I warn you, the sexual tension between Ric and Alexa is like a rubber band ready to SNAP, and yes, when it finally explodes...it's OH SO GOOD!! Aimee Duffy has the skills to literally have me crawling the walls....Seriously!

Ric and Alexa both have insecurities that keep them from fully opening themselves to the possibility of true love, and its a journey that will have you laughing, crying and squirming in your panties!!

Aimee is a fresh voice in the Romance genre, and if you haven't heard of her yet, well...YA HAVE NOW!!

Being seen as a party girl that does nothing more than jump in bed with every other guy, party hard all night long, get drunk and caught in awkward positions, can be a good thing if you don't care what the world thinks.

But if behind the party girl lifestyle there is actually a intellectual, hard working, longing for approval person, then that façade you are trying to upkeep to the outside is simply putting your own happiness on a back burner.

The new Aimèe Duffy read tells the story of Alexa, she is wild, crazy and totally free from caring what anyone thinks, in fact she reckons the tabloids hunting her down just to see what or who she does is or when she flashes her panties to the world, is completely boring and tiring, no one wants to read that, go find the latest pop star scandal already!

Yet, she also knows her reputation is important as heiress to her father's fortune, even if she refuses to touch it, she still knows she need to try and behave and stay out of the news for awhile. So she works hard to keep her company going but slacks off on the parting it up, well just a smidgen, after all she does not want to be completely boring!

But when she is dared to do a holiday dare by her two crazy friends she grabs it, she never backs out of a dare. Only the dare goes wrong and she finds herself face to face with in-my-arms-you-will-burn-hotter-than-the-sun Ric, and up to her ears in the scandal of the century.

The character of Alexia was fantastic! I totally adored this woman. She says what she wants, does what she wants and wears what she wants. A real kick-ass heroine! I loved, loved that she does not back down at anything Ric throws her way. I did however find her level of emotional disconnection to her father a bit disturbing and at first I thought her partying so hard all the time was a way to show him she actually does not care what she does simply because she knows it will tick him off. But as the author let her evolve I was delighted to find a completely different reasoning behind it.

The character of Ric, was dark ladies and I mean dark. The man has secrets and more secrets filled with layers and layers of regret. I loved how the author let me be able to pick up on the reason why he is so dark and his deepest darkest secret before actually coming right out with it. It made him mysterious on one level but also so much of a tortured hero on another I just wanted to wrap his delicious body up in my arms and comfort him.

I did however not agree with the guilt trip he puts himself on for his past, there are people in the world that does things far worse then he did. I agreed on some level it was acceptable but not to the point he takes it. However, the author played it up into the read so perfectly that it overshadowed my opinion and therefore gets a definitely yes from me, as being a great plot.

The backdrop settings were so romantic and delightful that if was if I could feel the sun beating down on me, smell the ocean and hear the music. The dialogue was classic Aimèe Duffy, romantic and sexy yet this time it was ramped up so much more, it left me tearing up and feeling emotionally drained!

The author let the conflict and sexual heat between Ric and Alexi build and build until it exploded with such a amazing bang it left me breathless and begging for her to continue, I honestly did not want this read to stop.

I am taking away a message of life is what it is, we all do what we have, bad or good no matter, we do what is needed to survive. But letting your past hold you back will be the one thing you regret the most. Stand up, face it with a smile and hope for the best.

A romantic, sensual, sexy heart stopping read, highly recommended for all fans of romance with a twist of fate and learning to live it up.

Note to the author, you had me at undergarments !

A great summer read! This book was fun, engaging and full of emotion. It took me on an emotional roller-coaster where parts had me laughing and others sympathising for the characters. I spent the whole day reading this in the sun and it held my interest the whole way through.

The reader gets thrown straight into the all girls holiday Alexa is on and picks up when they are daring each other to do wild things. I must admit I was slightly confused due to the rapid start as we didn't get any introductions but the action put a smile on my face so that I brushed over that fact until it became clear. I loved how the girls were carefree and fun loving, they were likable, relatable and easy to connect with because of this. I especially loved it when Ric was introduced, I just couldn't stop smiling while reading it due to the awkward situation. It was believable and the action was described brilliantly so the reader could visualise and relate to it.

