Rock, Paper, Fire: The Best of Mountain and Wilderness Writing Reviews
-
This collection of essays contains some of the best outdoor writing I have ever read, and outdoor/adventure writing is kinda my thing. There is climbing, kayaking, skiing, hiking, and camping. The writers are spiritual, angry, insightful, adventurous, and everything in between.

I had high hopes...I am a huge fan of the Banff Mountain Film Festival and expected to be blown away by the writers. Instead I found myself reading a few pages of each story and only feeling compelled to finish a few. I plan on passing it on to a friend. Perhaps it was just my mood but there are too many good books waiting for me to spend more time on this one.
