I LOVE John Taylor ("Father John" the sexy Dom) and Kelly, the heroine makes me laugh. Mostly set in a BDSM club, 'Bound and Freed' is pretty damn hot. I defy anyone to read this series and not happy cry at the end of this book. One of my best.

Bound and Freed was a boxed set of five brief stories /parts that combined into one full story. The title was fitting in both a life journey and a BDSM lifestyle.
Sex therapist, Andre’ Chevalier. The author opened with his POV and then creatively interspersed it throughout the entire book.
Patient and Sadist Dom, John Taylor. He suffered when he was young to where he shut down his capacity to feel, including sex.
Sub, Kelly Flynn. She had a few issues of her own, but nothing compared to John. From afar she crushed on John as she made her way through the Doms of the BDSM Club, the Basement.
The POV was told in parts as an introduction to each character: Andre’, Kelly, then John. I loved the build up to finally get inside John’s mind. And what a surprise that was unloaded when we finally did get there! I didn’t see that twist coming! But that was just the first of many.
The story was clinically written, in more ways than one. It was a little slow to start - repetitive, but as the story began to unfold, it was more interesting, especially as suspenseful aspects were introduced into the plot. But I have to admit, to get where the story needed to go, details became dark and disturbing. There was even one point where I couldn’t read the full details without grimacing. I had to think happy thoughts to get through it. In the end, I loved the full circle. Kelly’s words said it best: “I like happy endings, and soft furry animals, and I prefer to think of everyone in the world as kind and trustworthy.” It was a journey to get there, but for me, the author ultimately did get there. -
Oh John Taylor! Will be days before I can move past him.
Awesome series, very sexy, very erotic and intense. Great and compelling story line that flows with such ease, makes this a must read. Never a dull moment makes it hard to put down.
Bless me Father John for I have...Just kidding. He's not really a man of the cloth but he will have you confessing your deepest, darkest secret, only to have you begging for mercy afterwards.

I received this book as part of the TBR read for an honest view by the author.
I so wanted to give this book 5 stars, the start was just wow. The book is a box set of multiple books, but they actually fit together exceedingly well. I will never look at being trapped in a lift with a stranger the same again. This scene was awesome, I so warmed to John at this stage. In the first few books, I thought John was just so hot, the fact he was so mysterious and so in control, knowing what people were thinking because he was reading their body language. For me this was mind blowing, but then I'm sorry but he then just lost appeal, especially when he fell head over heals for Kelly. For me it felt like his mind turned to mush! . I realise he had his life issues, but he lost his Dom appeal. Their relationship took on more the vanilla rather than the S/m. I would have loved to see him teach her to appreciate pain, and I would have loved to have seen what she would have thought of a bull whip used on her..viewed her feelings, would she hate it, or learn to love it?... Or is this just a sadistic side of me?
Over all though I did love this box set and would read more from this author. They are very well written, and totally absorb the reader.

I wish people gave honest reviews. With that being said this book was so/so. It was not brilliant or amazing.
Yes, John has serious issues and we find out later what kind of happened. It is told without telling. There aren't too many details given but I guess you don't need too many because of the circumstance. I would have liked to read more of what he went through at once rather than here and there to understand him. John is sadistic and a take charge Dom. Where Kelly is the eager to please Sub. This I suppose is normal and well played out.
My problem with this book is it is too choppy. The book is almost wrote in scenes. There isn't much flow. The book also seemed rushed. If you want BDSM read 50 shades. The story line is better and the sex is hotter. I don't feel like this was worth $5 it's average at best. -
Wow, talk about damaged backgrounds! John’s was nightmarish and has left him scarred both physically and emotionally. He has worked at dealing with his past but has only been able to go so far. His work as a BDSM dom has helped him but he’s still left isolated and lonely.
Kelly has admired Father John since setting eyes on him. She would love nothing more than to talk to him and get to know him but he terrifies her. When a failed elevator spins her into her own nightmare, John is there to help her out.
This is another amazing story by the author who surely is some kind of sex therapist in real like. Is she isn’t, she should be. This is a story of filling the holes in your life in a healthy manner while opening yourself up to the potential that is within. I loved getting to know both John and Kelly.
If you love tortured heroes, you totally need to meet John.