Alexa was a great female lead, she was strong, carefree and stubborn yet she had a vulnerable side due to the problems in her family which made her easy to like and connect with. Her wild streak always got her caught in the press and instead of living off her family's money she wanted to get rid of her trust fund. If anything it was her father's values that made her rebel and pull away, which was a nice change from snobby, rich kids.

Throughout the book she developed really well. I think my favourite part was at the water park as both her and Ric were so relaxed. It was the section that made me laugh most. As well as this, her witty, stubborn reaction to Ric as he becomes more demanding after the initial ultimatum were entertaining.

The connection between Alexa and Ric was great too. I enjoyed the teasing and could relate to it well, it was just sweet and engaging. It made you fall in love with Ric when he was open and like Alexa, his development was nice to follow. The conflict between the two was interesting and I liked how although there was instant attraction, Duffy didn't have them jumping straight at each other in a whirlwind romance. It wasn't a prolonged romance but I liked how the suspense of when they were actually going to get together was extended. It kept me turning pages and hoping for the best.

One thing I wasn't so keen on was the 3rd person narrative. I enjoyed hearing both points of view, especially when they weren't together or something dramatic had happened but personally the transition between the two were a bit abrupt and didn't flow as well as I would have liked. Sometimes it felt a bit stop and start and I would have preferred a line break in between each to visually show the separation. As well as this the only other thing was Ric. He did become slightly repetitive with his excuses for not being with Alexa and after a while it did become slightly irritating due to the amount of times it was repeated.

However, overall Sinfully Summer was a quick, feel good read that keeps you hooked all the way through with its drama, passion and sweet romance. There are some sensitive issues which are dealt with sensitively and brilliantly and it added realism to a believable and engaging book. I would strongly recommend this book either to chill out with or take on holiday - you will not be disappointed!

Sinfully Summer is one of those books that should come with a sun lounger, a cocktail and a hot pool boy to drool over behind your kindle. Unfortunately all I got was grey, Irish skies but luckily Aimee Duffy managed to whisk me away in my head to sunny Marbella and immerse me in all the hot summer goodness that I could almost smell the tanning lotion.

Alexa Green is the typical London party girl. Think Made in Chelsea, The Hills, she's no stranger to the tabloids. Fed up with the bad press she's trying desperately to turn the tide of opinions in her favour. No longer willing to be beholden to her father and his millions and trying to build up a successful business she wants nothing more than a girly holiday with her friends with a bit of saucy fun but nothing too scandalous. When her friends dare her to run around their hotel floor in her underwear she agrees. A run in with some hotel guests requires a quick getaway and Alexa finds herself in the elevator barrelling up to the Penthouse with no escape...

Enter Ric, hotel owner, Spanish playboy turned business man, he's one hot hunk and exactly what Alexa desires. He's also a bit...unpleasant to put it politely at first and recognising Alexa as the party girl with plenty of contacts coerces her into helping him plan a charity ball later that month.

As Ric and Alexa create more fireworks than Guy Fawkes night the two slowly get to know each other albeit with plenty of bumps in the road but the sexual tension sizzles more than a summer barbecue and the couple give in to their red hot desires.

I really liked Alexa, despite her reputation she came across as sweet, thoughtful and sassy. She didn't take any crap from Ric and always stood up for herself. Ric...I wasn't such a fan of. I thought he could be extremely rude to Alexa and while he may have a typical fiery Spanish temper at times it didn't excuse his behaviour I wanted Alexa to give him a swift kick to the goolies. Ric had his reasons for distrusting Alexa because of his past but at times I wished he would have tried honesty rather than insults.

Overall I thought Sinfully Summer was a sweet, engaging, summer read, full of tension, romance and plenty of drama. A perfect way to steal a couple of hours away from real life...now if only we could have the weather to match!

    Sunshine in a book!
I love the characters author Aimee Duffy has created. Both Alexa and Ric are equally matched in the determination battle. And equally matched in the chemistry department with a scorching heat between them that has nothing to do with the Marbella sun.

Alexa is a party girl heiress who likes to have fun. But don't be fooled into thinking she is spoiled and indulged because she is not. What I love about Alexa is that she is open and honest. A 'take her or leave her' type of person who is determined to live life her own way and have fun doing it. And boy does she.

Ric. Oh delicious Ric!He is a tortured hero determined to shed his bad-boy image and make his family proud. The only way to do this and prove he can be successful in his own right is to enlist the help of Alexa. What a pity she refuses to comply with any of his demands. Including wearing clothes.

