These books just seem to get better and better, I thought I no one would ever beat the man that tore panties and hoarded them for his own perverted collection. But then came Max, a beautiful Brit with a fetish for fucking in public places and sexy photos. And now we have Will, the man that refuses to be tied down. The man that schedules his fucks into his calendar. But that is all about to change when he reunites with Hanna, little sister to his college friend.
We’ve had a book and a novella to get to know Will a bit, and I can’t even begin to express how much I wanted him to have his own book after Beautiful Stranger and getting some more of his personality in Beautiful Bombshell. I knew this man was going to fall fast & hard once he found the right girl. He just never expected it to be Ziggy, the girl he met when she was twelve and he was nineteen. But Ziggy was Jensen’s little sister. Hanna is the twenty-four year old woman, his Plum.
When Hanna is forced to leave the labs and become a social butterfly she is thrust into Will’s life. When Will takes her under his wings he had no idea that the lessons she wanted to learn were going to be exploring her sexual desires. Hanna is not a blushing virgin, but she has little experience. Who better than to teach her how to be sexually open, date and just have fun than the man that has made it an art form?
These two never expected that a few flirty comments were going to ignite such a fire. But Hanna can’t seem to think of Will as anything other than the man that has no desire for a monogamous relationship and for Will… Well he just can’t seem to stop thinking about Hanna.
Will was completely everything that I needed him to be. Although he went from scheduled fuck dates to wanting to settle down, he was already starting to feel bored of his normal routines, so there was no whiplash over his change of heart. He was seductive and completely knew his way around a woman’s body. Will was not just a man that was interested in getting off, he was a man that loved women and loved pleasing them.
”I think about having you spread over my face,” I said. “And taking you on the floor just inside my apartment because I can’t wait long enough to get us anywhere more comfortable. I don’t want to be with anyone else lately, and it means I spend an awful lot of time going for runs at random hours, or with my hand on my own dick wishing it was yours instead.”
Hanna was a complete goof and was such a lovable character, even though she needed to get out of her own head most of the time. Her mix of desire and inexperience was the perfect storm for some pretty steamy scenes. Usually the foreplay scenes can be hot, but are just warming you up for the main event. But I have to say that the two hottest scenes in this book were never even made it to third base. Since Hanna was still learning, so much detail was placed into her experiencing every moment of what was going on. Describing it, learning how… it was off the charts hawt!
”Will you come tonight?”
He snickered, shaking his head as he looked down, stretching. It took me a beat to understand why he was laughing.
“Ugh, pervert.” I groaned, shoving his shoulder.
“You know what I mean. Will you come with me?”
He looked up at the sound of me smacking my forehead.
“Oh my God, that’s worse. Just text me if you’re interested in coming.”
I winced, turning to walk down the trail towards my apartment building and basically wanting the trail to crack open and transport me to Narnia. “Forget it.”
“I like it when you ask me to come!” he called after me. “I can’t wait to come tonight, Ziggy! Should I come around eight? Or do you want me to come around ten? Maybe I’ll come both times?”
Christina Hobbs & Lauren Billings do a suburb job co-authoring another sizzling installment in the Beautiful series. These two write so well together that it flows so effortlessly, I could care less how they got their start in writing – I am just happy a pig in shit that they did. The humor that is contained in these pages is just as great as the naughty bits. Every single moment in this was absolutely delicious. Will was everything that I needed him to be and more. I know we are coming to an end soon of this series and these characters and I am going to be complete hot mess when that time comes. Each of these stories are filled with just the right combination of drama, sexual tension and chemistry, and Beautiful Player is a fantastic addition to the Beautiful Series. A complete must read for any fan of romance with a heavy dose of smut.

