Black Books Galore! Guide to Great African American Children's Books about Boys Reviews

There were some interesting titles/recommendations in this book, but with all of the recent publications, this 7 year old book felt very outdated. It also seemed to only include HIGHLY recognized and respected (aka award winners only) books. It was diverse enough, but it still, like any RA book list book already felt outdated.

A Magnificent Treasure: Every now and then I happen upon a book so fantastic that I just can't get over it. This is one of those books. I think that perhaps one in 50 books that I read deserve more than five stars. It is unfortunate that this remarkable book cannot be given six.