What I love about this wonderfully written book is that there are such tender moments when Ric's past is uncovered, but when there are moments of fun, it's ear to ear grin time.

Without a doubt my favourite Summer read!

Sinfully Summer is the first book that I have read by contemporary romance author, Aimee Duffy. Overall it was a good read. I did have a hard time with some of the lingo though. I am guessing that this was because of the fact that most of the story took place in Spain and the main female character, Alexa, is from London. One of the most memorable scenes in the book was when Alexa first met the male lead character, Ric. She was in the middle of completing a dare that one of her friends made her do when she was placed in Ric's path. Even though the circumstances were awkward, the attraction was there, and no matter how hard either of them tried to fight it, it only got stronger.
Whenever I read a romance novel, I like the ones where there's more than just girl meets boy and they fall in love. I was not disappointed by this book. There was a good balance between the romance aspect of the book and the real life aspect of it. Duffy created real characters who struggled with real issues. I would recommend this book to others.

I finished this book this morning, and thought it was a great read. It grabs from the get go, when Alexa runs around the hotel in her underwear. I loved the way the author portrayed Alexa, she's fun, wild and definitely naughty, but has a heart of gold too...the perfect mix! The hero, Ric is an alpha with a tortured past, and the author digs deep and shows his vulnerable side too, making it impossible not to love him.
And the sex is scorchio. Need I say more?

  • Anasheh Satoorian

OMG this book was SO MUCH FUN! First off let me say that this story started off with one of the funniest first chapters ever! All I have to say is that it involves a dare which has our main character Alexa caught running around a luxurious hotel in nothing but her underwear. This may sound funny enough as it is, but she ends up in the penthouse of the sexy Hotel owner.

What may have showed the humor of the situation is the instant sexual chemistry between them too. The relationship between Rico and Alexa is a perfect yin/yang opposites attract one. Rico comes from a troubled almost heart breaking childhood. Adopted by this successful parents he took their generosity and their money for granted and now he is determined to get his act together and run a successful business to thank them for saving his life. The last thing he needs is to be distracted by Alexa, a British Heiress who he feels spends way too much time partying with not enough clothing. Catching her in a bad situation he decides to use it to his advantage and have her help plan a charity event that rings close to home.

Alexa is determined to make something of herself without the help of her father. Having lost her mother to what Alexa feels is thanks to her father treating her like nothing but a trophy wife, Alex wants nothing to do with her father and never wants to be treated like a possession. She is determined to shed her party girl reputation and create a successful business of her own. When she meets Rico is immediately drawn to his gorgeous Spanish looks, but at the same time repulsed by the fact that he represent everything she does not like about her father.

As they develop a close working relationship, Alexa is determined to make Rico have more fun, whereas Rico will do everything he can to make Alexa respectful and more professional. Will opposites attract or will their differences be too much over come. And how will they handle this burning chemistry between them. All of this combined to make a story that is absolutely perfect for the summer.

The title of this book is absolutely spot on. This is a perfect summer read and I absolutely enjoyed reading by the beach. I loved both of the main characters and the chemistry between them was amazing. I felt both of their stories were enjoyable to read about, and the author did a great job at developing the sexual tension between them. My only complaint of this book was that it was too short! I wanted to read more about Rico and Alexa! All in all a fun, playful read that is perfect fun summer time read!

    Sinfully Summer by Aimee Duffy

I love when a book grabs my attention in the very beginning, and this book does just that. On a dare from her two best friends, Alexia Green runs the halls of an exclusive hotel in Marbella Spain wearing only her underwear. This latest dare is about to bring her up close and personal with one smoking hot Enrique Castillo. In the limelight for all of the wrong reasons, this heiress has an ... I don't care attitude. I could not help but like Alexia's character, she seemed like a party girl "think Cindy's Lauper's song" girls just wanna have fun. But she is so much more than meets the eye. Loyal to friends, fun loving, organized, hard working and also running her own company.

Enrique "Ric"Castillo grew up in the slums of Spain after being abandoned by his own mother. Adopted by Maria and Antonio Castillo, he wanted to prove he is worthy to be made partner on the latest resort being built. But Alexia Green is a distraction he doesn't need or want. He fears her bad press will bring his tragic past to light. So he will keep her at arms length and use her to help plan his charity ball. The character of Ric has a very dark pass and I couldn't help but admire how he had come full circle.

