You Know What I Love? Reviews
-
Told from a doll's point of view, this charming book recounts all of the reasons a doll loves her little girl. The tale is very sweet and the scrapbook like illustrations are sure to make it a hit when read aloud.
-
Cute story about a little girl and her doll. They love everything they do together, but they especially love each other.
-
The story itself was nice, but the doll creeped me out just a little. Coraline, anyone?

Very sweet.

Such a sweet, positive story! Framed in exchanges between a girl and her doll (or is it between the doll and her girl?)sentiments are shared. Whoever reads this aloud to a little one will inadvertently share these expressions of love too! What a perfect gift this would be for a daughter or a granddaughter!
The story also models affirmations and noticing little things, such as...
"that every morning, no matter what, you always say: "Today is going to be a beautiful day."
My own teenage daughter says everyday as she exists the car for school, "How can this day possibly get any better?" and I love that about her.
Perhaps I should take the author/illustrator's cue and make a book like this for those dear to me.
It's just that sort of book -- pay it forward! -
I love the sweetness of this and the ease with which it reads. I also like that on a quick read I couldn't tell if the narrator was the little girl or her doll. Might make a lovely read aloud for school age kids to discuss it's structure or as a mentor text for writing.

Another newly arrived picture book lands on my desk. Reading through this one, I am completely enthralled with this sweet story of a girl who loves her doll!

As my co-worker says "style points," but otherwise I didn't really respond to this short lovey story about a girl and her doll.

Such cute illustrations!

This book was great for my two month old. I've tried lots of books and she screams and gets mad at them. This one she loved! It was short and she loved looking at the bright patterns.
-
Sweet book on how big a girls love is for her doll.

Personal Note: Would work for Valentine's Day .
A sweet story for someone you love to the sky and back. So begins one doll's tender tribute to her little girl. From playing dress up to finding hidden treasures, these two always have fun because it turns out that what they love most of all is each other. Mimicking the close relationship between a parent and child, this is the perfect "I love you book" for the one nearest and dearest to you.