I had heard from a few friends that this one was their favorite in the series. I didn't think it could be possible after meeting Max Stella in "Beautiful Stranger", because I have a major weakness for British men!! Holy Crap, I LOVED THIS BOOK HARD!!!!!!! I can't stop thinking about it. I fell absolutely head over heels in love with Mr Will Sumner. Get a load of that name!! Even the name is god damn SEXY AS HELL!!!!!
I now understand why my lovely buddy reader, Alice, was reading this for the second time. I plan on reading this one many times over!!
There are several types of themes I go "gaga" for in a story and one of them is when there is romance with the best friend of the heroine's older brother. I, unfortunately, am the oldest sibling but when I was younger I had always wished I had an older brother who would bring his hot friends over so that I could just drool all day over them. Hanna Bergstrom aka "Ziggy", is the lucky lady in this story. She has always carried a major torch for Will Sumner since she was 12 years old. Will was her brother Jensen's college roommate and he would come to visit and even spent the summer with them once, while he interned for her father. What a lucky girl!!!
If you've read the previous book, you know that Will is a ladies man. A player. He has never had a serious relationship. However, he's not a douchebag about it either. Will is always upfront with the ladies and he treats them with respect. He's actually very charming. Hanna reaches out to Will one day after being lectured by her brother that she is not living her life. She's going to Grad school in NYC and spends all of her time working in the lab. She is a science geek. So Jensen tells her she should reach out to Will and have him help her to get out there and socialize.
So we know that these two are going to have sparks flying between them and I could definitely feel them the moment they meet up in Central Park for a run.
Will had never noticed Hanna/Ziggy before because she was seven years younger and at the time just a kid, but now he is noticing the 24 year old version of Hanna.
I loved how Hanna was so innocent but very openly curious about the ways of sex. She has had sex before but definitely not with anyone who truly knew what they were doing, like Will. So Hanna asks Will to be her life coach. Show her the ways of dating casually and eventually she wants him to teach her all about sex as well!! They decide to have a sort of friends with benefits arrangement. MY GOD!! I loved every freaking sexy time scene between them. Our Will likes to get a little rough and damn did it make him even more delicious to me. I found myself having to take a few breaks to fan myself because these scenes were making me feel very much overheated!!
Will falls for Hanna rather quickly but the two of them keep giving each other mixed signals although I mostly did think Will was making his feelings and desires pretty clear to Hanna, but she was rather clueless. She also knew he was the Player and had a huge fear of getting too attached to him because she didn't want her heart to get broken. I definitely wanted to shake her quite often. There were moments I wanted to do the same to Will but holy hell he would say the most amazing things to Hanna, that just had me swooning!!
"Hanna. I don't know if I've ever wanted something more than I want you. I really don't think I have."
"I think about just kissing you, for fucking hours. Do you know that kind of kissing? Where it's enough for so long you don't even think of doing anything else?"
There is angst in this one and at times I was really dying! I was waiting for these two to stop being chicken shit and take a freaking chance on love!!! Sometimes the greatest things in life are worth the risk!! It just seemed like they were never going to be on the same page. They seemed to always be reading each other wrong.
I was just sucked into this story and with every chapter that passed, I was falling so much more in love with it and with Will. Enough to even put him on my every growing Top Ten Fave Book Boyfriends list. I am quite sure that I have exceeded TEN by now!! He kept making me swoon and I did highlight many passages in the story. I just love this man and wish that he were real and we could have beautiful babies together!! LOL
It wasn't just a physical attraction between us. Of course I'd been attracted to women before. But there was something more with Hanna, some chemistry in our blood, something between us that snapped and crackled, that made me always want just a little more than I should take. She offered her friendship, I wanted her body. She offered her body, I wanted to hijack her thoughts. She offered her thoughts, I wanted her heart.
Overall this was just PERFECTION to me.

Also brother's best friend. They live in the city. He's 'helping' her get out and date more.
And of course... you know what that means 😏 HE STARTS FALLING FOR HER!!!!

Yes this author duo has released yet another sexy, romantic novel and I'm happy to say I'm left asking for more. Here are my 'Beautiful player' book thoughts ...
What's it all about?
Hanna Bergstrom is as studious and focused as a student can be, she loves her life and doesn't feel the need to delve into a social world around her when she has her books and brain to keep her company. But when her family start to lecture her about her lack of social life she takes a step into the unknown and contacts her old childhood crush her brother best friend and playboy, Will Sumner. Hanna believes there's no better candidate than Will to show her the skills she needs to start a fresh; start dating, making friends maybe fall in love? So when this quirky loveable heroine with no social filter comes up against the playboy with a big heart and even bigger sexual appetite who will end up teaching who when attraction gets thrown into the mix? 'Beautiful player' follows the story of Hanna and Will and finding themselves amongst the possibility of love.
What did I love?
This book delivered on the dialogue front, it was fresh, amusing and sexy. The banter, sexting and relationship between Hannah and Will was engaging, adorable and outright Hilarious. I fell right into love with this story right up until around the 55% ish mark then things got a little dubious for me but not to worry the last 15% or so really turned it back around and I left the book with a solid 4 star feeling. One of the most attractive elements of the book for me was the heroine, Hanna and her lack of Filtering. This characters honest conversations and shocking thoughts made this ordinary love story into a hilarious portrayal of a gorgeously addictive character, Hanna was utterly lovely I really connected with her quirky, original ways and I'm glad the authors created such a loveable heroine for the delectable Will. Now I'll confess right here that I love a playboy man whore and even though this type of character has been used by authors time and time again I can't help but fall for a character just like Will. His point of view although at times a little girly, was utterly attractive, I really fell for how he felt about Hanna and throughout the story his character consistency stood out for me. As for the plot it's a tried and tested method, there wasn't anything outstandingly original here but it was played out well the only problem I had with it is explained in my 'why not five'. But I love a friends to lovers plot and I love my romance to have a steamy factor to it and oh yes, this book delivers on the relationship front. The more intimate scenes were deliciously hot, there is no doubt here that these authors can write up a sex scene and there is plenty of them throughout this story. 'Beautiful player' delivers the sexy, brings home the sweet and kept me entertained throughout. I'm a fan of this series and I loved getting a sneaky peak back into the lives of former characters of the series. This series is a must click for me I just didn't have everything pointing to the five star feeling, and here's why ...
Why not five?
I don't know what went wrong here readers, i'm going to have to put this one down as a classic case of 'it's not you, it's me'. This book had everything working in its favour to be lined up as a predictable five star from Lisa but the book fell flat with its delivery of its drama, the conflict felt a little repetitive and instead of having the usual one off drama scene the book had the same issues circling around and around. 'Beautiful player had a gorgeous start, a dubious middle and a perfect ending. The in between bit was were things went south for me, the big 'misunderstanding' was confusing, two characters who up until this point had been honest to the very point of over sharing failed to communicate and I failed to relate to the drama and misunderstanding. but don't be misunderstood this story has enough for me to be left with a smile on my face, and any fans of this series will be delighted with these two 'cute as a button' characters.
Final thoughts ...
A gorgeous beginning, a not so happening misunderstanding and the perfect ending. A series that always delivers on the sexy and sweet don't miss out on Hanna and Will's story. Go grab it readers, enjoy ... Kisses. -