These two are instantly attracted to each other, and the sexual tension is forefront throughout the story. When they finally do hook up it is off the charts. I mean sizzling, the kitchen scene wowza! But soon a misunderstanding has these two at odds. While I enjoyed the story for the most part I did have a couple of issues. I thought Alexia forgave Ric way to soon. Also there was the overuse of the word "hormone or hormones" almost every time Alexia was aroused. And finally how often Alexia placed her hand on her hip when wanting to voice her opinion, which was often.

I would recommend this book. You will find darkness, fun, passion, forgiveness and a HEA!

I really should have read this book by the beach! Look at that summery cover and all those vibrant colors! Sinfully Summer is one of those books that should come with a cocktail and lots of sun. Unfortunately the weather out here is crazy and been raining and grey mostly, however Aimee managed to transport me to sunny Marbella and its beautiful beaches.

This is a rather short, but very much sweet read. It's one of those you'll finish in one sitting, cover to cover, maybe even on your lunch breaks. It follows the story of Alexa, a bit of a spoilt, wild party-girl who's on a vacation with her girls. Under very strange and embarrassing conditions, she meets Ric the hotel owner, an up tight businessman who asks (or shall I say forces) her to help him out organize a charity ball.

The writing is easy to follow and I really liked the immediate chemistry between Alexa and Ric, however there were few things that bothered me. As much as I tried to, I couldn't relate to Alexa and despite the fact she's trying to act mature I still thought she's very spoilt. I also didn't like the way Ric is blackmailing her to help him out.

However, Sinfully Summer is definitely a nice beach read, perfect to get your mind off serious matters and every day problems. I wish it was a bit longer though, because maybe I'd got to see more of Alexa's character and like her more. I loved the setting and think I should definitely re-read it for my summer holidays.

If you're looking for an easy, romance read and a short getaway from all your daily troubles, look no further. I'm sure you'd love to visit Marbella, just make sure you don't forget getting a nice cold drink.

Sinfully Summer was a fun read. I enjoyed it very much and my oh my, there is a Hot Spanish lover in this one girls. *wink wink*
Alexa is on an all girls holiday with her friends in Spain when she gets dared to walk around in her undies in the hotel. That is when she bumps into the dark haired, spanish heart-throb Ric. Ric was adopted by the Castillo’s when he was a young teenager living on the streets and has a broken past he is pretty ashamed of. Alexa on the other hand, has a notorious past and has been given almost every bad name you can think of in the media. She has done her best to rebel against a life that her father wanted to plan for her.

I loved Alexa’s character, always strong and knowing what she wants, but when it comes to matters of the heart she was cautious. Ric, on the other hand annoyed me at some times, since he couldn’t realize there was something happening between him and Alexa or he just didn’t want to admit to it. There was a great connection between the characters, since they both had their own issues to deal with, it just kept you wondering if they would ever end up together. The author did a good job of teasing us with some HOT flirt scenes and it only made the love scenes even HOTTER!!

The only thing that bothered me about the book was the scene changes. I sometimes felt they were too quick. The character(s) would be in one spot and all of a sudden the scene would switch and the story would be taking place somewhere else with the same character(s). Overall this is a great, fun read to take with you when travelling or on vacation.

Ric Castillo hides his heart behind guilt and shame. Party girl Alexa Green has trouble hiding her body parts! A dare leads to a first encounter that starts the pages simmering with a perfect summer sexual frisson!

Is there more to spoilt little rich girl Alexa than childish frolics and winding people up? Why is Ric so staid when he has a come-to-bed body like that?!

This novel is a perfect sun lounger read with great leading characters and hot, sexy scenes to melt your sun cream off!

Amazing read. Fully recommend Aimee Duffy's romance, Sinfully Summer, about Alexa Green and Ric Castillo. Set along the Spanish coast where two hard-headed people must learn to negotiate their goals and desires in order to find their paths in life and love. Very entertaining and a fast-paced read.

  • Michelle Smart

Let me state unequivically that I LOVED this book. Proper review to follow.

  • Lily (Night Owl Book Cafe)

    3.5 Solid Stars!

Alexa Green is a use to be party girl heiress who is now trying to reinvent her life. She cannot help it though that paparazzi are still managing to grab pictures of her that end up looking trashy but completely out of context.