This was a very interesting and captivating novel. I’m still thinking about it days later.
The author develops some amazingly vivid scenes throughout this novel. These scenes weren’t necessarily even erotically based (although those were definitely there as well). There was mystery, suspense, heartbreak, and relationship drama galore. She keeps the novel intense without it becoming vulgar or garish. There is a stark contrast between the prayers to God and the subject matter that heightens this intensity. I really appreciate how the author approaches the world of BDSM. She does so with tact and class. She also approaches it in such a manner that you realise how much there is to this world, and what it really means to those there. She introduces you to the scene in a positive manner that you can’t help but be captivated by. She explains some terms and practices common to the scene so that unfamiliar readers can get into the story. She does so very tactfully and without breaking the overall flow of the story.
This story was very intriguingly written, even if the writing did become a little disjointed at times. Amazingly enough, this added to the mystique of the novel. There are times when the author uses the same phrases and thoughts repeatedly. Although disconcerting at the beginning it really adds to the character development. The shortened sentences and small issues with grammar also become superfluous. In most other works I’d say that the novel needs to be re-edited. In this one, it adds so much to the story that I was very surprised.
I enjoyed how the author develops her characters. She doesn’t dump a pile of information on her readers all at once. Rather, she gives small glimpses into the past to provide understanding into the present and the future. It gives insight into the characters and more depth to the story. The large variety of character types who interact with each other gives a very unique perspective of the world as a whole, as well as the world of BDSM. She combines this world with real and heart wrenching relationship issues that make you feel for and want to help out these brilliant characters.
I also really appreciate the symbolism behind the title of this boxed set. Not only does it apply to the subject matter at hand, but also to more than one character. That’s all I’ll say about this. Read the novels and you’ll find out.
My overall impression? Whether you’re a Dom, a Sub, or neither, this series makes you re-evaluate what’s important in your life.

I read this about a month ago and had forgotten that I read it until I was going through the BDSM listopia and saw the title. Yeah, just that memorable. This was not a story that made me want to get out my BOB. It had an okay plot and was about a couple that used BDSM in their relationship but if you are looking for something like the stories Kallypso Masters and Cherise Sinclair put out this is not the book for you.

Kelly and John spend the night in happy bliss after being rescued from the elevator.

Unfortunately, the next morning Kelly finds something disturbing and questions the entire meeting and the feelings that she has for John. And she leaves John without even finding out the answer to the number one question. Why????
I understand the Kelly's character is hurt but seriously ask WHY. John has not lied to Kelly about anything and he has answered all her questions thus far.
Punished (Book #4)
Kelly finds out why John had her file and feels terrible at her reaction. Being that John is a Dom and Kelly is a sub John punishes her for her actions. Kelly is willing to do whatever it takes to win John back. Kelly knows she was wrong and needs to fix it. A week goes by and both parties have been miserable without the other. Kelly is finally punished and John and Kelly talk about the events and about where their "relationship" is going.
Connected (Book #5)
We left off with Kelly and John moving forward with their relationship.
John has issues of the past and Kelly is just happy go lucky girl next door.
Some of John's issues of the past are revealed and how his mother and father are involved.
Kelly & John engage in a romantic relationship and John meets Kelly’s family.
John is accused of murder and has to clear his name and upon doing so his childhood secrets are revealed. But he has to clear his name and take away Kelly's doubt of his nature.
I feel that this story has been done a million times since 50 Shades of Grey. Guy with a disturbing past with a need to DOMINATE others or hurt others, sweet girl just wanting to meet MR. RIGHT.
Series was ok but just need new storyline and not the same premise as everyone else. I have not read a lot of BSDM books so this one was a little disturbing to me. I just don’t get it really. Why would anyone want to be CONTROLLED or DOMINATED. I guess for me it was not as much of the LOVING FEEL I was looking for.

