The fantastic third part of the series!

4,5* Addicted stars from me
I can't believe it what a huge cliffhanger, i'm on edge right now. The author once again did an amazing job, the third installment didn't disappoint at all and i feel beyond happy that there is more to come in the series.
The third installment was as well full of suspense and passion, though i have to say i truly missed Theo in this part (Yeah i'm a big fan of his character). The previous book left us were Theo's ex was pregnant with his baby, well i won't say what's happening after that but it's truly remarkable how things will change quickly course with twists and many unexpected surprises also the scenes with Elle were really adorable. The pace in some parts of the book was steady and in some others fast, in addition the characters evolved a lot and even if you aren't fan of them you definitely will after this part. Overall it was very enjoyable and it's definitely one of the stories you can't get bored, for it's like watching episodes of my favorite paranormal romance series! I can't wait to read the next installment. -

Paperbacks and Frosting
This was my favorite book of this series by far. I didn't have the same issue as I did with the last one. While the reader still might be confused if they chose to pick up this book without reading the other two, I feel like there was enough backstory explained that it wouldn't have been nearly has confusing as if they had started with the second one. I loved the direction this story has taken. I wasn't sure what I was hoping for and I didn't know what was going to happen next. There are definitely times that I want to pick Sar up and shake her. I feel like some of her decisions aren't necessarily the best ones and it makes me dislike her sometimes. I love the chemistry she has with Danial though. A lot of times in stories like this I can't feel the chemistry and that makes it much easier for me to stop caring about what happens to their relationship. That has never been the case in this series though. This installment is an emotional roller coaster from start to finish and it was hard to put down. I would definitely recommend this book to fans of the paranormal genre. I would, of course, recommend starting with the first one, but if you don't want to do that, this one is a great one. It won't leave you disappointed. It's full of emotion and suspense. :) I can't wait for the next book and you won't be able to wait either once you read the last page of this one. :) -
WOW!! I missed the first two books of the series, so I was confused, but not for long! Sarelle McGarran had been a young widow until she met Danial Racklan a sexy vampire. They came together and she pledged her oath to him. Two months later, Sar had stomach pains so severe only to discover that Danial had taken a potion to get her pregnant without her knowledge, but worse yet she had a miscarriage! She needed to go home and rethink their relationship as Danial clearly wanted to control her and that wasn't happening............
Theo, Danial's best friend, a were cougar, and body guard had to curb his feelings for Sarelle as she was Danial's chosen but it was hard to see her and his best friend together. When Daniel told him to keep watch over his chosen he had no idea what would happen. -
I was intrigued. That is the real reason why I picked up this book, and you know what? I wasn’t disappointed. When you read vampire romances, after a while, you know it all. It’s hard to tell which author and which character you’re reading about.
Not with Tara Fox Hall. Originality must be her middle name. I have never seen weres behave like they are in these books, and I have never read a story so free of cliché, in every sense of the word.
Ok, so the intensity of emotion is there – I expected that – but the author takes it one step farther. It’s not called a romance for nothing, you’ve been warned! I enjoyed every scene, and wanted to read more. I actually got quite annoyed that the book stopped where it did. The story most clearly goes on, and also very clearly is part of a series. I would advise that you start with book one. By the time you read the first three, book four will be out and then you’ll have some continuity.
What I liked. So many things. The plot is nice and twisty, storyline is engaging, drama is always just around the corner, and it just keeps going. The characters are good, be them human, vampire, were, or magical. I loved the freedom of allowing the weres to be something other than the classic werewolf. I also liked the love triangle, with its invisible third point, I loved the emotional turmoil that comes from having to redirect a life that barely seems worth living. There are lessons to be learned from every event in one’s life, and I love the fact that, here and there, the characters have grown with the books and learned those lessons. I loved the way in which Elle has been treated, the sensitivity of caring for a child who is not a blood relation, as well as the firmness and guidance a loving parent should provide their child.
What could be better – very little. Secondary plots were a tad underdeveloped, and a few of the scenes passed too fast – I would have liked the chance to linger in those settings and with those characters a bit longer. The ending felt as if it had been chopped, but I understand the need for that. I just want more; I can’t help it.
A very enjoyable story, one that I would certainly read more about, and one I would recommend. Not for kids. Over eighteens only. A very solid 4.5 stars. -
Another great installment in the series. Tho I was sad that Theo disappeared, I have to admit I always wanted Sarelle to be with Danial. It kind of sucked that she had to lose one to gain a life with the other, I was hoping the three of them could have built a relationship. But that would just be my wistful thinking, lol.
After Danial exhausted all possible leads to find Theo, he returns home to Sarelle & Elle and they pick up where they left off. While trying to be there for each other and Elle, they are still trying to find Theo or any word on what happened and are disappointed almost every time.
I cannot wait to read the next book in this sereis, Taken in the Night left me with a big cliff hanger and I need to know whats going to happen. lol -
The love triangle of Sarelle, Danial the vampire, and Theo the werecougar continues in Taken in the Night, third of this series. Sarelle, Danial, and Theo head for Europe for the birth of Theo’s child. It’s understood between the three that Sar is now with Theo. After a recon mission goes badly, Theo is missing and presumed dead. Sar returns home with Danial and Theo’s daughter, Elle, to start a new life. Sar is torn between her love and devotion to Theo and what’s right in front of her…Danial. If you enjoy the concept of supernatural mixed with romance, this series is for you. I read Tara’s first book, Promise Me, and wanted more. You won’t be disappointed.

Do you hear me screaming? I want the next book now! Tara has written a series that is so engaging that you won't and can't stop reading, and will want the next book immediately. I read this book in one day because it's that enticing. If you haven't read the first two in the Promise series, I recommend you do.

Vampire-Ware-human love triangle!
Tara Fox Hall engages the reader from the outset with this exciting tale of love, power and deception. This is the third book in the Promise Me series. The main characters are Sarelle, a human, Theo, a warecougar, and Danial, a powerful vampire. This story has it all! Love, hate, power and intreague. Babies are born, lives are lost as the story is thoroughly absorbing right to it's cliff hanger ending. Fortunately for the reader there is a fourth book in the series. An exciting and absorbing read.

Oh. My. Gosh.
I can't even find the words! I'm out of breath, exasperated from the amount of suspense and breath-taking moments in the book, I'm relieved...to say the least. Cliffhanger be damned, I loved this book. Congrats Tara for writing a very well-written series! Even though it's not over...and I still want more? I'm ecstatic for you. -
Keeps Getting Better and Better