Enrique Castillo came from a rough life until he was adopted and all his indiscretions have been swept under the carpet. Now he runs one of the biggest Castillo's hotels but wants to make his own name. The first step for him is to host a charity event ball for the children in need, and his going to use the fact that Alexa showed up in his penthouse in her knickers as blackmail in order to have her help him.

Sinfully Summer was a hot and delicious read, that was quick, funny, exciting and full of electricity. Really a wonderful summer read to lounge on a beach somewhere with your own set of cocktails. I absolutely loved Ric, he came back fighting his past and trying to make something out of himself and works hard in order to do it. But his a workaholic who no longer knows how to have fun since he immersed himself in his work. He was absolutely yummy. Strong, determined and knew just exactly how to manipulate Alexa despite the physical pull of attraction between them.

Alexa was different. For someone who was trying to reform her image and starting her own company, she sure spent a lot of time without a bra or panties wearing provocative clothing. Forcing Alexa to work for him in organizing the charity ball after she managed to scare away an important person, is more then Ric can bargain for. In a way, both of these characters were as good for each other as they were bad. Ric was there to help guide Alexa away from the trashy party girl image while Alexa was beating down all of the stiff walls he had managed to beat over the years.

The attraction between them was there from the moment Alexa ended up in Ric's penthouse in her 'underwear' and it exploded through the book. All the teasing moments had me giggle. Despite Ric trying lead her in the right direction, she still manages to test his resolve.

I truly enjoyed Sinfully Summer and would recommend it for anyone who enjoys some guilty pleasure summer fun filled in the sun. But I also loved the fact that Ric's past really carried a darker undertone to this book, which made it more rounded and exciting.

**I got a copy of this book from the publish through netgalley in exchange of an honest review!

Sinfully Summer sounded like the perfect summer romance, and I definitely can't resist a good summer fling...so I jumped at the chance to read it, and I really enjoyed it! It wasn't quite as light, and breezy as I expected, but it was a wonderful story and Ric and Alexa's story was just what I needed during the bout of rain we've been having lately! It made me laugh, and it definitely made me smile!

The main characters, Ric and Alexa, had some seriously steamy chemistry, and while they constantly argued...I actually really enjoyed their back-and-forth bantering, especially when it got a bit heated. They also really complimented each other well. Ric had a really rough past and he needed Alexa's fun side to help him loosen up. I wasn't a fan of Ric always getting so angry with Alexa...but she pretty much got angry with him just as often. It may have had more to do with their unresolved sexual tension though because they didn't argue nearly as much later in the story.

I absolutely loved that Aimee Duffy chose to have both of the main characters' POVs in the story. It helped explain the characters' motivations, and allowed us to see just how hard it was for them to resist their attraction. It also allowed us to see that even when he was acting tough...Ric had a softer side. I also just loved Alexa, she was so spirited and feisty, and I loved her for it!

Overall, Sinfully Summer was a wonderful romance with two fantastic characters! They may have butted heads, and you might get a bit frustrated with them at times, but through it all, you will be cheering and just hoping that they get their happy ending...and you will absolutely love experiencing it all with them! I'd recommend Sinfully Summer to those who enjoy summer romances that aren't just flings...and also to those who love dark, mysterious (and slightly angry) leading men and feisty leading ladies!

I have to say, I LOVED LOVED LOVED the way this book started and that’s really important for me when I start the book. The beginning has to be catchy and take me in immediately, Aimee did a great job here. Alexa finds herself and Enrique Castillos penthouse and this just in her underwear, or should I say her undergarments, as Ric says so nicely. That is where their story begins.
Instead of enjoying her holidays with her two friends, she has to help Ric organize a ball and she has to stay longer.

Their attraction was obvious from the start, but of them didn’t want anything to happen. There was something up in the air all the time, but it took quite a while till something finally does happen between them. The seem to hate each other, but isn’t that the first sign for love anyway?
They both don’t want a serious relationship anyway, Ric doesn’t even know what love is.

Ric has a dark past and he’s not really proud of it, it takes him a while to trust Alexa and tell her everything. The atmosphere between them changes all the time, they enjoy their time together, but then they don’t talk for a week.
There were some passionate and flirty scenes, which were a pleasant change to their teasing and fighting. In some scenes the connecting thread was missing for me though and more paragraphs would have made the reading more pleasant, especially when there was a jump in time.

