OH MY GOD!!!!! I loved this book! I have always loved Rebecca Zanetti and I love her Dark Protector series. I am so a Sin Brothers fan girl now too!
Dayum! Shane was one hell of a sexy hott alpha hero!

     photo shane_zps9dbbfdf2.jpg

“I may not know myself right now, sweetheart. But I know I wouldn’t have let you go.” No way was he that fucking stupid.

Shane was so sweet and sexy. He and His brothers are genetically engineered soldiers trained from children to kill they are killing machines with enhanced senses. They are on a mission to take down those who made them and trained them. He meets Josie and marries her. After a few months of marriage he finds out his brother Jory was killed and he leave to go undercover and find out what happened but Josie thinks he just left her. 2 years later she gets a call that her husband is in the hospital with amnesia. I love how he was with Josie. Their battles where hott! And he was the perfect alpha male without turning into a dick!

Josie is sweet but at the same time doesn't take shit from no one and she is a fighter. She had sass and spunk but was still soft.

     photo josie_zpsceba4c37.jpg

Josie is a woman who was in foster care as a child and always felt alone. After meeting Shane she falls in love fast and hard after two months of a marriage where he holds her but doesn't let her in to see the real Shane he ups and leaves crushing her. She files for Divorce after 2 years and then finds out her husband is in the hospital with no memory and someone is after them!

"If you're asking if you abuse women, the answer is no. If you're asking if you're an asshole, the answer is yes."

     photo kissing_zpsbd8e1345.gif

"Let me play." He placed wet, open-mouthed kisses up her chest to her throat. "If I remember correctly...there's a place right about here..." His tongue flicked at the base of her neck. The hollow near her shoulder. She shivered. "Yeah. I remember right."

This book is action packed and sexy as hell! You can't help but be drawn into the characters, they seem so real. The brothers are all sexy and strong and I can't wait to read all of their stories. I love Josie and Shane together you can feel that they really love each other and there is some strong passion and sexual tension between them and the sex was hott! Great book Would totally recommend this book!

I am on to the next book!!

Well this one was full on all the way. Plenty of action in and out of bed. Really liked it. The Prologue was interesting and piqued my interest straight away. The Hero was sexy, strong, and intelligent - what more does one want. And the Heroine was just as strong, sexy and intelligent as him. A match made in heaven. We had suspense, sort of paranormal (but not really), romance, tension, heartbreak, laughs, it just seemed to hit all the right buttons for me. Had not read anything by this author before and am looking forward to the next in the series.

"If you're asking if you abuse women, the answer is no.If you're asking if you're an asshole, the answer is yes."

Josie took no shit from anyone…..

There was a twist that I did see coming. How great am I?

We had the background characters like the cop, Malloy, I really liked him.

Look forward to reading the next in the series and solving all the mysteries, especially the BIG one!

I should give an extra star for the hot covers

    description

I really don’t know what to make of this book. I guess the best word to describe the 40% of what I did read would be so-weird-it-was-comical-and-made-me-laugh-but-after-laughing-for-a-few-seconds-it-wasn’t-funny-anymore. The premise of the book grabbed my attention – genetically engineered men were created as part of a secret military operation, with faster senses and stronger abilities. However, these ‘brothers’ escaped and have plotted revenge ever since. This first book is the story of how one of these brothers finds love in between all the chaos that ensues.

The prologue was attention-grabbing and gripping. I was so sure I had hit the jackpot and could finally find a 5 star winner but sadly, things were spiraling down from chapter 1 and finally I couldn’t take it anymore and stopped after the 40% mark. Two things I absolutely LOATHE in any book I read:

    -TSTL dumb heroine
-Besides erotica, I don’t like it when the smut takes over the story

I like a possessive alpha male hero, but c’mon, this guy is so over the top! He left his wife, hasn’t seen her in two years, and the moment he sees her again (while he has amnesia) he orders her around like a lackey and in EVERY important scenario all that runs through his mind is how to get into her pants.

    description

And being the flimsy piece of cardboard she is, the heroine blushes and lets him roll all over her.

    description

The whole inhuman strength, extra keen senses the hero had leaned more towards supernatural and even though it’s hinted that he’s genetically engineered, the execution of the story really didn’t do that aspect of the book justice. It was very half-baked and you’d pretty much have to suspend disbelief to get through this book, which I’m just not capable of doing.

    description

Also I didn’t find the sex scenes to be hot in any way. Rolled my eyes while reading them...

