When Laura Lander’s family invites her to return to her hometown to join them for the Thanksgiving holiday, she’s uncertain. She and her sister haven’t gotten along since they were children, and Laura’s heart still aches from the old hurts.

To complicate matters, she’d left her heart behind years before, and she’s not sure her feelings for family friend, Dalton Jance, are dormant.

Laura accepts the holiday invitation, and finds that her family is falling apart. Her sister’s marriage is seemingly over, her nephew and niece are suffering for it, and her brother is exhausted from trying to run interference.

With God’s help—and a little help from Dalton—can Laura bring her family together again? And will she find her own ‘happily ever after’ with the man who has occupied her dreams for years?

Abound in Love Reviews

This is a sweet Thanksgiving romance. It's enjoyable despite some pretty tough/nasty topics and a predictable story line. I liked most of the characters and loved the writting style (despite the little more than a hand full of typos).
This was my very first book by
Rosemarie Naramore and I look forward to read more by her.

I'm aware some of the Christian readers could take offence in a few minor but vital elemonts of this story

I can recommend this novel to those:
    - looking for a sweet second chance romance set in an imperfect world with all its issues and struggles
    - looking for a (mostly) light Thanksgiving themed book

This is a nice, sweet, and inspiring holiday book. I like most of the characters and how the author builds A broken relationship into a faith filled story 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 but, I hope there is more pages for Laura and Dalton together as a couple. It only happens on the last page. I was quite disappointed but, this is a good book to read on Thanksgiving.

    Beautiful story

This is a wonderful sweet book. I enjoyed watching Laura work through the issues from her high school days. The secondary story with her sister was intriguing and caused a few tears.

Not a bad story but the book needs a LOT of editing.

  • Laurie

Sweet story, likeable characters, I'm looking forward to reading more by this author.

Didn't get far when the Lord's name was used in vain, so abandoned the story.

    Great read

The story can be true to many families. Just trust in God to lead you in the right direction. Always ask God to be your navigator thru life.

This was a free book on Amazon, so I decided to give it a read. I couldn't really relate to the characters in this book. They have such strained relationships with each other even for a family it was hard to feel for them. Very strong christian theme, not even hand holding in this one. Laura ran as far from her home as she could after college but she is back in GA visiting her family when she finds out what is really going on. She sees Dalton who she loved back in high school, but she thought he never saw her.

Loved this quick read with a Christian theme. Laura returns home after fleeing once she secures a job in Atlanta. Her sister, Candace, was cruel and mean to Laura when they were growing up. Candace asks her sister to return home and offers her sincere apology to Laura for the way she treated her.

Upon her arrival home, Laura quickly finds out that the man she once loved as a teen, Dalton, is living with her brother, Thomas. Dalton and Laura share quite a bit of time together and in the end their love for one another is proclaimed.

This is a wonderful Christian romance that I would highly recommend to others. The story covers multiple relationships in various stages as well as taking on complicated family dynamics that impact the lives of everyone in the story. This is a wonderful story about dealing with all kinds of relationships, a romance waiting to bloom for years, and the importance of relying on God in everything working out for the best.