When Alexa tells him about her job, he interprets in the complete wrong way and doesn’t want to see her anymore. This just when they finally seemed to realise what they feel for each other.
All the other saw their feelings towards each other first and help to solve this misunderstanding. I just wished for them to find a way to be together and admit their feelings…

There were some really sweet scenes in this book and it again shows that finding the right person might change everything!!!

Sinfully Summer has you head first straight into rich girl drama. This has you thinking that it is going to be another spoilt rich girl, boring party book. It is so not like that. It is classy and totally deserving of your time.

Following bolshy but strait-laced pap favourite Alexa Green on a girly holiday in Marbella, we watch how she unexpectedly ends up blackmailed into working alongside Spanish millionaire and hotel chain heir Enrique Castillo planning a fund-raising event. As a volatile and sexually frustrated relationship blossoms between the two can they get a long for the charity event they're organising or will it all come crashing down around their ears?

Not only has Aimee Duffy given us a funny and charming read she's also given us a sexy and dark one too. A perfect combination for us ladies I would most definitely say. As the plot stays focused on the two main characters and is written flitting from male to female thoughts, it brings just enough depth to allow the story not to get boring as some books written this way end up. I enjoyed the drama and the whole set up, but thought the whole dynamic between both characters when together shows their so called bad girl/boy images in a different light and how when they benefited in personality with banter.

It's a perfect summer read and one I recommend in your beach bag this year. Fabulous!

Sexy, fun and as hot as the summers sun.

P.s... As soon as I read the name Enrique Castillo my mind went straight for Enrique Iglesias. Oh how much that face fits perfect to this story. Ladies, I'm sure you'll catch my drift with this ;)

  • Erin Maurer

Sinfully Summer reminded me why I love Aimee Duffy's work so much. She writes fun, sexy stories, the chocolate ice cream equivalent of the literary world. As with Never Say Never, this book was spicy, sweet and oh, so sexy. What sets Duffy's work apart from the run-of-the-mill romance novels on the market today is that she has a deep skill for crafting her characters.

Alexa is a typical, rich, wild-child heiress, but only on the surface. Underneath the rich-kid veneer, Alexa is deep. She's funny, she motivated, she is whip-smart. She is the kind of romance heroine that makes you want to root for her.

Ric is beyond hot, the tall, dark and handsome hunk that romance heroes are made of. He is also deeply troubled, a life on the streets prior to being adopted has made him feel unworthy of love.

When the two come together, sparks fly. The chemistry between them is undeniable, there are also major issues. Ric does not trust Alexa, but needs her help. Alexa is attracted, but not interested in another meaningless fling. They deny the passion between them, until it becomes impossible.

This story is fun, its sexy and Duffy's talent for crafting her characters means you actually care about them. My inner cheerleader was jumping up and down, rooting them on the entire time I was reading. Anyone who loves a good romance should check out this book. But warning, it may have you wanting to vacation in Spain.

    Sinfully Summer by Aimée Duffy

Can you hear the party music and feel the heat of the sun when you open this great beach read? Definitely.
Alexa is the darling of the scandal press. Player Ric is the arrogant hotel entrepreneur. When they meet as Alexa fulfills her flirty holiday dare the atmosphere is so electric it rivals summer lightning.

The author skillfully provides insights into the characters' psyche. Traumatic childhoods have rebounded on their adult lives. Are they too damaged to risk their hearts again?

Their connection is sizzling and unwelcome. Especially when Ric tricks Alexa into working with him on a project close to his well hidden heart.

Alexa's vulnerability is disguised by her zest for life and fiery temper but it makes her easy to like. Ric is tortured and plagued by his past. Afraid his good fortune will be snatched away from him by the inquisitive media.

This story is absorbing but very easy to read. Full of emotion, sensuality and humour a must for your beach bag this summer.

    Sinfully Summer

Admittedly I found the beginning of the book rather slow going and couldn't really get into the plot. However, after a few chapters my opinion of Sinfully Summer changed dramatically! I couldn't get through the pages fast enough and was rather disappointed to reach the ending (not disappointed by the storyline, but that I finished the book - I could have easily read on for a few more hours).