Two years ago Josie fell in love with Shane and only a few weeks later they were married and blissfully happy. Until he disappears and Josie is left only with a broken heart. Now, two years later she gets a call that her husband is back, only with no memory of the past, not even of her. But even without remembering her, Shane feels completely protective towards her and is set on making their marriage work, while Josie is set on not having her heart broken one more time. As Shane’s memory slowly starts to get back, the things that got them apart the first time are back to finish him for good. Can Shane protect Josie and himself in order to give their love a second chance?

    description

This book proved me that I’m definitely not the biggest fan of sci-fi. Because all the scientific part of the book, all the “enhanced soldiers” experiences was something that didn’t pick my interest at all, and the sole reason I couldn’t rate this higher.
For the rest? Hot alpha-male and (even) hotter alpha-male supporting characters, nice heroine, enough of action (In and out of bed… if you know what I mean! ^^ ), sweet romance and very good writing.
My first book from Rebecca Zanetti, bur certainly not the last.

When I started this book, I didn't know what to expect (except that I loved the cover). I LOVE Rebecca Zanetti's Dark Protectors series. So, I was hoping to like this one as well. And I did. I really enjoyed it.

Forgotten Sins is about a woman named Josie, who has been abandoned by her husband for two years. She is now seeking divorce after stupidly hoping that he would return for her. But now that she has sent the papers for him to sign at his military base, he suddenly returns into her life, but, not in the condition that he left. Shane has amnesia. He can't remember who she Josie is or anything from his life. He was arrested after being found with some dead bodies around him. Now Josie is responsible for him when all she wants is for him to sign the papers and leave to never return. He might not remember her, but his heart and body do. He knows he won't be leaving her again. Especially, when her life may be in danger.

Josie is an accountant who is looking to finally move forward with her life. I really liked this woman. She may be petite but she was quite strong, sweet, and quite the little badass. She may not be the best fighter in the world, but she would do her best to protect those important to her. When Shane suddenly comes back with no memory, she doesn't know what to do. She still has feelings for him, even if she tries not to.

"When I need a woman, you're the only one I'd want."

There are some men that are apparently out to get her. Now, Shane is trying to take that place in her life that is rightfully his again. Even though, she doesn't want him there anymore, she can't help but allow him to. With him, she feels safe, protected, and loved. Growing up without a family, she craves that more than ever. With Shane around, she doesn't feel so alone anymore. But she is afraid that once he remembers everything, he will leave her again.

Shane is a... well... he is human, but with special abilites. He didn't grow up like the average person, heck, he wasn't created like the average person. His brothers and him were bred to become fighters. He was an awesome, sexy, badass alpha. I loved him!

    ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

The woman had better not even think of being done with him. She was his life, and no way was he letting her go again.

He knows that he can't leave Josie again, so he refuses to sign the divorce papers. He loves her too much, even if can't remember the times they shared. Even if Josie resists, he will do whatever he can to get her in his bed again. To show her how much he really loves her. But slowly, memories start to resurface and he discovers he may not be the greatest man for Josie. He is too dangerous. With some men around, threatening Josie's life, he will do whatever he can to protect her.

The sexual tension in this book was pretty high, as was the steam. They were just so great together. Seriously, Shane was just so sexy. I loved the fighting scenes of the Dark Protectors series, and the fighting scenes in this book did not disappoint. It was really entertaining to read. And then there was a freaking twist in the book. I don't know how I didn't see that coming. How could I not suspect. It was brilliant. I really enjoyed the plot and the characters. So far, the first book of the series was awesome. Shane's brothers are a bit mysterious, just like he is. I can't wait to read their books. If you like books with action and really hot scenes, this one is for you. You should give this one a try.

    Forgotten Sins by Rebecca Zanatti
Updated review of the audiobook. Throughly enjoyed the audiobook and the narrator. The heroine’s strength and determination is admirable.

    Original review:
Josie is kick-ass! Shane taught her to fight in the past and she doesn't sit still for any of the situations she is put through in this book. And she goes through a lot!
Non stop action and adventure. Loved the vulnerability of Shane and how strong they all want "family". While I really liked this book, the second and third in the series are even better.

Shane Dean has lost his memory. He is back in Josie's life after disappearing two years earlier. She doesn't know why he left and is more than ready to cut ties. But he is different this time. More sharing. Less in control. Is he really ready to include her in his life?

The first in a series about brothers who have been trained since birth to fight and kill without emotions. They've been genetically enhanced to be the ultimate soldiers. The brothers were raised without love and they know there is more to life than killing and following orders. They've escaped from their sadistic Commander and now must find a way to live in the world. Women, soft women, are a downfall for them.

"maybe he should leave. But he didn't want to. There was warmth buried in the woman, and he was so damn cold. She'd loved him once. Maybe she could explain why."
Excerpt from Forgotten Sins by Rebecca Zanatti

This one ended up being one of my all time favorite Romantic Suspense novels ever...and Rebecca Zanetti has a new fan!!!

