But with their hearts…
Ronan Sutherland is a fierce warrior. Swearing off all else, he thrives on his powerful position within William Wallace’s army. Freedom for the Scots is his mission—until he meets fair Julianna. She captivates him, intoxicates him…makes him want more out of life than what harsh dangers he’s accustomed to.
Lady Julianna is no meek maiden. She’s trained in the art of war, sister to one of Scotland’s most powerful men, and tasked with keeping the future king safe. Until she’s kidnapped by a rivaling clan. Now her only hope is for the one man she trusts—and desires—to save her.
Together, they’ll have to face down one of Scotland’s most treacherous foes… And keep from falling victim to the one thing they’ve both eluded thus far—love.
The Highlanders Warrior Bride (Stolen Bride, #4) Reviews

I have been wanting Ronan and Julianna’s story since the end of book one. I have been a very patient person. I have read each of the other books and enjoyed the each as they progress on the road with history, passion, loyalty, freedom, and love. I find that in this time period the warrior bride was a bit more than most would have cared to encounter, but there was something about her that I liked and enjoyed getting to know.
Watching the battles, the rescue, the love all come to play was enjoyable fast pace and worth the read to get to see it all take place. I loved watching the ups and down and ins and outs of the times with William Wallace and Robert Bruce. I found things so intriguing and reading it gave me more to get excited about. I loved Ronan. I loved Julianna. This was what I had been anticipating. The vivid clarity of the scenes. The sexy, hot, protective highlanders. The fierce ladies that command their love, loyalty and hearts. I find that there are more characters to loved aside from the ones that I want to read their HEA for. Scotland during the time of Robert Bruce and William Wallace sets hearts aflame and romance on a fierce playing field. -
Again, I feel truly awful about my poor but consistent ratings of this author. I know her style is not my kind of thing but I somehow have to finish the series. I would have given this book 2 stars if it wasn't for Julianna. This is a extremely personal rating. I don't like the author's style and I don't like the warrior princess of a heroine.

Ronan Sutherland is the younger brother of the Sutherland Clan, he's a fierce warrior and holds an important position with William Wallace. Lady Julianna is a warrior, she's trained all her life to protect Robert Bruce and she has secrets few people know, which places her in grave danger. Together, these two make a fierce, tantalizing and impressive couple. I enjoyed how Julianna and Ronan worked together, fought their attraction, learned to trust each other and found love amongst the turmoil and ugliness that war brings. But, will Robert Bruce, wish to lose his fierce protector? Will he deny what two hearts long to have, their HEA?
"The Highlander's Warrior" is a quick read, fast paced with nail biting danger and filled with turns and turns. I thoroughly enjoyed Julianna and Ronan's story. I was captivated from the beginning and held breathlessly to the end.
Ms. Knight is a remarkable storyteller, who draws readers into her stories with her vivid details, her unpredictable but charming and engaging characters and her tantalizing plot.
If you enjoy action packed, danger filled with intriguing characters, brawn Highland warriors, fierce lasses and masterfully written stories, then "The Highlander's Warrior Bride" is a perfect story for you to read. Fantastic Medieval Scottish Romance!
I received a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

I love that Julianna is not your usual heroine, and that Ronan respects her as a warrior and a fighter.
I will say that I guessed her to be The Bruce's sister, even before she confirmed it to Ronan.
Good plot. I can't wait to see how they end up pinning Ross down though. He managed to escape, leaving a plot hanger- along with what's going to happen with Brandon Sinclair in the next story. -
Well, I couldn't like Julianna either. So the next book I am sure I wont be able to read as the h is the kings whore. I don't do mistresses or whores, and although I realize she probably had no choice in the matter the author did.

Again, way too much filth. Close the bedroom door!!! Language not great. A book this full of history doesn't need it. Even if it is fiction it is close to the truth of what was happening in those times. -

Another good book by Eliza Knight.

So far this was one of me favorites.

Fabulous

Loved the main characters, loved the power dynamic being one of mutual appreciation. Didn’t enjoy how many of the romantic elements felt copy and paste from previous books in this series.

Great job by narrator. I'm loving Clan Sutherland.

