6 Lies People Believe About Divine Healing Reviews

My review from Amazon:
I recently finished this book on a trip out to California, it was an interesting and easy read. Steve takes on the topic of Divine healing which is an area of debate by folks and I give him credit for that.
There were intentional examples of scripture that Steve used for connectivity to biblical healing and some engaging personal examples. In the book, Steve sets out to tackle some of the misconceptions of healing that I would envision most people struggle with at some point in their life. I definitely could get a sense of Steve's passion and his desire to reveal God's heart of restoration. This is one guy's commentary, but I do wish Steve wove in more personal examples of healing to connect to his points.
I wrestled with some stuff in the book but I took the time to approach Steve and he was very willing to expand upon the perspective he shares in the book. My take away...we can have healing through Jesus Christ today but why aren't people seeing more of it? The gospel of John (14:12) shares that "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." Definitely made me pause and think.
I enjoyed the book, learned a few things and recommend it! -
This book encouraged me to stop settling and pursue my healing!

I found this book to be a quick read. The author's style is very conversational and relatable. It's evident that he believes in what he's saying with all his heart, and he has a great deal of Scripture and analysis to back up everything he says.
I found it a very challenging read because it went against many of my unspoken assumptions about the validity of faith healing. The "six lies" referred to in the title are certainly ones that I've heard and perhaps even believed--or I just never thought about before. Everything he had to say made me think and consider very hard.
I don't know if I believe everything in this book, but I think I want to. Like the father of the epileptic son, I'm saying, "Lord, I believe--help my unbelief." -
I was very encouraged by this book. Somehow, I've recently added a book on miracles, this book, and another on preparing for miracles to my Kindle. No plan to it; they just looked good so I got them. Along the way I became convinced that, yes, miracles still happen today, and that healing (of disabling chronic conditions) might be possible for me. So I set out to find someone to pray for my healing. Well, it hasn't happened yet, but I believe it's on its way, thanks largely to this book, some dedicated pray-ers and God's love.

I thought this book was awesome and have recommended it to my husband. I have always been asked the questions about the lies and never really had the answers till now - Thank you :)

Healing
Healing has always been controversial with the church. I don't know why that is. I don't know what side of the fence you may be on concerning healing but I have seen people be miraculously healed and I have personally experienced the healer. Some of what has been presented here has lifted a heaviness from me. I want to read this again and take my time to work through the book. It is definitely worth the effort. -
These six lies are very common and this book does a great job of explaining why people have bought into these lies and what the Word of God has to say. It helps remove the doubts people have about healing, timing, God's will and this book will help your faith grow.