A gripping story from page one.. We are introduced to a group of brothers that were born and created to be a new breed of lethal soldiers. Soldiers that are elite killing machines. Conceived in a lab..they are completely human but their DNA has been manipulated to make them highly intelligent and highly skilled. Strong, fast, loyal, and most of all ..deadly. Their are many different groups of these soldiers born into this camp and this series is about the Dean brothers and in this first installment we get to meet

    Shane...

Shane wakes up in the hospital with amnesia. Vague memories that took place before the last 2 years..but the last 2 years are a big blank. He knows he's beyond strong and he's likely killed someone recently since he's covered in blood and beat up a bit...he's got identification and contact information.. he's got a wife. One he doesn't remember but the moment she arrives at the hospital, mad as f'king hell, he feels their connection all the way down to his bones and soul. This woman belongs to him. He knows it...

    Josie

Josie hasn't seen Shane in 2 years....They had a very short whirl wind romance.. Shane swept her off her feet. They were married after knowing each other just a few weeks.. and only together a few month's before he disappeared without a trace..Josie grew up with no family and when she found Shane she wanted him right away and new he was the man for her.. or so she thought. After waiting for him to come back for 2 years she has finally decided to move on and file for a divorce-- then all of a sudden he's back--and with amnesia.

Shane may not remember much of his past or any of his time with Josie.. but he knows something bad went down.. nothing else would have caused him to leave this woman that seems to own his soul and he's not letting her go without a fight. But he's got a much bigger fight on his hands than just holding on to Josie. Bits and pieces of his past are slowly coming back and his brothers are depending on him. There's some major baddies out there that want the brothers taken in or taken out. They'll use Josie if necessary to take Shane down and in the process drawing his brothers out too.

The brothers aren't going down without a major fight though and nothing and no one will take Josie from Shane again. We've got bad guys all over the place and no one can be trusted. Rebecca Zanetti has given us a top of the line romantic suspense that covers every single base you could possibly want in this genre. A completely over the top possessive bad ass alpha male H, a feisty and strong h, some serious steamy sexy times ( sooooooo hot), and a story that will keep you hooked page after page. This story never dragged and was never dull. Great action, great suspense, and a very clever plot.

I see amazing things for this series and I'm really looking forward to the other brother's stories. Totally amazing story!!!

The story started out well, very interesting and suspenseful. I liked the plot idea and I was so curious to find out who exactly Shane was. The story itself was fast-paced, entertaining, and action-packed from the beginning to the end. Throughout the book, there were many twists and turns I didn't see coming! And it kept me guessing what would happen next. Furthermore, the fight scenes were great that I almost forgot to breathe!

I liked Shane and his brothers. They had such strong personalities that made me want to know more about their stories. Josie, on the other hand, drove me crazy with her stubbornness! Was she nominated for The World's Best Employee Award?! Because she had always insisted on getting back to work although her life was in danger. Looked like she chose to be killed rather than lost her job! I felt like her character seemed to lack depth that I didn't understand why Shane loved her so much. She was so annoying through the entire book!

There were things that bothered me about the story.

    1. I wanted to know how Shane and Josie fell in love with each other! There were not enough details about their time together before Shane left her. According to the story, I found that Josie fell in love with Shane the first time she met him, then they got married and their marriage lasted for a very short period of time. They didn't know each other well enough to make me believe that there were strong feelings between them.

    2. I wondered why It was unreasonable!

On the whole, this is a good romantic suspense book worth reading. I was impressed with almost everything about the story except Josie. To be honest, she ruined the book! I almost threw it across the room in frustration and almost put it down several times because of her! So, this was the reason why I couldn’t give this one more than 3 stars!

3 1/2 Stars - Nice and well done action-filled m/f suspense with a lovely couple to follow.

Forgotten Sins is a quite popular m/f, here narrated by
Karen White in an 11:30 hrs audiobook.

    ***********************************************************

Forgotten Sins is the first book in the
'Sin Brothers' 'new-book-new-brother' series (main plot: )

It all started very mysterious promising...
They had a very short marrige life together and after being abandoned and living alone for two long years, still with a broken heart, is Josie now quite shocked when the local hospital calls.

     photo imagejpg4_zpsf44ba464.jpg

“I may not know myself right now, sweetheart. But I know I wouldn’t have let you go.” No way was he that fucking stupid.

Josie's "missing" husband Shane Dean, a military supposed to be at a mission, has been found at a crime scene near her house with no memory of how he got there. — Or of her...or his life...or anything actually. He just know he need to keep his wife this time and save her from something.

    ***********************************************************

This was absolutely a good enough m/f suspense.
I'm maybe not overwhelmed and I didn't happy dance, but I liked a lot.

