Mischief from the Back Pew Reviews

This book was an attempt at some Christian humor. I got some of the jokes, and even chuckled at them because they were clever.

Cute Christian humorous essays and stories. Very funny.
How can stories involving church be funny? Told by preacher's kids Todd and Jedd Hafer, these tales will tickle the funny bone of even the most serious reader. In a time when we all have the tendency to take ourselves a bit too seriously, Mischief From the Back Pew is just what the doctor (or perhaps the preacher) ordered. Divided into short, easy-to-read essays, its medicine for the soul can be enjoyed slowly, or quickly for an emergency dose of humor.
Included are hilarious tales on every subject from Christian concerts, to a day in the life of a Pastor, to telling the story of the Prodigal Son using words starting with the letter F. The Hafers poke tongue-in-cheek fun at churches, pastors, and their own lives. Readers get an inside look at what it's like to be interviewed on the radio, attend a book signing, and be arrested for trying to break into their father's church to get the mail.
The authors find the lighter side of many incidents that could make a person cry - such as owning a dog called Upchurch. I often laughed until tears were rolling down my face. In particular the typos and grammar errors of 'Bulletin Blooperz' hit home - 'Remember in prayer the sick of our church and community. Smile at someone who is hard to love. Say "hell" to someone who doesn't care much about you.'
I recommend Mischief From the Back Pew to readers of all faiths who want to add a measure of humor to their lives. -
Just okay. Nothing offensive, but few laugh-out-loud moments.

Need a lot of laughs? Then is is just the book for you!!! Written by two PKs (preacher's kids) that are also performers and grandiose storytellers, this one made me laugh outloud so many times, I was afraid the neighbors would think I'd completely lost it!! The authors share their best - and funniest - stories about enduring life in a pastoral family. I'm sending this to my sister's kids - also PKs - so they can read it and figure out how to write their own version of this one!