I really enjoyed this read. When I started reading
The Highlander's Reward Ronan was probably the most interesting brother to me. In retrospect it was because he was the only one who didn't have a 'place' so to speak - Magnus was laird, Blane sold their goods @ market and then there's Ronan. Ronan was a great hero. I thought that he had a great personality, he was cunning and I felt that he kept our alpha female, Julianna at bay without violence. He appeared to study and learn her. Ronan had some moments when I was ready to throttle him for his idiocy but I couldn't stay mad at him long. He was my favorite hero from this series.
Moving on to the heroine.
Alpha female is probably an understatement. I usually dislike alpha females but this character had much more depth than most. I was familiar with Julianna from
The Highlander's Lady and I dreaded reading about her journey of love. What I discovered was a vulnerable girl who'd basically had her destiny chosen for her--as so many women did back in those days but in the form of marriage; for Julianna, being a warrior was her destiny. Although she was tough as nails, we also get a glimpse of her softer side. We see the insecure girl who longs to do her duty and be loved by Ronan. She had a few cases of shrewitis but she usually apologized or addresses the issues fairly quickly. She knew when she was wrong and would admit it freely in most cases. It was nice seeing her transform from a Warrior Woman to a Warrior Woman in love. ♥
I loved these two together. Ronan complimented Julianna's fiery and impulsive temper (she was somewhat impulsive in the sense that she was quick to anger). Julianna in turn accepted Ronan for what he was, no matter his station in life. Now that is not to say that I didn't want to give these two a three stooges type headbutt while yelling "chuckle heads!" They had quiet a few misunderstandings but as I said, they were addressed fairly quickly.
The plot was great. Even though this isn't my first time reading this book, I was very engaged. I have to say that one of my favorite characters in the series is WILLIAM WALLACE. Corrie James does his voice perfectly and he's hilarious! I love his gruffness. I also enjoy how the author portrays Robert the Bruce as somewhat unsure about himself and his destiny. I initially rated this book 4 but upon listening again, it deserves 5 stars. Probably the best out of the series. -
JUST OK!!!
The Highlander's Warrior Bride picks up right wear bk 3 The Highlanders Lady ends. Julianna is being held prisoner by Laird Ross. She is being badly treated. Julianna has helped Myra from bk 3 escaped captivity by Ross. Ross is working for the British. Julianna escapes easy enough. Why didn't she escape before. I guess she was waiting because she wanted them to think she was weak. Ronan was sent to Robert the Bruce and William Wallace to train the warriors for there up an coming battle with the British. He and Julianna have a great chemistry and attraction to one another. I guess I am just sick of the evil Laird Ross storyline and I am sad about what really happens in history with Robert the Bruce and William Wallace. Ronan thinks Julianna is the lover to William Wallace or Robert the Bruce. Julianna has a secret as to who she really is. She is a true warrior women and she is not an innocent Miss. She is a grown experienced women who knows her own mine and desires. She just won't act on them. I am not sure how I feel about her being not virtuous. I think I prefer the innocent Miss, but it makes sense since she is a warrior. The angst or misunderstanding between the H/H is one that is so easy resolved. It really didn't make all that much sense. She won't tell who she really is and she is a warrior and can't have a relationship. He can never marry because he is a warrior and he thinks Julianna is someone else s lover.. -
I've been enjoying this series but this one felt rather flat to me.
I liked the angle of the strong and capable fighting heroine and them fighting together. Also that it wasn't the standard virgin-lady setup.
But the romance felt lacking, like the spark between them fell short and just wasn't that believable.
And the ending was terribly frustrating for me. Like so many romances, to include in this series, the book ends after they marry and are oh so happy to be. Now, I admittedly prefer those that go on after the wedding some or even start with the wedding and go from there, but the wedding ending is completely appropriate to most romances.
This one though... she's a warrior women, he's a warrior man, the book puts special and on-going importance on how they love this about each other, the fact that they find they fight so well together, and the political war state of the English vs Scottish with the big battle coming up. Then they get married just before the battle and the book ends. I looked forward to reading on about how this fight went with this warrior couple together as man and wife.
It just stopped before a big action sequence involving the basis of their attraction and interactions through the book.
Frustrating. I didn't like the end at all.
So three stars as it wasn't bad but wasn't great, either. -
3.5 stars."The Highlander's Warrior Bride" is the 4th book in this romantic series from Eliza Knight. This series continues to be such a good read. I absolutely love the romance in these books and I really like the great historical detail. I am having so much fun with these books.
Julianna is no shrinking violet. She is a warrior herself and sister to Robert the Bruce, one of the major power players in the Scottish fight for independence. Ronan is also a warrior and he is a little bit intimidated by Julianna. They fall for each other quickly and their story was so good. I loved that Julianna's character was a little bit different than the typical romantic heroine. This lady can really stand her ground. I thought it was interesting to see how she was trained as a warrior. Definitely fun!
I liked the romance in this book. I wish that we got to know a little bit more about the motivations for how they fell for each other but overall I really liked the story. Again, there is a lot of hotness her. Highlanders have to be one of the best kind of romantic heroes!
I'm still loving this series! I like how all of the characters of the various books are connected!