...As the main characters (tough heroinne and a yummy hero) and the main series plot (intriguing, some nasty secrets, adorable hunk-brothers "etc). I truly enjoyed this well done exciting suspense (full speed and true thrilling action moments) and I 'silly-smiled' and got a romantic feeling (sweet, heartbreaking and just enough steamy).
    “You can’t keep me here.”
He huffed out a low chuckle, weariness tightening his face. “You have no idea what I can do, angel. What I will do to keep you here. Keep you safe.”

Forgotten Sins is filled with secrets and surprises.
For once was it okay with a whiny woman (Josie) now and then. If I learned what she did about my (since two years gone) husband, would I also be a little grumpy and pissed off to begin with. (I liked that she is an great and serious accountant as well. — Guess why.)

    ***********************************************************

    This audiobook narrator (
Karen White) might not be on my 'all top favorite female narrator' list but more or less was this a very pleasant listening. She does it well and with empathy.

    ***********************************************************

A good series-start and perfect for lovers off bad-ass tough manly action heroes with good choices in grownup mature — non swooning— women. ~ Yay, yay and an extra applause for that.

“I’m an asshole, I know. But I’d rip off my own arm before hurting you.”

I read a lot of nice happy reviews from my friends before I choosed this book and there isn't much more to add.
I'll pick more books by Ms. Zanetti and really soon from this brother-series. ~ Next: #2 -
Sweet Revenge about the oldest brother Matt

I love romantic suspense. Government conspiracy, super soldiers, and a fiery romance all come together to make Forgotten Sins a thrilling and fun read!

Josie’s husband, Shane Dean left without a backwards glance or phone call two years ago, leaving her heart in tatters. They had a passionate whirlwind affair and got married three weeks later, and she felt she finally had someone to call her own, after growing up in and out of foster care.

When she’d given her vows, she’d meant them. In her lonely, solitary life, she’d given her heart once and once only. She’d never get it back.

When Josie is called to pick her husband up after he’s mugged and left with no memory, she’s shocked. Where’s he been all this time? If Shane somehow thinks they can just pick up where they left off, he’s got another thing coming, but Josie can’t just leave him high and dry with no memory or place to go.

Shane has no recollection of how he was injured but he knows the other guys ended up a lot worse. He has deadly skills, and apparently a gorgeous wife that he left two years ago. When he lays eyes on Josie his mind might not recall her, but his body and heart does. Shane can’t imagine any good reason why he left before, but he won’t make the same mistake twice. He’s determined to gain his wife and memory back, but he also needs to figure out why he was attacked.

This was an action packed read pretty much from the beginning all the way through, and I had a blast reading this. Shane and Josie were at danger at every turn and trying to figure out why had me glued to the pages.

Josie is distrustful of Shane and with good reason; he broke her heart and kept secrets. But now that he’s back, Shane is more forthcoming and so Josie dares to hope for a future. Josie is the one thing that Shane ever wanted for this own; as his memories come back so does the knowledge of his intense love for Josie. The pull they have towards one another cannot be ignored. In between trying to stay alive, Shane and Josie can barely keep their hands off each other:

“Did I ever tie you up, darlin’?”
Desire shot through her like a shot of hard whiskey. “No.” She tried to move, tug her wrists free.
“Too bad. Restraining you excites me.” The knife clattered to the floor. “If you don’t want gentle, you should’ve said so.” He flipped her around, and his lips crushed down on hers.
She didn’t want gentle. She wanted Shane—all of him.

Shane and Josie’s story was thrilling from the get go! This is the first story in a continuing series that will center on each of the Dean Brothers. So while Josie and Shane’s story wrapped up, the main story arc did not and continues with Matt the eldest brother. I can’t wait to read his story next!

Josie hasn't seen or heard from her husband in two years before she finally gets a phone call saying that her husband is in the hospital. She needs to face him and find out where he has been, except there is one problem, he has a slight case of amnesia.

Shane sees Josie again, he doesn't recognize her but his body does. Josie takes him to her home because she wants some answers from him and hopes that he can remember something, anything that will help her understand what happened to him. His memories are coming back sporadically and he is trying to piece together who or what he is. He may not remember everything but he knows he loves Josie, his Angel.

Josie grew up in foster care, but this isn't a story of her sad and tragic childhood. No, this is a story of her sad and tragic marriage and the mystery surrounding her husband's disappearance...and subsequent reappearance. Shane Dean also grew up without a family, but his story is much more horrendous.

Shane is a genetically engineered human...basically a lab rat, born to be used by a secret group within the US government. His upbringing was one of rigorous training...his first kill at age ten, learning to deal with pain to the point of ignoring broken bones...all of that he could do. But the one thing that he and the boys in his group always wanted was a family. Even though they all grew up knowing that a soft, gently mother ready for hugs and cookies just wasn't in the cards for them, the human desire for companionship won out. And Shane and his 'brothers' give each other a loyalty above and beyond any duty the military shows them.