I’m indecisive on what I should rate this book. On one hand I liked the chemistry between Hannah and Will. On the other hand, Will said some things that aren’t really for me.
1: when Hannah told him about her breast reduction he literally seemed extremely offended. Idk if it was a joke or not but he kept talking about “god and blablabla how it’s a gift and blablabla why would you do that bla bla bla”
Ehhhh no i did not like that.
2: this guy is a middle aged man and cannot say the most basic things without confusing her?? Can you act like an adult?????? -

Hanna decided that she needed to be a little “sexier” and more confident in bed, so she asks for the help of Will, the biggest player and sexy guy she knows. They know each other since childhood and it seems to be the perfect plan. Just have sex, learn, go back o being friends.
Will thought the same, until he realized that their “deal” isn’t working anymore. And how can they player convince the girl that he’s ready to stop the game and having something real?
Wow, this book was an amazing surprise! Not only I really like both characters (yeah, I wanted to beat them at some moments, but overall, they were pretty good).
This was without a doubt my favorite book of the series so far. So if you’re looking for a steamy, sweet, addictive and “friends-to-lovers” story, this is a great bet.

It's been a while since I've read
Beautiful Stranger but the feels are still here so when
Beautiful Player called my attention the other day, I didn't resist it because I know I'm in for fun, sexy times.
The story begins when Hanna "Ziggy" Bergstrom turned to her childhood crush Will Sumner to ask for his 'guidance' on how to change her somewhat boring life and learn how to go out, have fun, and date guys. She's been living a scholarly life ever since, focusing only on her four-walled lab and with this, her family thinks she's clearly missing out. That's why hanging out with the playboy Will Sumner is a great opportunity. However, she and Will did not expect the chemistry that simmered the moment they saw each other again after years and keeping up a platonic relationship is almost too impossible.
I can't stand how swoon-worthy this book was. Will and Hanna's chemistry was on-point and it didn't help the fact that both characters are one helluva fun to read about. This is your typical friends-with-benefits book but it's clearly one of the best when it comes to this trope.
Their sizzling hot sex scenes got me all fired up. I couldn't also get over some of the hilarious scenes... like when they went to Hannah's parent's place where the chaos happened. lol. Man, I don't think I can ever get enough of these two!
The relationship development didn't happen abruptly, so I was happy. I loved that their sexy times transitioned to something more in the later chapters because for me, it was so believable and realistic.
I think this is the best book I've read in this series so far. I still have to read Beautiful Secret and I hope I will love it as much as I loved Beautiful Player. Sigh.

