I'm a shifter fan and got this short as a freebie on amazon.
It wasn't perfect, but it showed a lot of potential, it was just a little too fast and covered a bit too much in such a short story. -
This very short M/M werewolf romance is neither new nor original but this is hardly the problem as most lovers of this genre do not really expect or demand utter originality.
The real problem is that everything about it, while not exactly awful, is rather weak: writing, characterization, setting.
Sex scenes are very explicit and very dull, forced into the plot with scant success.
I would only download this as a freebie. -
I will refrain from rating - DNF at 33%.
Until then: An unoriginal werewolf M/M novella with a lot of cliches, plot holes and some insta-love on top. -
Neil's character I rather liked, calm and down to earth. Logan we don't really get to know. Stryder I didn't like, he seemed thrown in simply for the conflict and no other reason. There was no development of his character. I also didn't care for the pack dynamics, though we don't see any beyond Logan's exile. The idea that simply because Logan's brother, the alpha mate is expecting a child, makes Logan dangerous, is ridiculous. And on top of that, that Logan expected it and that his brutal beating was given reluctantly, seemed a cold plot point if we don't get to see Logan win out over them in the end.

IX. "Must Love Wolves" was certainly an interesting read. I am not that big in mixing supernatural elements in my romance novels, but I gave it a chance. I am glad I did. I like the basic concept of the story. However, I think it needed a little work to help it feel more organic. I few grammar issues here and there but overall a good read definitely am recommending to other M/M Romance readers. Looking forward to reading more of Elizabeth Coldwell's work.

This was a good story, in that it had a beginning, a middle and an end. It was very shallow and formulaic, though. It could have done with a lot more description, especially of the wolf shifter culture.
If you like paranomal M/M, catch public transport and are underwhelmed by staring out the window and don't want to engage your mind in any way then I guess I might recommend reading this book. -
★★★☆☆
A nice lunchtime diversion, nothing you haven't read before. Wolf-shifter Alpha kicks younger brother Logan out, and ends up under Neil's tree. Conveniently, Neil is researching the myth of men turning into wolves. Instant attraction, Neil is Logan's fated mate and other than a little drama with another local wolf everything works out just peachy. -
'Must Love Wolves' is a great romance novella. Neil finally finds his lover and Logan finally finds his mate. The story is well written. I love when opposites attract. The love and acceptance they share is as close to perfect as one can get. I look forward to reading more. Recommended. A must for your tbr list.

Too much going on. It seemed like information overload in only 74 pages. I think if it was longer and fleshed out more it would have been better.
I really liked Neil and his easy acceptance due to his infatuation with wolf-men. -
This story was really cool and had a lot of potential so I wish it was written a little better and the characters developed more so we would get the full effect. It was such a bummer that the plot was so interesting and the actual story came out only so-so. :-(

Made me smile a couple times but that's it.