When Shane and Josie met, it was a whirlwind romance that culminated in an even quicker marriage. Josie knew very little about the man she married, but she loved him fiercely. When he left her just months into their marriage, she was devastated. It's not two years later and Shane has been found next to some dead bodies, with no memory of Josie or his own past. All he does know is that it doesn't take long for him to fall back in love with the woman who claims to be his wife.

    MY THOUGHTS
I love the slight paranormal aspect of this. It's all the more intriguing because the author doesn't shove it in your face the entire book that Shane is different. In all honesty, it just makes him seem even more tough and intense, knowing that he has the skills that he does. I loved that Zanetti doesn't over-explain the special abilities either. Nothing seems so far fetched that you have to consider it sci-fi. I was able to shrug my shoulders and think, "Eh...it could happen **wink, wink**"

His instant obsession with his wife was romantic from the get go. Not only did he fall in love with her years ago, but there is such a pull between these two, it's as if the loss of memories didn't even take away the devotion that he has to Josie. SWOON!

Josie was fairly likeable, but if there was one thing I disliked about the story, it was her feeble attempts at being able to handle herself. Admittedly, she did in fact, hold her own on occasion. But there were so many other times that she verbally spouted off about how tough she was only to be proven wrong instantly. It wouldn't be so bad if she didn't TELL the bad guys how she was going to hurt them or tough it out or whatever, but the fact that she DID and was instantly proven wrong was just embarrassing for her. Either put up or shut up, Josie!

I am beyond excited to get to the next book, which is Matt's story. Matt is the pseudo-parental figure of the four brothers, and he takes on so much of the guilt for what has happened to them. There is a LOT of room for series growth, and a LOT of unanswered questions with regards to the issues raised in this book. Great start for this series!

I enjoyed this book. I have had a copy of this book for a long time but for one reason or another I never picked it up. I have been such a mood reader lately and when I saw this book while browsing the audiobooks on my library's website, this felt like the perfect time to get started with this series. I found this to be a very easy story to slip into and I found myself hooked right away. I am so glad that I finally decided to give this book a try.

The book opens with Josie arriving at the hospital, after being called about her husband, Shane. This is a husband that she hasn't seen for two years and a husband that has lost his memory and doesn't know what is going on. I couldn't wait to find out what caused Shane to leave her two years ago and what was really going on now that put him in the situation to lose his memory.

I liked Shane and Josie a lot and I really wanted to see them work things out and stay together this time around. Shane had lost his memories but the chemistry between the pair was still present from the very start. He also kept his instincts and seemed to surprise himself with some of the things that he knew and was able to do. Josie still had feelings for Shane but she was guarded and tried to remain practical. She wasn't helpless and didn't hesitate to stand up for herself.

The story was pretty exciting. There was a lot of action and quite a few scenes where the characters were in some danger. I did enjoy learning more about Shane and his brothers and watching them work together to get things done. Josie, Shane, Matt, and Nate all really stepped up when they needed to and I even enjoyed the role that the local detective played in the story. I thought that the story's romance and action were really well balanced.

Karen White did a fabulous job with the narration of this story. I believe that this was my first experience with this narrator but I will definitely be looking for more of her work in the future. I thought that she did a great job with all of the character voices and she added a lot of excitement and emotion into her reading. I believe that her narration added to my overall enjoyment of this story.

I would recommend this book to fans of romantic suspense. I really enjoyed the story from beginning to end and thought that the characters were very well done. I cannot wait to read more of this exciting series very soon.

    Initial Thoughts
I enjoyed this one. I have had this book for a very long time and I am glad that I finally decided to give it a try. I liked the characters a lot and I thought that their history was very interesting. I am looking forward to continuing with the series.

After reading so many good reviews on this series, I decided to give it a go.
A story of four brothers and their bond with each other. How they escape from the prison they have been held for many years and who will do anything for each other.

This is the 1st book in the series and tells the story of Shane, genetically engineered to be the perfect soldier and his wife, Josie, who he had left behind for two years without any explanation.

    Wow, what a pleasant surprise!!!

I engrossed from the first page all the way to the end.

Shane…back in Josie’s life again…and remembers nothing about it or who he is….

     photo 7420197_zpssuxdqien.jpg
I found Shane a bit too alpha-male for me, but as time progressed, I really warmed up to his protective streak and the gentle side he showed to Josie.
     photo a8a3883ffe13d87f2ce2b22570b3b625_zpsztncxg4l.jpg

Josie might be small and sweet and gentle, but she can pack a mean punch when she or Shane is threatened.
     photo c682892a415b3348a819ae41b5206fe0_zpsevcoigho.jpg
The chemistry between the two is well-written, sexy, hot… photo 824972_zpsuzill9dn.gif ….even though at times I felt there were a hell of a lot of sex scenes….but then these two have been apart for a long time, right!!!!