The things I loved about this book were plentiful, but I think it can be summed up by saying the plot in this is actually so fun and relatable, and you don't have to read the first two books in this series to enjoy it. Whereas for the Sweet Filthy Boy series, you should read the books beforehand to know the set-up, this pivots toward a character that hasn't been seen before much, so I think you could read this without reading the others and still really enjoy it, especially because the writing, romance, characters, and plot are even more elevated than they were previously in the series.
I like this series primarily because it's smutty and fun, but I go into them knowing that they're somewhat farfetched, raunchy, and delve into topics I'm not interested in or can't relate to. However, this book I actually think the main character was so much more humanized because her struggles were emotional and went beyond her desire to have sex. Her relationship/friendship/whatever with Will was so well developed and gradual, and the conflict of this was realistic and more plausible than the previous books, so it made me be able to see myself in the main character more than in previous books.
I really had no complaints with this book other than the plot of it is a little dry in comparison to some of their newer books, so it's more character driven than plot driven. I love character-driven stories, but the stakes in this felt very low because it was just them going running, going to work, going to the bar, then going home, and that was about it for most of the story. Still, I loved seeing the emotional journey the characters experienced together, and again, I would totally recommend this either in the series or as a standalone. -

I was a bit wary going into Beautiful Player, because of how disastrous the rest of the series is (for me). Knowing from the previous books that the plot is going to revolve around sex, my expectations were low. Therefore I was pleasantly surprised. It’s still sex-related and a good chunk of the book, but at least it has some substance to it, cause Will & Hanna have one of my favorite tropes, the ‘player-teaches-inexperience-girl-how-to-date-and-falls-head-over-heels-for-her-on-the-way’. I don’t think I’ve ever gave any book with that trope anything less than 4 stars, it’s just one of the tropes that works every. 👏single. 👏 time. 👏All that is rare for the rare.
Hanna Bergstrom (h) is a grad student and is spending all her time in a lab. When her family comes to visit her, her brother Jensen tells her to go out more and live her life. Hanna sees this as a challenge and calls Will Sumner (H), one of her brother’s best friend, to hang out. They go on a run every day and starting to become good friends. Will is helping Hanna with dating and exploring all kind of sexual areas. That was so much hotter letting Hanna explore everything from oral to the actual sex than them jumping right into bed together. That first handjob tho.. hottest HJ.
One of the best thing is that Beautiful Player has this ‘unrequired’ love thing that I also love so much. Because homeboy Will was whipped while Hanna was so chill about it. That guy worshipped the ground Hanna walked on as he should. Seeing him miserable while Hanna was going on dates with another guy was one of my highlight, there is something so satisfying about manwhores getting some of their own medicine. That’s the angst I’m living for.
WHY NOT 5 STARS:
Hanna and Will as individual characters are great and they are even better together. But these grown ass characters couldn't talk about their feelings AT ALL. I was just lowkey annoyed at Hanna and Will and how they couldn't solve their conflict, because they didn't talk to each other. Miscommunication is literally the worst and these two had it at the end, cause they were to chicken to talk about how their arrangement should be exclusive or not. Further, I hated how Hanna got the info from Kitty (one of Will's previous lovers) that he hasn't seen her for months, instead of Will telling her that. Having third parties mingle in the main characters problem is a bit annoying, cause i want them to solve the issues on their own.
Otherwise it's was such a fun book to read and after reading the previous books in the series, it finally felt like a reward getting to this one and liking it. That's on Will & Hanna <3

Like always I am late to this party. I read about the Stranger and the Bastard, but someone missed reading about the Player. Ms. Lauren’s writing is always extremely hot and entertaining. Through in a “brother’s best friend” type story and I am SOLD! I love these types of books. These books give the sneaking around/forbidden love and usually a happy ending for the girl or guy who always had a childhood crush.
In Beautiful Player, we meet Hanna, or Ziggy as her family likes to call her, she is a nerdy girl…and I mean this in the best possible way. She is crazy smart, eccentric and has no filter. I loved these qualities in Hanna. The things she said had me LMAO.
"Actually, yeah. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted someone so much I would beg for it. A cookie? Yes. A cock? No.”
She is in school getting her doctorate when her older brother decides to have an ‘intervention.” He wants Hanna to get out of the lab, meet people, live a little. Nothing extreme just live her life instead of focusing on solely on school. He suggests she meet up with college buddy Will.
Will Sumner knows hot to show a girl a good time, and Hanna still remembers the stories and watching Will when she was growing up. She takes her brother’s advice and decides to call Will, at like 5 in the morning…see eccentric. Will decides he will help Hanna and they begin running together in the morning.
This is when Hanna and Will get to know each other, gradually through conversation. Will is attracted to Hanna, but doesn’t feel right about having feelings for the younger girl who happens to be his buddy’s younger sister.
Hanna has always had a crush on Will, but knows he is a player so nothing serious could ever come form her feelings. So she is fine with being friends and having him teach her how to be social and eventually date. Yes, this is when things get a little complicated for the two. Having to fight their attraction for each other, when everything is telling them to just let go.
Like I said before, I love this type of book and really enjoyed this one in particular. It is a sweet story, yes, but also incredibly hot. I highly recommend if you are looking for a sweet read that is also off the charts sexy.