Aimée takes the reader on a sizzling and intriguing journey. Characters that I found slightly annoying in the beginning, were given so much depth and likability after a few chapters. At first I thought Alexa was just this spoilt young adult who always gets what she wants (and if she doesn't she sulks), but I loved getting to know her character better and understanding what causes her behaviour. Similarly, Ric's character building is equally strong. I really enjoyed the sparring and "friendly banter" between the two of them.

Sinfully Summer is all about spoilt wild child Alexa, Spanish billionaire Ric and their working/private relationship in organising a charity ball to raise money for underprivileged children. Throw the sexual tension that brews up between them into the mix and you'll and up with an explosive firework that will mesmerise you!!

I genuinely can’t decide whether this book is best read during the miserable depths of winter, for pure escapism reasons, or in the height of summer, lazing beside the pool with a cocktail in hand . . .

But whatever season suits you best; it’s a cracker of a read.

I adored the way in which Alexa and Ric first meet; it gives the reader an immediate sense of who the characters are, whilst stoking the first flames of sexual tension. You can’t help but like Alexa, she’s a sexy lady who strives to leave her turbulent years behind and make her new business a success, throwing a little fun into the mix along the way. Ric is all types of brooding manliness that will get your heart pumping and your mouth watering! The pair fight a good fight against their feelings but the sexual tension just doesn’t let up, meaning the reader is treated to some delightfully steaming scenes.

Read this anytime, anywhere and I guarantee it will put a smile on your face.

The first thing that struck me about this book was the writing style. Duffy not only spins a good yarn, but also has an effortless and inspiring narrative voice. You can’t help but get caught up in all of her characters’ lives and while on the surface it is fun and happy, there is also a great deal of depth.

The story focuses on Ric and Elexa, two powerful young people with sexual chemistry that sizzles off the page. I challenge anyone not to get caught up in the husky manliness that is Ric. Both characters have a strong desire to prove to themselves and their parents that they have changed. While the locations and steamy chemistry is engaging, it is this desire to change that keeps you turning the page, because we all love a bad-boy/girl turned good. This is undoubtedly a perfect summer read, but prepare to get hot under the collar!

I would like to thank candlelit tours for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

We first meet Alexa when she is dared by her friend to run around a floor of a hotel, this doesn't go to plan and she ends up at the penthouse of Enrique Castillo’s. There is an instant attraction between the pair but both are total opposites, Alexa was a wild child and is still wild as she rebels against her father. Rick is more studious and straight laced.

Aimee moves to story along at a fast pace and you can't help but like both Alexa and Rick, I had to keep turning page after page to find out where the story would go.

Would Rick relax a bit more? Would Alexa be less wild? Would they bury their differences to arrange the charity ball? To find out the answers to these questions, I would say go out and buy this brilliant book.

I'm a huge Aimee Duffy fan. I love her writing style.

I read this story in almost one sitting--a very long sitting! But once I began it, I had to know how it was going to end. The hero kept me on my toes as I tried to figure him out. He's that tall, dark, handsome, and mysterious man. He isn't that sweet man you swoon over. He's older then Alexa (score one - older man!) and doesn't have time for her childish games. He frustrates Alexa to no end, yet they can't help but find themselves attracted to one another and hating the fact that they are.

This is a romance full of sexual tension. You find yourself as the reader hoping the kiss will happen soon.

My favorite scene in this book was the water park. Want to know why? Guess you'll have to read it. :)

This book would make a great beach read- you can tell this by just looking at the cover! I was hooked after reading the description, I love my tabloids and this was a story ripped from the pages! A sexy billionaire, beautiful fun heiress and an amazing location! I really enjoyed this read it was light and fun! The excerpt I posted above is from Ric and Alexa's first meeting and let me tell you the steam factor intensifies by about 300% if that is possible! My first Aimee Duffy book, but I look forward to more great reads by this author! I give it a very solid 4 STARS!

    A thoroughly enjoyable read!

Having voted for this story during SYTYCW, I am so pleased it found a home with HarperImpulse so that I finally got to read it.

A sweet, warm romance with a feisty, vulnerable heroine and pig-headed, tortured hero. Oh and it positively sizzles in parts too.

    Great holiday read.

So glad to finally get to read the whole of Alexa's story and the gorgeous and tortured Ric of course!

A short, sexy, summery read which I really enjoyed - only quibble is that I felt the happy end was tied up a bit too quickly for me.