There are two plots running parallel in this story, with some great twists and turns, action and mystery that keep you guessing until the last few pages.

    I really enjoyed the epilogue…..

Interesting storyline, great character development,…..and I am interested in reading the other brother’s book.

4.5 almost pure perfection stars for me! Make no mistake, I am a lover of romantic suspense, and this was one of the most action packed, edge of your seat, heat filled reads I have read in a while.

Shane Dean is a perfect mix of mystery and bad ass. He is a beautiful alpha with a hint of vulnerability that makes him even more desirable. He is a soldier, truly from birth, whose only emotional connection is with his "brothers." When he finds himself without memory and in the hands of his wife...he knows nothing other than this woman gets to him. Josie Dean is amazeballs...she is feisty, strong, intelligent and the right fit for this uber soldier!

This read has everything a first in series needs to set the pace for an amazing journey. A great introduction of characters who are pivotal in the plot but also who tell an intriguing back story to keep you glue to the read. There is a constant sense of danger with constant action. There is also great sexual tension with raw heat between Josie and Shane. I loved that Josie never backed down whether during a fight or between the sheets! I have fallen in hard lust for Shane and his brothers...I cannot wait to move on!

This was AMAZING... no.. actually it was MIND-BLOWING-LY AMAZING!!!!!

I will write my review closer to the release date, but i can very surely say this... i STILL have not managed to wipe myself up off the ground... YUP, i totally dissolved into this puddle, reading about the super-freakin-awesome Shane Dean... the man ABSOLUTELY blew my mind... and OH LORDY, this series is based on "a band of brothers who carry unnatural powers genetically engineered into them by a black ops military unit", WHICH MEANS that we have Shane's ALSO super-freakin-awesome brothers' stories; Matt, Nathan and Jory (hopefully, he REALLY IS ALIVE!!!), to look forward too!!!!! CAN'T BLOODY WAIT!!!!

3 1/2 stars (rounded up to 4 stars, because I love a hero who isn't afraid to say "I love you" first - and stick to it even though he isn't sure his woman feels the same)

    5 I wanna have Shane's babies stars

Loved it!! This was a very well written, entertaining and hot romantic suspense. I was sucked into the story from the first page, and loved it all the way to the end. I really liked both main characters, Shane was basically perfection. He is a strong, protective and possessive alpha male who loves Josie with all of his heart. What I loved the most was that I could feel their connection and this intense emotion from the first chapter.

" I love you angel. It's the one thing I remember without a doubt." The southern drawl wound around her heart. " I'm not letting you go." I turned into a puddle of mush every time he called her " darlin" :)

The suspense aspect of this book was gripping with lots of action and twists and turns, some I kind of saw coming and some I didn't, but it was very entertaining.

The next book is about Matt, Shane's brother who of course is just as hot as Shane. Obviously, I am starting that right away:)!

I won't ruin the story for you, just read it!!!

    4 Forget-Me-Not Stars!!

Well, color me EXCITED for these Sin brothers!!! I don't know where the hell I've been but I completely missed this series until just recently!! And when I heard that it was a romantic suspense series with some HAWT, kick ass, alpha males that were all brothers? Well, I was all...

     photo elf-excited-o_zps9bvo1ngh.gif

Prior to starting this book, I was coming off of a couple of super disappointing reads oozing with OTT drama, TSTL heroines, and over-inflated story lines, to where picking this up was a breath of fresh air. Shane is one of four brothers who are part of a secret military project where they genetically enhanced soldiers, bred to fight and for select missions. This is really the only sci-fi type element of the story. It definitely didn't read like a paranormal or really even a sci-fi for that matter to me. (I should note that neither of those genres are for me personally so I can tell you with 100% certainty that this is not that type of book.)

They've pretty much only ever had each other. But Shane has one weakness and her name is Josie Dean. Josie is his estranged wife that he fell in love with and married as part of their whirlwind romance just over two years ago.

     photo b6b71733497999667b9b1e9a276cc34d_zpsqzaizjba.jpg

     photo fbbf1c8e9f53e50e5dfc93e795588146_zpsl89lnftn.jpg

Josie is as straight-laced as they come...on paper anyway. She's an accountant, loves to knit, and leads a pretty quiet life. However, her and Shane have a lot more in common that it might appear, both were orphans and were always alone. The concept of family is an intangible dream for them both.

Josie hasn't seen or heard from her dear husband in two years. Until she gets a call from a local hospital when he is admitted and being treated for injuries from an apparent mission gone wrong....oh, and he has lost his memory too!!!