I love that we get the whole gang in each book. The banter between them all is one of my favorite things about this series. I pretty much laughed through the whole book.
I have really loved all of the characters.
So Will and Ziggy. Ziggy aka Hanna is the little sister of Jensen....who went to college with Will. Ziggy is on her way to becoming a scientist. She studies alot and doesn't really have a life outsife of work. She doesn't go out and doesn't have a lot of friends. At the insistence of Jensen, Ziggy calls Will up....looking to expand her social horizons.
I really, really liked Ziggy. She was blunt, crass, abrupt. The filter between her brain and mouth...GONE! But it was perfect. Ziggy's always had a bit of a crush on Will. And Ziggy is no longer the kid sister but a smart, strong, tough chick.
Their relationship kind of starts out as Will "coaching" Ziggy on the aspects of dating and being with men. Afterall, he's the expert

Sadly, the drama or conflict came from mis-communication...which is really my only complaint. But it wasn't drug out endlessly, everything was resolved pretty quickly.
This was another great addition to the Beautiful Bastard series. All that's left is Bennett and Chloe's wedding. I am going to be so sad when I have to say goodbye to my Beautiful boys!!! This is a series that I will definitely be reading again!!!! -

I have been reading the Beautiful Bastard series with my Buddy, Shurrn. Through this experience I have stumbled into the fantasy land of Bennett learning to love Chloe. I then met the wonderful Max and watched with fascination his courtship of Sara.
In Beautiful Player, it is Will’s turn to be under the microscope. His journey is a very special one because although he will be asked to be the teacher, he will end up learning from his student.
Hanna, also known as Ziggy by family and Will, is in grad school focusing on all things nerdy and scientific. She is so concentrated on just finishing, her life has been slipping away…. No parties… No serious encounters...no real social interactions and her family is a little concerned. They ambush her; force to see her dilemma and make her promise to reach out to Will, her brother Jenson’s long time friend and Max’s business partner.
Hanna has a history with Will; she met him when she was 12 to his 19 and learned through observation all things Will. He was sex on a stick.
Will was what women loved… Will also broke hearts… at least from Hanna’s little history of him through the grapevine. So to reach out to see if Will can assist her socially, was kinda daunting ....because who was he now?
The Will Hanna meets up with has everything neatly compartmentalized. He has women he sees on specific days of the week with no relationship complications. Nothing is messy and he has liked it that way.
He has felt, though, a little out of sorts with his friends all paired up recently … and that has left him uneasy.
Will sees Hanna and she is not the same girl he has always thought of… he saw her grow older over the years and now as a woman of 24 … she is something else all together.
As a way for them to “hang out”, Hanna agrees to run with him in the mornings. He is a marathoner and challenges her to train and do a half marathon in a couple of months. She agrees and what takes place next is very interesting….
You see Hanna has always be a free thinker… someone comfortable to just say what is on her mind without fear… and Will has been on her mind for years… he was her sexual fantasy… her dream lover and now he is right there…. open to talk with her about anything…..And since Will knows sex… and Hanna hasn’t really ever had great sex… who better to discuss this with… who better to be frank about these things… because after all.. they both think like scientists and who else could she really learn from.
They embark on a journey of Hanna doing porn research and asking Will to do things with her… he becomes her guide, her teacher in how to date, have casual sex and interact with others.
The unexpected happens with Will becoming Hanna’s student… she stuns him; causes him to feel and want more than he has ever wanted from a woman and it shakes him to his core.
The sexy times between these two are so fresh in how they are presented. Because really…. How do we learn about sex?
If we are lucky, we meet and experience closeness; and that chemistry which allows our bodies to react with all the right tingles, forgives the clumsiness of young love. But there is no guarantee of that happening and our character, Hanna decides to use porn as an instructional guide with Will. He takes her step by step; carefully without pushing her boundaries, letting her lead the way. They both switch roles… she, learning there is more than the mechanics…. He experiencing an intensity and need like nothing before. The writing was true, hot and totally understandable for the characters.
This is a very endearing tale with the ups and downs of understanding how to handle relationships honesty and with growth. I think the authors have really developed over the series. They know their characters, have a rhythm and seem to be in their groove with all of the stories.
Our next stop is the upcoming marriage of Bennett and Chloe with all of the gang in Beautiful Beginnings. I have chosen my wedding outfit and I am ready to go….