At midnight I told myself that I would finish to read Freed..yeah right, I wen to bed at half four in the morning, having finished the boxed set!
I read Bound before and I was completely in love with John Taylor, I knew he was troubled by his past, but I didn't realize to which extent. He is such an amazing man, and you can't help but love him more when you learn about his history and his parents, so crazy and inhumane.
It's a great story, that goes well beyond the sex and the attraction between Kelly and John, even if they're hot..it's about this man and the shitty life he had, and the way he coped with all of it..it's about love and connection to another, the way this love liberates you and the way you can change thanks to it.
I love Kelly and John together and I love the story. It's compelling and interesting, even if certain things are cruel and I felt sad and even angry, but mostly I was just lost in John's words and the way he treated Kelly, with so much respect..at one point I even cried for his words, so beautiful and always caring! -
I had run across the couple in this story in one of Nikki's other books, and wanted to know more about them. I was also intrigued about Andre Chevalier. I am not a fan of the serial book craze, so was happy to find the bundle with all the books put together like a real book! John Taylor is revered at The Basement, an exclusive BDSM club in the Portland area. He is a sadist who is in high demand, the subs he works with love him, but no one has ever seen him have sex. Kelly Flynn is a young woman who joined the club on a temporary membership a month ago and has a huge crush on John, but she is not into pain so keeps her distance. When they get trapped together in the elevator, things change for them both. I loved learning about John, his background and difficulties, and seeing how Kelly helped him to grow and change. The story was interesting with a mystery involved, and the sex scenes were hot, hot, hot. I wish Andre had featured more in the book, but overall I enjoyed the story!

My least favorite was book 2. But when it is all put together I just can't bring myself to give it less stars.

I loved this series & quickly became immersed. Once I entered this world, I didn't want to leave. There were fascinating characters with whom I could relate, care about & fall in lust & love. There was surprising depth, psychological aspects & emotion that is hard to find, especially in books with this degree of heat.
The sensual component of this series was done masterfully. My word! There was an intensity and a building of suspense & tension that made me weak in the knees. The author is truly gifted.
Once I started reading, I didn't want to put it down. It made me gasp, sigh, pant, smile, laugh & fall in love. I highly recommend this series to open-minded people who want an intensely emotional psychological journey. Enjoy. -

While this book has a huge amount of hott ass sex scenes, and I’m talking panty melting hott here, there is still a really great (if emotionally disturbing) story behind all that great sex. Watching these two fall in love and learn about themselves as well as each other was beautiful. They couldn’t be more opposite personalities but the balance each other perfectly. Throw in some mystery, deception and murder and what you have is one hell of a story. I am glad I got the box set so I was able to breeze right from one story to the next without pause, it was impossible to put down. The author really sucks you into the story and these characters lives so thoroughly, it was difficult to pull back out. So glad I downloaded this, it drew me into a genre I was previously shying away from and now can’t stop thinking about, I’m completely addicted!!

I’m going to be completely upfront, this set is straight-up erotica with about 90% of the story focusing on sex. Author Nikki Sex makes the sex scenes between Kelly and John so unbelievably hot I swear I could hear sizzling noises as I read. But what really made the story work for me is that in the 10% of the story not focusing on sex I really found myself caring about John and Kelly. I wanted John to find some deserved peace and for Kelly to find a life partner that truly loved her for her. I don’t know what I was expecting when I started reading these stories but I honestly wasn’t expecting to enjoy them as much as I did.
As a side note, when I started getting into reviewing books my husband and I had a talk about other people seeing what I was reading and possibly judging me for it. I have had a lifelong love of books, any genre, from geeky sci-fi to sweet Young Adult to down and dirty “Mommy Porn.” To me, not posting about books I enjoyed would be dishonest and I’m more comfortable with myself putting it out there. Being at peace with your own self is a huge part of the “Bound and Freed” stories and I think lead character Kelly sums it up best:
“Who knew? That man on his knees could be the chief of police, or the CEO of a multinational company. The same was true for women of course. Confident, successful and dominant women outside the bedroom often wanted their partners to be in-charge during sex. There was no all-encompassing stereotype. People needed what they needed.”
Show author Nikki Sex some love (and maybe enjoy a little yourself) by picking up this set.