All of this is just the set up of the book. Shane explodes back into Josie's life, desperate to find any answers that he can. He's completely uncertain about who he is or where he's been. But there is one thing he is sure of...

photo 8331999_zpssakwtikf.png I may not know myself right now, sweetheart. But I know I wouldn’t have let you go.” No way was he that fucking stupid."

photo 8331999_zpssakwtikf.png I won’t let anything happen to you. You may not trust me, but you can trust that. You’re safe.”

I will say, you really have to be a lover of romantic suspense for this first installment (I have it on good authority that the books get steamier and steamier as the series progresses). There is some romance, and when there is, I LOVED it. But, I would say that probably 75% of the story is suspense-based. However, romance or not, what was going on was enough to totally hold my attention the whole time.

I LOVED Shane!! He is a cold-hearted bad ass when he needs to be. He's smart, strong, and fearless. But I loved seeing his vulnerability when it came to Josie and how she was the one person that he was totally different around...even when he didn't have his memory. Call me a sucker, but I ate this part of the story up!! He would also stop at nothing to protect her even when she wasn't so sure that she wanted him around. Typical alpha man 100%!

     photo 98b8009df870014f76e0731ad831ad36_zpscsb5j7yk.jpg

I also loved Josie. No whiney heroine here. I loved how she had her doubts about Shane but she couldn't help but trust her instincts and her feelings when it came to him.

photo 8331999_zpssakwtikf.png She placed her hand over his heart. “It’s okay, Shane. Only good dreams tonight,” she whispered. With a soft sigh, she closed her eyes and let darkness take over."

photo 8331999_zpssakwtikf.png “I wonder how well you can bother me from a jail cell.”
    His upper lip quirked.

“You are so cute when you’re threatening me.”

And like I said before, the romance takes a backseat to the suspense part of the story here but when it did happen, my heart was going crazy for these two. Among everything that is going on, this is still a second-chance romance. The sexual tension had me pulling my hair out, but when it did finally happen, it was HAWT as hell, and oh so romantic!! <3

     photo 11298077_zpsovffp2i0.gif

photo 8331999_zpssakwtikf.png “I can’t wait to remember that day. While my brain is fuzzy, my emotions are clear, Josie. I know I loved you.”

photo 8331999_zpssakwtikf.png “I may have screwed up, and we’ll find out why, but I won’t hurt you again. You’re mine, angel. The only thing in life that matters.”

Yes, there was a lot of info to take in at times. The author does a lot of set up here. I can't imagine going on to the other books without reading this one first. There are also a few moments that you kind of have to suspend reality but hey, this book does have a touch of sci-fi to it so under that pretense, I was ok with it. By the end, everything fell into place and made sense to me. I also really liked Zanetti's writing style. She reminded me a little bit of both
    Sandra Brown and
    Callie Hart.

The ending? I would call it an HFN. I am diving right into
Sweet Revenge next! Cannot wait for Matt's story!!

photo 8331999_zpssakwtikf.png “You’re the only woman I’ve ever loved.” He couldn’t live without her. Didn’t want to. “I’m selfish, Josie. Life is hard, and I don’t want to fight it without you.”

    Quick Summary
Josie Dean hasn't seen her husband in over two years until she receives a call from the hospital to come get him. Shane is suffering from amnesia and doesn't remember her but quickly decides he wants to resume his role as her husband. Things soon start to get dangerous when there's an attack on their house and it's unclear why and by whom.

    Shane's story
It starts out mysteriously with a view of Shane's world as a child, which appeared strange and unconventional. The details are slowly revealed throughout the story. I found this pretty interesting, even though it took a bit too long to reveal as I was confused. He has some unusual skills that hint at the paranormal, which was unexpected. It kept my interest piqued.

    The action
There's a lot going on with repeated attacks on Josie and Shane, with it not always clear which of them was the target. This is the story's strength as I was trying to not only figure out the why but the who and the motivation. It kept me in the story and it showcased Shane's skills and Josie's who surprised me with her ability to handle herself.

    The romance
For me, this was the weakness of the story. Josie had every right to be leery of Shane after he disappeared for two years. She kept going back and forth about whether she should trust him or not, often making some really bad decisions that got her in big trouble, OVER and OVER again!! I just got tired of the indecision after a while. Shane's lies didn't help either, which made no sense to continue doing so very late in the story. It just didn't work for me. I liked both of them in spite of her many TSTL moments and his über alpha personality that bordered on caveman behavior sometimes. All of this just undermined their relationship.

    Overall story
I think the series has potential in spite of the issues with the romance and Josie's TSTL moments, which annoyed me a LOT. While we learned the complete details about Shane and his brothers, the story didn't end and there is still lots to resolve. Each of the brothers has special skills distinct from each other and I'm intrigued to explore their stories.

  • *J* Too Many Books Too Little Time

    4--Entertaining--Stars!!!