DNF at 70%. This book was just crap. Beautiful Player is pure male fantasy drivel passing off for romance. Hanna is such a stereotypical "dumb" smart bombshell with her skinny ass body and her gigantic boobs and proportion rarely seen outside of gaming art or a porno. Her boobs that even after reduction surgery continues to remain ginormous while the rest of her is skinny AF. Oh and she also doesn't know much about sex and has to ask Will to, you know, teach her. *cue the cheesy music*. He obviously falls for her dumb babe without a filter routine, her great tits, and wonderful (almost) makeup free face. Because male fantasy.
Despite being a grad student and supposedly a genius, Hanna's personality is essentially reduced to nothing more than a pair of great tits and a tight ass. Other than some slight technical jargon thrown in to prove she's a grad student, they basically forget all about it because well why talk about a woman's career, ambition, or interests when you can talk about her boobs and objectify her in 50 different ways per conversation??? *slow clap* It behooves me to think this book was written by two women and is catered mainly towards the female demographic.
The love interest is somehow even more annoying than our female protagonist. Will is the epitome of playa-ness. So much so, he religiously pencils in his sex appointments with 2 different women (and maybe others?). Women with names like Kitty and Kristy. *cue my violent eye rolling at this point*. Oh, and Will obviously has the sex appeal and stamina of a God and has to frequently go on triathlons so he "doesn't want to fuck all the time." *cue my historical laughter at this point* Obviously he falls head over heels in love with our virginal Hanna...because novelty? Virgin fetish? Caveman mentality? Wait scratch that. Knowing Will he's probably not thinking that deep. I'm just gonna go on a limb and guess her "tits" is the main reason. But sure, try to convince me otherwise.
I really liked
Dating You / Hating You for doing the unconventional and actually having some depth with its plot and characters. I loved the bantering, the dialogues between our leads, and the genuine conversation they would have when they get to know each other. Women in that book felt like real women I would have loved to get to know and maybe hang out with sometimes. It's a crying shame that this book is the exact opposite. I'm just disgusted by the filter through which we see the women and relationships in this book. 0.5 Stars for the hot sex scenes. Everything else I would like to erase from my head and forget this shit ever happened. -

He typed so much faster than I did, and his response appeared almost immediately. It's not nearly as hot when I have to explain it. New rule: you need to be at least borderline competent in the art of sexting.
Understanding went off like a lightbulb in my head. Oh! And ha! "Sexting." Clever, Will.
What can I say? I absolutely loved all things Hanna and Will! With Will's booty call scheduling, playboy ways and Hanna's socially awkward yet completely open and honest personality, these two kept me entertained the entire story.
I'm going to be honest and say that the first book in this series, Beautiful Bastard was not for me. The constant ripping of pricey underwear coupled with the fact that Bennett's personality reminded me of an 80s era James Spader, who just so you know, scared the bejesus out of my preteen self with his assholery, just didn't work for me. To say this sweet and utterly sexy story was a pleasant surprise would be an understatement. I started reading it for the "little sister has a huge ass crush on big brother's best friend" aspect but I stuck around because I loved watching these two start to feel the serious sexy time heat. The sensitive, panty melting bit of male hotness that is Will falling hard for the awkward and boobalicious Hanna rocked my world just a bit.
"I was twelve. You were a nineteen-year old hot friend of my brother who joked about sex in our house. You were practically a mythical creature."
Yes, Hanna. Will's always been all kinds of hot. And he's inordinately fascinated with your rack. Go get your man, girl! -
I finally got around to listening to this audiobook. It has been sitting in my Audible library for quite some time and I decided to give it a listen during my daily commute. As far as audiobooks go, the narration was great and the story moved along at a nice pace.
Like earlier books in this series, 'Beautiful Player' proved to be feisty and highly entertaining. Will and Hannah were hysterical together. I loved their "anything goes" banter. I also liked that these two had history together, even if they hadn't been romantically involved. Knowing that they had known each other for years made their relationship seem less like "insta-love" and increased the credibility.
Although the two experienced some growing pains, it didn't seem overly dramatic or far-fetched. I could easily relate to the characters and laugh at their antics. I believed their love story and the chemistry between the two.
This story was fun and sexy! It was straightforward and easy to follow along with while driving, etc. I enjoyed every minute! -

The relationship between them starts as a friendship.They are so comfortable when they are together and Hannah feels free to ask questions about sex and what she must do with men! Will has never loved anyone and he finds Hannah very interesting! His soft side begins to emerge as their friendship strengthened...

