I actually bought the Audio version and I'm soooooo glad I did because hearing the actual speeches, just as he gave them, in his own voice was so moving. (Several of them moved me to tears). People rave about Obama's oratory skills, but Reagan was so much better (and more sincere). It is so ironic that our country is in the same place it was when Reagan took office, but he was able to turn things around. by the end of his eight years in office, 16 million jobs were created...not meaningless government jobs - real private sector jobs. He lowered taxes and created wealth, not just for the wealthy, but brought the middle class up to a higher level. The world respected America. Americans respected America. Obama's plan is not working. He needs to rethink his strategy and go back and review Reagan's policies.

This book is a great read. It truly shows Reagan's ideology and how great his speechwriting was. Many of his speeches are clear, straightforward, and filled with common sense. I wasn't very political during the Reagan years as I was just getting into High School during the end of his Presidency but after reading this book years later I realized how much of a great person Reagan was.

Enjoyed listening to Reagan on these CDs. The only thing I disagreed with in his speeches was his idea to overturn the term limits of Presidents. That would have allowed BHO the 3rd term that he wanted which would have been a nightmare.

Liked hearing the warmth and sincerity in his words. Impressed by his Barry Goldwater speech because he wrote it himself.

I lived through all of the speeches, but was too young to know, or care about most of them. I think the ideas about which Ronald Reagan spoke are worthy of being taught in schools today. It’s a shame that schools, particularly in California, have other priorities that are useless in creating happy and productive Americans.

Wonderful! A president who spoke with confidence and whose words had power.

I got this book as a gift in high school, back when I was much more political than I am now.
I loved it so much that I memorized some of Reagan's speeches.
I flipped through it recently. Even though politically, I'm an independent, I still love reading him. -
Great book of selected speeches from Reagan. These were memorable speeches that impacted history.