So I really only dabble in romantic suspense. I'm not really sure why because I always seem to enjoy the books I read. The Sins Brothers series features a set of genetically engineered brothers who were trained to fight and kill at an early age. They were basically created via test tubes and they are considered to have super senses. I guess you could all this book paranormal-ish because of that....but it really didn't feel paranormal.

Forgotten Sins is Shane Dean's story. It was fast paced, entertaining and sexy.

The story begins with Shane's wife Josie discovering that her husband that went missing two years ago is back. Only he was found near a river with three dead bodies and now has amnesia. He doesn't remember where he's been and how he ended up in Snowville.

Now I can't say much about the story without giving anything away. People are after Shane.....or are they after Josie? Josie still has feelings for her husband. And one thing Shane does remember is loving Josie. Together they have to find out who is after them as well as what they mean to each other after being apart for several years.

There was a lot of this....

    Some of this.....

And most of the time I was like

Are they after Josie? Are they after Shane? Shane kept a lot of secrets from Josie in the short time that they were married. Can Josie trust Shane to keep her safe?

As things started to be revealed I was like

While everything wrapped up nicely for Shane and Josie things are not over for the Brothers. There are still unresolved issues the Brothers must face.

Overall, a really enjoyable read. Once I was done I wanted to jump right in to Matt's book, Sweet Revenge. I would definitely recommend this series if you are a fan of the romantic suspense genre.

  • Pamela(AllHoney)

The first book in the Sins Brothers series by Rebecca Zanetti. Josie Dean rushes to the hospital to find her husband, Shane Dean. He left her two years prior and she is in the process of seeking a divorce. But Shane has lost his memory and Josie takes him home.

Lots of action and suspense. Much was truly unbelievable but this is fiction so no big deal. Shane's brothers are introduced and there is a cliffhanger at the end but nothing that really bugged me too much. I will continue the series and recommend it.

    Plot and Story Line
Oh, my GOODNESS!!! Why have I waited so long to read this series *banging head against the wall* simply phenomenal and I read this so fast I could barely see straight. So dang good and boy did it pack a punch. Now I have read this author before, and even though I adore her Dark Protectors...these brothers...whew they are dang sexy, each and every one of them. This is Shane's story, he is the third brother. What we have here is four brothers, that were genetically altered, due to a military experiment, and they were raised in a military compound. Being taught to fight and to kill. But they have a motto "Never Alone", they stand together, fight together, and if necessary will die together. They have protected each other and will not give up on each other. The bonds that these brothers have to each other is so fantastic, they don't know what a family is, but you see they bond even though out of all the boys from the military training facility, they are the only brothers that stand together and love each other. Shane here is suffering from amnesia, which is not a good thing, considering that the brothers are being hunted by their enemy and the man that raised them, and trained them to kill. Shane married Janie because he fell in love and thought that he could protect her. But when he learns that his youngest brother has been killed, he is forced to leave Janie. What was most admirable about this book was seeing the sparks fly between Shane and Janie.

“I may not know myself right now, sweetheart. But I know I wouldn’t have let you go.” No way was he that fucking stupid

They definitely have no trouble in the sex department, and boy these two have quite the sensual explosion.
    “We are married.”
    “We’re about to get divorced.”…
“No.” He licked up her ear to bite the shell.
    She shivered in response. “Yes.”
“Nope.” His palm spread out across her bare midriff. “I may have screwed up, and we’ll find out why, but I won’t hurt you again. You’re mine, angel. The only thing in life that matters.”

From the very beginning of the story, there is quite a mystery surrounding Shane, and you sense how much Janie is trying to work through her feelings for Shane. Janie is such a lovely heroine, I quite adored her because she stood on her own, fighting for what she believed in and didn't back down. She had spine and heart and loved that quality to her character. Also what I found most endearing about her character, was how she treats the brothers. She has never had a true family, but she treats them as her own brothers and that just made me love her character even more. The danger sense increases with each chapter, and boy it never ended, and I LOVED every single moment of this book. I just couldn't put it down. And boy there were quite a few shocks that totally changed everything and threw me off. Unpredictable and packed with plenty of action and intensity. Literally this is one of the best reads all year!!! Rebecca Zanetti has done it again, created a thrilling and edgy fast paced romance that will have you at the edge of your seats.
    The Cover
First thing I noticed about this cover...is the eyes. We have a golden them to the cover, and then those vivid blue eyes, what a contrast and really draws the eye. Love the stance of confidence and sexy appeal.
    Overall View
Forgotten Sins is a book that will capture your attention from the first chapter....a sexy romance that has edge and mystery with plenty of sensuality and a reconnecting of two hearts.
    "I love you angel."
    The words were soft.
    The tone possessive.
    The promise absolute.