One might assume that Hanna was presented as naive and virginal in her quest to claim her sexuality. However, that was not the case. She was presented as incredibly intelligent - merely curious and a bit awkward because she doesn't censor her thoughts or feelings. She is driven to succeed in all things, so it was mastery of sexuality that she was looking for. Hanna was treating it like everything else in her life - If she's taught by experts in the field & spends enough time studying the issue, she will become proficient.
And sure, Will is a Player, but he's a lovable player in the process of reforming himself. He takes the opportunity to teach Ziggy the dating ropes, and hold her hand (um… quite literally at times) as she embraces her inner bombshell. I love that we had the chance to see the moment where Will had to analyze his behavior toward his casual female companions… When he runs into Dylan, the college boy Ziggy has gone out with a few times, and realizes what the previous women in his life must have felt like. Had they ever run into each other on the street, and how did that make them feel? Brilliant.
The story was well crafted in its progression. The growing sexual tension between the two main characters was great - the playful flirting was especially enjoyable. I mention this because it is an often overlooked element in the Modern Romance genre, where the characters often jump into bed immediately and then try to sort out their emotions…
That said, the sex was off-the-charts hot (in keeping with the previous panty-melting books in the series)… Will instructing Hanna techniques for pleasure was sensual rather than controlling. His desire to help Hanna explore her sexuality in a safe environment - with a person who cares for her welfare - allows Will to consider his previous sexual relationships to date.
The humor really made this book - the interaction between Ziggy and Will made the progression of their relationship believable. And of course, the rest of the Beautiful Bastard Gang was there to watch Will finally fall head-over-heels for a girl.“Ben,” Max said, leaning back in his chair with a giant grin. “It’s finally happened.”

I didn't think I could love anyone as much as Max Stella, but I do! I LOVED Will. And finally his time for love has come! This was a fun, sexy read with some serious scorching, steamy scenes. If I could base my rating on Will alone then this would be a 4.5-5 stars for me. But I had a few issues with Hanna.
Besides marriage of inconvenience, I love the best friends sister storyline. It's one of my faves. But because of Hanna this story quickly went to one of my least favorite plots which is "friends with benefits". There were times when I wanted to ring Hanna's neck! Will clearly wanted to be in a relationship with her, but because of his debauched past she kept pushing him away. That to me was becoming a bit annoying, because me personally I would have a hard time pushing Will away. Also, it was really hard to believe that Hanna was so inexperienced when she admitted to sleeping with 5 men. I didn't mind the whole inexperienced vibe with Hanna, but I don't think it suited her much.
Overall, even though it fell flat in the middle, it was still enjoyable, sexy and funny. I definitely think it's worth reading if only for Will. And if you don't mind the friends with benefits storyline then you'd love this book!:) -

Everyone, and I mean everyone has told me how much they love Will and it made me really curious about his book. I mean, he's been okay? A little picked on by Max and Bennett...and he seemed fun loving, crazy and definitely girl crazy. And that was totally true...after all, it's called Beautiful Player for a reason.
What I really loved about this book is that Will doesn't even know what hit him! I LOVE when the guy falls hard and the girl is unsure. There's just nothing better!
Will is sooo willing too. He will do anything that Hanna wants and he LOVES it. It's just so great!
The very best thing though is Ziggy, aka Hanna. She's Will's best friend in college little sister who started swooning over Will when she was just twelve years old. She's a totally lab rat though and her brother has come to pull her out and make her get a life. She promises to do so and calls Will and the rest is history. The funny thing is that Hanna has no filter around Will and she wants to learn everything!
And wow...once the good get going, the GOOD gets going. These two are super steamy and I loved how they started off with the fundamentals even if it took a while to get to the full show. It was very intense! And I loved how he called her "Plum" but I almost like it better when he called her Hanna instead of Ziggy.
But I loved their intellectual discussions as well. It was great that they were on the same wavelength. And as always, I loved getting both their POVs.
And one of the best things about this series is that all the other characters are still around. They are all good friends. I loved how Bennett and Max gave Will a hard time but how they were all there for him as well. It was wonderful how the girls took to Hanna right away.
Of course there has to be some drama. It was kind of hard to believe that someone as "forthright" as Hanna would hold out on Will but it needed to happen. I was surprised at how Kitty handled things...I expected her to be a total witch!
Gotta love that ending...Will is just so sweet! And the epilogue was cute. I can't wait to read Beautiful Beginning!

Without doubt, this was my favourite installment in the "Beautiful Bastard" series thus far. There is no doubt, there is no question, only a true testament.
Where do I even begin?
I guess at the beginning...
Holy hell, Will is a character. A character that I truly enjoyed. One part "player", one part softie, and all parts desirable.
But beyond that, the story was filled with everything a romance story needs. I was hooked line and sinker and didn't put the book down until it was completed. You read that right, it was one of those rare books that had to be read in one sitting. If anything, that should give you an inkling to the amount of sexual tension between the two main characters. I NEEDED TO KNOW HOW IT ENDED.
After reading this novel, I am excited to read the next novel in this series as well as the many other Christina Lauren books that I haven't read. I think their books will be the perfect addition to my life. -

