Amish born, Mary Hersberger is within her first year of marriage to Samuel who had returned home to their Amish community of Honeybrook, a year earlier, carrying with him secrets of a life time amongst the English.

Pregnant and looking forward to the birth of their first child, she arrives home with her family on the last Sunday of January 2002, and collapses from a stroke.

Upon awakening that following Monday, she finds herself being attended to in a military hospital far and away from her quiet community.

Samuel by her side, Mary begins to find light in the darkness of her illness in the unveiling of Samuel's past, thus beginning her journey into the world of the English and Samuel's 25 years.

Unveiling (Secrets of the Son) Book 2 by Willard N. Carpenter
Ok I have to say that after reading Book 1 Prodigal (Secrets of the Son) I thought I was prepared for Book 2, I could not have been further from the truth!
Unveiling will show you that secrets can yes at times torment a son however, they can also bring together a family in a way that will heal, bond, and settle the past so they can move towards the future where they all grow together in deep Christian love with the values and morals that withstand generations.
This book, Samuel’s and Mary’s story will show you that even in The darkest of times it’s possible to find the light, To come through the other side, and be stronger going through a trial. Samuel faced his past while Mary stood by him, Mary faced her trial while Samuel stood by her, their children saw what true love and determination looks like through the eyes of not only their parents but the community and dear friends.
I found that I was drawn to Samuel’s and Mary’s story, Samuel with his strong determination to settle his past not because he was Ashamed of it but because he was proud of it, however he had moved onto another stage in his life that became that much move important to him and in doing so he realized all those things his father had ingrained in him were the things he in turn wanted for his family as well.
I believe we all go through a similar stage when our past meets out future and we too must make our choice to move forward or stay in the past, God has a clear path for all us it’s up to us to choose if we want to walk it or not.
I really hope you read this series. Choose to walk this path and pick up your copy of both books PRODIGAL AND UNVEILING (Secrets Of The Son)
