A dragon and a dragon-hunter. What was Fate thinking?
Kingsley has dedicated his life to hunting dragons. Finding a whole clan of them is the jackpot. This is his chance to rid the world of their evil. Only things don’t go to plan when he meets the Guardian. This dragon is unlike anything he expected.

Glimmer is the Guardian of the Somervilles. It’s his duty to protect his treasure and he’s good at it. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do to keep his family safe from the ridire. Only this particular ridire is his mate. Torn between his clan and his fated mate, Glimmer knows he will have to choose sooner or later. In the meantime, it would be great if his mate would stop trying to kill him.

Guardian’s Dilemma is an enemies-to-lovers mm romance between a dragon determined to protect his family and the man who was sent to kill him. It’s the eighth book in the Dragon’s Mate series but can be read as a standalone. Featuring revelations, protective magic, a difficult choice, a cosy cottage and an HEA.

Find out what Glimmer must do to convince Kingsley they’re mates.

I'm conflicted. On one hand, it has the same vibe as the first two books, which I loved. On the other, it feels like the story cut off halfway through and we're missing a conclusion. Maybe we'll get another book to round up the open plot holes left in the story, especially those surrounded the Somerville clan. It feels like things were set for conflict before we had a sudden roll of credits. Nothing was really concluded, I have no clue if there will be a next book with a conclusion of some sorts, and it bothers me immensely.
But so far, this book is heads and tails above the two that came before. And I enjoyed it.

I love this series. I hope there are more to come. There are so many things left i want to know about. Love Glimmer and Kingsley. What more true opposites attract could there be? They are totally opposite. Love that we find out more about the Dragon hunters (i'm too lazy to go look up the R word they used) and there has to be a story there!

I must confess that I couldn’t put this book down. I found it to be a very interesting closure of the series (though I would totally read Alphie’s story if it’s coming, the ending is a bit… open regarding that).

I found the plot of Guardian Dragon gets a ridire (dragon-hunter) mate to be super interesting and I loved both Glimmer (who I already loved from Dane and Soren’s book) and Kingsley. Both their struggles were very believable and the way they fall for each other anyways (with a bit of help from fate’s magic) very nice.

I found the ending to be a bit abrupt but I’m really hoping there will be more to this story.

Glimmer finally gets a mate too! And what a match! Enemies to lovers with a load of mate bond tension, action and protectiveness. So, pretty much awesome as usual :)
I knew he would get someone special, but for some reason I did not expect a ridire. It makes so much sense though... Glimmer is such a sweetheart with all his protectiveness over his "treasures". It is high time someone protected him too. A ridire is a bold choice, but somehow it makes perfect sense. Of course, lord S. shines within this one as well, making everyone miserable, but oh well. He will get his dues too. For now, the story continues with another sweet story about one of my favorite dragons.

The Guardian's Dilemma is the eighth book in the Dragon’s Mate series and can be read as a standalone but does have characters from previous books. This is Glimmer and Kingsley's story. Glimmer is a dragon shifter who is his clans guardian. Kingsley is a ridire or dragon hunter. These two are fated mates and must figure this out to have a happy ever after. I loved this book so much. These two are perfect for each other. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

This story had me addicted from beginning to the end!! Such an entertaining read!!😲😉between the enemies to fated mates...lots of fighting/action scenes, the danger and suspense and betrayal...I couldn't put the story down...lol. Kingsley and Glimmer's journey won't disappoint you...did they survive the odds?

I received this as an ARC and leaving my review voluntarily.

So did not see this coming. Hope Bennet can spin a story. Some authors pull you into their world with little effort - so much so that little holes and errors are not distracting. Hope is one of these.
This entire series (with the exception of #7) has been a fun ride and I am keeping my fingers crossed that she goes past #9.

    Enemies together

I enjoyed this book but felt like it ended to abruptly. When I read the blurb I really didn’t know how Hope Bennett was going to pull off a romance between a dragon and a dragon hunter but she made it believable.

Enemies to lovers is never my jam... except, apparently, from THIS author 🤣 Loved it! 🥰🥰🥰 The ending felt too abrupt, but I'll forgive that since Glimmer and Kingsley were so much fun together.

    Glimmer

I loved Glimmer's cameos in the previous stories. To see him finally get his own book was the best. Great story.

Another fantastic book in this series! I was so so excited to read Glimmers story and to see from the teaser blurb that his made is Ridire!!

I loved the progress of this story, I really felt for Kingsley wanting so badly to be the absolute best Ridire he could, but being held back (with reason!). I loved see his trust in Glimmer grow and eventually his love for Glimmer coming out. They both will make amazing guardians!! This book has also made me really excited for what is to come with Alfie!!

All in all, highly recommend, a fantastic read full of adventure, excitement and love

I received an Advanced Reader's Copy in exchange for my honest review.

I love this series so much, because I love dragons and I love fated mates and I had been curious about Glimmer from the start.
Kingsley was introduced a few books ago and I'm so glad we finally got to see his point of view!

These two are perfect for each other and I hope we get to see more of them in the future. Which, if my instincts are right, we will.

There was so editing errors but they didn't keep me from thoroughly enjoying the story.

Thank you Hope for the ARC!