Enjoyable.
The story itself is good, although I felt it was very heavily weighted in sexual encounters & not as much emotional investment as I would have liked. I did enjoy that it was Will who fell head over heels first. What I didn't particularly enjoy was Hannah's ridiculous naive approach to dating. She drove me a bit batty with her "teach me" moments. I'm glad Will found it hot (I guess a lot of men might), but it just didn't really work for me.
It's an audio-book, so the voice acting does play a big role. I enjoyed both of the voice actors very much. Independently, either one of them could have pulled off the story, but I was happy to have both a male and a female for the back and forth pov's.
Overall, a great way to spend my daily work commute. Although, I was certain to keep the windows up & the A/C on, since I didn't want my fellow motorists to overhear all the thrusting and licking going on in this story. *sweating* -

Hanna Bergstrom aka Ziggy/Plum is a 24 yr. old woman in grad school for biomedical engineering. She has moved to New York, and is living in her parents Manhattan apartment. She has sort of been an awkward geek most of her life. She doesn't have many friends, and spends most of her time in the lab.
Hanna is the youngest of 5 kids. Her older brother Jensen has always been overprotective and tried to micromanage her life. Hanna's dad and brother come to visit, and her brother is relentless in lecturing Hanna about needing a social life. He thinks she is a smart, fun, beautiful girl, and she needs an intervention to break her away from her research centered life. He convinces her to call his best friend Will who also lives in New York, & suggests they get together. He feels Will is the perfect person to show Hanna some fun.
Will Sumner is a 31 yr. old playboy. He plays the field, and knows how to have a good time. Hanna met Will the Christmas she was 12 when her brother brought home his college friend for the holidays. Will was a 19 yr. old cool, gorgeous guy in a band, who only saw Hanna as Jensen's kid sister. He continued to visit with Jensen and even lived with them one summer, working for her father.
For years Hanna fantasized over her brothers bad boy best friend. Will was the object of all her teenage dreams, and the first boy she ever truly wanted. Hanna hasn't seen Will in a few years, but takes her brothers advice about needing more balance in her life. She calls Will, and he invites her to meet for a run.
When Hanna shows up to run, Will is shocked by how much little Ziggy has grown up, and filled out in all the right places. He is very attracted to grown up Hanna, and finds they really enjoy each others company. She is naïve, and unfiltered, and Will finds her refreshing. They run almost every morning, and Will kind of coaches Hanna on what guys want in a woman. Hanna becomes more confident in herself, and enjoys spending time with Will & his friends. Eventually Will realizes he just might want Hanna for himself. He has become quite attached to her and is falling for her.
I just love a brothers best friend romance. Max was my favorite in the beautiful men series, but now it's Will. Will is just so damn delicious!!! YUMMMMMM!!!! :D

They haven't seen each other in a few years and Hanna is now finished with college and decides to give Will a call. They meet up for a run....and they become great friends. Hanna is not experienced with sex at all and asks Will for help. Of course he's up for the challenge...he's a guy, right? He's a huge player and doesn't do relationships.....will Hanna change his ways?? This series is Sexy, Funny, and Amazing!

The last "Beautiful" man in this fabulous series.

Will is the last holdout amongst his friends, Max and Bennett, to need love. Oh he has sex, sex without strings and he is happy for it to stay that way. He is organized and a scheduler. What more can he need. He's 31 yrs old and is happy with his life. One day his old college roommate asks a favor, to meet his little sister and help her "get out" in the city. She is a scientist and is always in the lab. She needs to live alittle. How could he refuse, he loved the Bergstrom family. So he meets "Ziggy"......and well Ziggy is all grown up and not that little kid he remembered.
The fact that she was disarmingly genuine and funny and surprisingly pretty shouldn't have thrown me so dramatically.
Bennett straightened joining in. "It's about finding the woman who gets you thinking. She'll be the one who'll change your mind about everything."
This story is about discovering new feelings, unmasking old feelings and going home. It's about too much communication and not enough. Will is a player and Hanna knows it. She wants to learn from him but not at the expense of her heart. She would need to remember: Secret agent. Like a Ninja. Learn from the best.
This story starts as a friends with benefits relationship, Will teaching Hanna the ropes so to say. She's not a virgin, just not someone with a lot of experience. Somewhere along the way, feelings start to develop. While they are both very honest to one another, communicating about their real feelings is somehow missed. This is a super sweet, sexy, romantic story. It has Bennett, Chloe, Max and Sara making appearances and giving their two cents. The relationship that all these characters have with one another only enhances the series. This books is the perfect blend of steamy sex and discovering love when you least expect it.
I can't recommend this book/series enough!! It's Fabulicious!!