Nikki has a way of portraying the scene so vividly and perfectly.
I love her writing – so fresh and honest. Her characters are so real and raw at the same time. So well developed and the storyline flows like magic.
John, or as he’s know at the BDSM club, Father John, is emotionally empty and damaged and has a shocking and agonizing past he’s extremely emotionally detached from others in his personal life but as a Dom at the club he has a healing hand. He has the power to release the pain and darkest secrets from others and make them feel better. To some he is their healing hero.
Kelly is insecure, somewhat not perfect and beautifully voluptuous. She is an eager to please new sub at the BDSM club and has a huge crush on John, as well as some other secrets.
When they are trapped in the elevator together, electricity courses through both of them. Is Kelly the person who will save John? Is she the one to set him free from his tortured soul? Will John accept her and what she can do for him?
I was so captivated by this story, I just could not put them down. It was erotically sexy, sensual and stimulating as well as being heart wrenching, full of intensity, suspense and tension. The scenes really blew me away with so much depth and emotion throughout it all.
It made me feel a number of emotions all the time. I was smiling and laughing, tearing up as well as panting and sighing and falling in love with these characters.
And of course Andrea Chevalier makes an appearance as John’s best friend. A Nikki Sex book is not completed with, smooth, sexy and suave Andrea Chavelier. I so want one of him in my life.

This was a wonderfully sweet story. John Taylor, sexy handsome good but very broken. Kelly Flynn, a strikingly beautiful girl, not without her own hangups.
John had had years of abuse from the people who should love him unconditionally, his parents. Who had a D/s relationship, but we don't find that out until later.
Kelly has recently joined a BDSM club, and begins to hone her submissive ways, she loves to watch John when he is working a scene, the other subs all love John, and want him to top them, but Kelly has fallen for him in a very big way, and we find the feelings are reciprocated.
They end up sharing the lift together when it suddenly looses power and Kelly starts to have a pas nic attack. Its from here where they begin the start of their romance, and very hot sexual relationship. The sex scenes are scorching hot, you feel like you are a voyeur.
We learn all about John and how Andre taught him how to live, the reason as to why he never climaxes or gets intimate with the subs from the club, its not been an easy time. He is in love with Kelly, and she has already fallen in love with him. After the lift episode, they embark on a high octane sex life.
There are big trials and tribulations thrown their way, all starts with the murder of John's therapist, with john being the main suspect. The police totally think he is responsible. As John begins to interact socially, his trueself starts to shine through.
We find out who killed John's therapist, when they set fire to John's house, it all ends in John and Kelly's favour with John being really poorly.
I loved how this lovely story took us from an intense couple falling in love and embarking on a truly happy fullfilled relationship. They deserve every happiness, really enjoyed this story thanks Nikki. -
This was a very interesting and captivating story... I am giving it 4.5 stars.
It's a little bit on the dark side -story wise, but not toooo much. There was mystery, suspense, child abuse ( nothing too graphic) a very sweet love story, and lots of heated moments in this novel. I have to give it to the author, she introduced BDSM with lots of class. She showed that there is more to BDSM life style then what we generally read about.
The writing wasn't the greatest but the the story was intriguing. It kept me interested! The characters were just as interesting to read about as the story it self. I like that the characters slowly developed in front of our eyes, gave it a more realistic feeling. John Taylor, had a disturbing and horrific childhood. It made him the man he was. Dark and emotionless, he had his reason to be detached and cut off from the people around him. Kelly Flynn, was his opposite in every aspect, and that made her perfect for him. She was his light in the dark.
She changes him, and their journey is beautiful in its own special way.
I really liked this novel and I would definitely recommend this book!

WOW what a box set, I was struck from the start by the closed of character of John Taylor, I just knew that something had happened to him in his past, however I don't think I was fully prepare for where this story went, it had me in tears, and full of rage, and feeling physically sick to my stomach and what made it even worse for me is I know out there in the world there are real live people who have experienced these types of things , and that is just so wrong.
Nikki told Johns past in a matter of a fact way it came out just a bit at a time, what I really loved about these books was it was like seeing in your minds eye, John turn from a closed off bud, into a full blossoming flower, which I really love, I am a person who believes light always conquers dark.
I love a story about two characters that are total opposites, and how they attract and complement each other I love to read a story with a lot going on and these books have that, I enjoyed this story more than I thought I would, it's now in my favs
