While the vocabulary words being introduced here aren't necessarily sight words, they are words that it might be helpful to know. Readers follow the pages in which various objects are grouped together according to categories and lift flaps on each right-hand page in order to find even more objects to learn. Since I've always found that grouping or sorting objects by color or theme or function useful when working with young readers, the divisions of toys, clothes, pets, food items, and animals found in the zoo or farm, among others is helpful to encouraging them to consider what they have in common as well as what makes them different or even where they might likely be found.
